Dear Tagdiv Staff!

We have a huge problem what must to solve please.
We have a news paper theme and it’s reached the maximum limit of server processor.
The entry process number reach the 2000 and more … this is an extremly number and the server has crashed many many times.
We switch off all plugins except Tagdiv composer and other Tagdiv plugins, but the processor usage don’t fall.
After we turn off the theme and change it to another the resource usage going down. The first time when we detect this problem the lastest newspaper update. Before, we haven’t got any big problem, but yet, it is horrible and haven’t any idea about the solution. There is the latest wordpress info:

Good afternoon, I’ve been trying to improve the performance of my site for a while, and I’m somewhat desperate. I have followed some tutorials from this forum, but I am unable to improve the results.
I have the mobile theme active and I do not exceed 15 in Pagspeed. And regarding the desktop version I did not exceed 65.
I have installed Super Cache, Autoptimize, and use Cloudflare. Everything with the configuration here recommended.
Could you help me improve my results?
I have full control over the server so I can make all kinds of adjustments.
My site is https://rockandblog.net

Thank you very much!

Hello !

This happens due to cache. Please follow our guide and make sure that WP Super Cache has been installed properly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

Let us know the result.

Thank you !

Hello,

I installed Newspaper theme to our web server like month ago. We started facing a lot of ajax-load afterwards and our whole server crashed last week. After the crash our site started working again when hosting company restarted some services. After few days problems started again and we are facing Error 500 pages frequently. Hosting company’s support checked error logs and here is part of their reply. Do you know why this is happening?

“The 500+ errors are caused by server load spikes. Basically, the server runs out of free resources and our monitoring system starts killing processes in order to maintain the server’s stability. Example:

Sep 08 00:41:46 xxxxxx: High load (33.15) reached!
Sep 08 00:41:46 xxxxxx: Critical load (33.15) reached! Killing all php,ftp,smtp,mailnull,archivers procs!

Current time:
Tue Sep 8 00:57:59 CDT 2020

I carefully checked the access logs from the time the load spiked and the requests towards the website were a lot. Specifically, there were a lot of admin-ajax.php requests running for the 2 minutes when the load was spiking. The requested URLs are:

1 /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=oembed-cache&post=5949318&_fs_blog_admin=true
1 /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=oembed-cache&post=5949334&_fs_blog_admin=true
2 /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
219 /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?_fs_blog_admin=true
1240 /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?td_theme_name=Newspaper&v=10.3.6.1

I recommend checking on this either with the theme’ developers or a professional WordPress developer.”

I can give you more details privately if needed. Thanks.

Hi,

From what I can tell there is a resize parameter for the images inside the post content. So for example while the image should be this
https://i0.wp.com/coinalways.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/MANABTC.png
It is this
https://i0.wp.com/coinalways.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/MANABTC.png?resize=696%2C299&ssl=1
I believe Jetpack does that, are you using the Jetpack photon? https://jetpack.com/support/site-accelerator/
Would it be possible to deactivate it and check again? Maybe clear the cache as well.

Thank you!

Hi,

We will reply as soon as possible.

1. There is no setting crated specially for changing the font properties for the smart list 6. If you just want to change the font size I could create a CSS code for it.
For example – https://prnt.sc/udf08q

.td_smart_list_6 .td-sml-description li{
font-size: 20px;
}

2. The recent posts widgets is not a block we provide, it is provided by WordPress. So it cannot use the agitation we have created for our blocks, like the next/prev pagination.

3. Plaese check here – https://prnt.sc/udf39i Clock on default there and save. Then check if the email address uses the theme accent color.

4. I could remove it with some CSS, the option is not per desktop/mobile, it is general.
Try this code, it will remove the more articles box on mobile

@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td-more-articles-box {
display: none;
}}

5. I have no suggestion unfortunately, I have not tried such plugins. Try some of these for example https://winningwp.com/best-related-post-plugins-for-wordpress/

For mobile speed we recommend to use the mobile plugin https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/ Which can be used with AMP as well, like this https://tagdiv.com/blazing-fast-websites-how-to-optimize-amp-with-newsmag-theme/

The super cache should be set like this https://tagdiv.com/wp-super-cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
You can also try the autoptimize plugin, that should speed up the website as well.

Thank you!

Hi,

So, yes: before contacting you I disabled all plugins (using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin). I installed (and uninstalled) the suggested Cache plugin. Disable all cache plugins, CDN and cache in my hosting provider. I rebuilt the menu.

Nothing stopped my mobile hamburger menu to reload the page as I click on it, and not simply open it and wait until something is clicked.

When clicked, the hamburger menu opens and starts a search (just like a product search in Woocommerce). https://prnt.sc/udan0r

Thanks for your (great) support.

ps: BTW, is there a way to change the layout of the “searching” box? (That’s something that I’d like to do later on when get to the Woocommerce setup.)

Hey,

I need to modify a template from tagdiv composer but it loads indefinitely and doesn’t display anything.
I feel like the TagDiv Cloud Library plugin is broken (and it seems I’m not the only one).

==> Do you have a solution ? Because your whole theme works with this plugin…
(I already uninstalled the plugin, clear the cache… etc)

Thank you

Hi support team,

Actually I have tested my website on google page speed insights, when compared with Desktop score my mobile score is very low [30]. SO please suggest to me how can I increase both the desktop and also the mobile speed score. I have found wp super cache conflicts issues. SO please recommend the best plugins to optimize and to increase my website speed. I need your support so please suggest to me.

Thank You so much! Please Reply me.

Hi,

There was an issue like you mention after the latest update, reinstalling the composer and clearing the browser cache (this is very important) solved the problem.

If it still does not work for you, we could take a closer look at it. You can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website and admin login. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Thank you!

Hi,

Are you maybe using the mobile theme plugin? That would explain if the content from desktop is not displayed on mobile. Is the slider inside a page? It can be displayed in a mobile page if that is what you want by entering its shortcode in the mobile editor for the desired page, for example
https://www.screencast.com/t/VgOkSnGNH
https://www.screencast.com/t/wl4DV430wn
https://www.screencast.com/t/nYOxP1ac033

Maybe the issue is like this:

The super cache actually displays the mobile theme, and you are seeing the mobile theme version https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/

The rocket plugin does not display the mobile theme, so the same content from desktop will be used on mobile.

Let me know.

Thank you!

Hi Vlad.
Thanks for your support but… Your screenshot does not match with the views counter of the related posts.
If I open the webpage I can see exactly what you shown at the screenshot, but if I check the views counter I have the following:

“Cómo adaptarse a la nueva…” post, 42 views
https://snipboard.io/LXBdCx.jpg

“Necsum Trison gana…” post: 54 views
https://snipboard.io/iADwxo.jpg

“Así sera el Burger Kin…” post, 60 views
https://snipboard.io/dz7AVN.jpg

“Wagamama…”, post, 68 views
https://snipboard.io/yVIuEf.jpg

So according to that data, I would expect a different sorting. Despite the fact of the browser cache, at your screenshot the order is different from the views count. Is there anything wrong? Am I misunderstanding something? Not only there are post with more views than others, but the sorting is also different from expected…

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

That could happen, the mobile theme is sensitive to caching. Did this happen only after enabling the CDN? If you clear the CDN cache does it solve the issue? https://support.stackpath.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001134763-How-To-Purge-files-from-the-StackPath-CDN

Maybe something like this would work but I can’t say for sure https://support.stackpath.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036571212-CDN-Settings-Dynamic-caching-by-header

Are you using a caching plugin besides the CDN?

Thank you!
