Hi,
Yes some of these are options available in the new theme version. You can check the changelog here
– https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
And also on the live demo – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
Thanks
Hi,
I can confirm that I do not use Adblock on the Chrome browser or the Firefox browser that I used for testing. At the moment I do not see any ads on any of the websites you provided
– https://www.screencast.com/t/X9acPEOy1mPK
– https://www.screencast.com/t/qgRHmhbuW
Just an ad title and an empty space where the ad should be displayed. Also there seems to be a CDN permission error present – https://www.screencast.com/t/r9kA4cXc maybe that is related to the ads not being displayed.
You could try to disable all your plugins except the ones bundled with the theme, clear any caching installed and purge CDN files, maybe there is a conflict that is preventing the ads from appearing.
Thanks
Hi,
Please note that we have not testes any RSS plugins for importing content with the theme. The theme is created with using your own content in mind, creating posts and using them on blocks and other elements. I do not know how these plugins import the content, then process it, and how it is used in the theme. If you want to use this system and the current plugin is not working, you should try another one and see if it works properly. You can also search the forum, maybe some other users have managed to implement something like this for their website and could provide more information.
Thanks
Hi,
Maybe additional options will become available for this section in the future or for the featured category, but at the moment the related articles has no options for advanced filtering. If this request becomes more popular it will be considered as a possible implementation by default in the theme. I am sorry that I could not provide a more satisfying solution for you in this case.
Thank you for understanding!
Hi,
You could do that for a specific menu item in the header top menu, by identifying the menu item in question and then use some CSS to modify it – https://www.screencast.com/t/tiUNxRf031oB or set a custom class for that menu item – https://www.screencast.com/t/ZRMrR1lnW and use that in the code – https://www.screencast.com/t/iXitiiWZElN
If you would like to make the social icons in the top menu bigger, you could do that like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/84xYZw6LQSf9
This is the code used in the example, but you can modify it to how you like
.td-header-sp-top-widget i:before {
font-size: 20px;
}
Here is a tutorial about using the browser inspector to identify the elemets used on the pages and their classes
in order to create custom code – https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
Thanks
Hi,
Please use this guide to configure the social counter properly
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/
If you are having problems receiving the Facebook token please read this topic
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/problem-with-facebook-social-counter/ and use the social counter plugin provided there and also the additional steps.
Also please note that some delay is possible for the data to synchronize, you could try to configure the social counter, clear any caching installed and just give it a little more time.
Thanks
Hi,
I do not know how are you getting these problems. Please note that Visual composer is fully supported with the Newspaper theme and we did not have any bad reports in this regard. There are no known incompatibility issues between the theme and Visual composer if used as recommended.
Conflicts can happen with other plugins, so please try and make a fresh theme install – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ and then test this while having only Visual composer active, and no other plugins. Also please consider that if you are using Visual composer on posts, this is not recommended and could provide unexpected issues.
The theme has these requirements – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ and also some modifications to some parameters as mentioned here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thanks
Hi,
These are the available post templates – https://forum.tagdiv.com/post-templates-2/ that can be seen on the demo as well – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
If you would like to use the featured image as background you must choose post template style 8 that has this feature. The featured video options is to be used only with these post templates as mentioned here – https://www.screencast.com/t/Oh5mA5vPQt
More information about the featured image/video here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image-or-video/
A background image can be set for the whole website like this – https://forum.tagdiv.com/background-introduction/
Thanks
Hi,
After you deactivate the Visual composer plugin you must also delete it and then upload the new version. Here is a tutorial about the update process – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
If it says that the folder already exists you must check in the wp-content/plugins folder if there still is a js_composer folder and remove it, then try the installation again. Disabling and deleting it from the plugins section should remove this folder automatically.
Thanks
Hi,
We have not made any tests regarding this, so I could not provide any recommendations in this matter. You could give it a try and follow the steps required, but also make a backup before modifying the theme files. Maybe other users have tried this and can provide a solution or valuable information for you.
Thanks
Hi,
You can find more information here in this topic – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/google-amp-3/
Thanks
Hi,
Please provide more information about how exactly you are creating your posts with Visual composer. All the available post page font settings are here – https://www.screencast.com/t/AbafSG1zN0ll as well as all the other font settings for the theme elements – https://forum.tagdiv.com/font-customization/
Thanks
Hi,
That was a suggestion to check the theme status, because this could be the cause for example changes not saving or applying. Maybe that was not the case in this situation. Please check if you have the the required font weight enabled here in the theme panel – https://www.screencast.com/t/66BwmasYDrc and enable it if it is not.
Thanks
Hi,
Thank you for your appreciation. The only available ad spots at the moment are in the ones in Theme panel->Ads.
There are no options to use ads in the category page and tag page except for the ones that you can use in the sidebars. You can have a sidebar for each of the categories – https://www.screencast.com/t/cWi36ghUN one for the tag page – https://www.screencast.com/t/zToAyGogVY and also one for the attachment page
– https://www.screencast.com/t/XOe2x8jil
In these sidebars you can use ad box elements with custom ads for example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/TwErpn5a9IbE
These templates for the categories and tags are predefined, and do not have any other ad related options by default. If you want like to implement different ads in these templates it would require to modify the theme files.
Thanks
Hi,
There is no option to make the post page full width, at the moment. If you would like to have more space for the post content try removing the sidebar from the post if you consider that this will be better. With the latest update there were introduced some settings to make a few of the elements full width – https://www.screencast.com/t/gkDA9usPPh maybe some other full width options will be available in a future update, but I can not say for sure if or when this will happen.
Thanks
Hi,
The envato license specifies you can use the theme on a single end-product at a time –
– http://themeforest.net/licenses/standard
A sub-domain however can be used and the theme activated on it, if it’s part of the same project. You can use the theme on this sub-domain, as long as it will not be a different website with different content.
Thanks
Hi,
I do not know what this is about but you should follow the link they provided, and fix whatever they are saying you are violating. It mentioned that if you fix those issues and then send them a request for reconsideration, the restrictions will be removed.
Thanks
Hi,
Please check these parameters and make modification to them if required, as mentioned in this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
This could be the reason for settings not saving or applying in some cases, and can be fixed by setting these values for the parameters.
Thanks
Hi,
You can try the solution from this topic – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-create-a-google-custom-search-page/ for desktop, and maybe try to adapt it for the mobile theme if it is possible.
Thanks
Hi,
We are aware of this issue with the social counter plugin. Please follow this topic here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/problem-with-facebook-social-counter/
Remove your old social counter plugin and install the one provided in the topic. Then clear your browser cache, and configure the socials again.
Thank you for understanding!
Hi,
Please note that when using the mobile theme plugin, this comes with predefined templates for pages, posts etc. There is only one smart list template available, and that will be displayed regardless of what is set on desktop. If you want it to display the same, just disable the plugin. You can not have only parts of the website display with the mobile theme. The theme has full responsive design for every device and will display the same content like on desktop adapted for smaller screens.
More information about the mobile theme here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thanks
Hi,
Please try to disable all your plugins except Visual composer and the mobile theme plugin, clear any caching installed, and check again. The mobile theme is fully tested and it is working properly, maybe a plugin is interfering with it.
If you would like to make the website faster, it is recommended to use this caching plugin
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ with that configuration
Also please check this available tutorial about improving page speed on your website
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Thanks
Hi,
From what I can see some of your ads are not displaying on both of the sites you provided on desktop and non mobile
– https://www.screencast.com/t/kjihczq2Wy
– https://www.screencast.com/t/hpteqV632mB
If you are not using adsense for your ads, you just have to enter the ad code in the respective section in the theme panel, and the theme will detect this and render it unmodified – https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/
For the mobile theme the ad codes must be entered in the mobile theme section in theme panel
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Maybe the codes you are entering are not valid, or require additional implementation. If you are using a plugin for the ads maybe it is not compatible with the theme or not configured properly. Or another plugin is conflicting with the ads, so you can try disabling them all, except Visual composer, clear any caching installed, purge CDN files and check again.
Thanks
Hi,
1. You could try this solution – https://www.screencast.com/t/XsJRdIVpViPz that causes the meta to display on the bottom of the module, if that is what you would like for the big grids on that particular style. This is the code used, you must enter it in Theme panel->Custom Css
.td-grid-style-6 .td-meta-info-container {
top: auto;
}
2. The weather widget is working properly on my end – https://www.screencast.com/t/sySxMNZhmij Try disabling all your plugins except the ones bundled with the theme, clear any caching installed and check again. Also make sure to have the latest version for these plugins from the theme package.
Thanks
Hi,
You can change the color properties for the sub menu items in the theme panel, like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/12rwOBNqcR3H
And also the font properties for the sub menu like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/6V40QeOd8X
Thanks
