I tried with no plugins active, except theme plugins. Right now, it doesn’t appear the 502 bad gateway error, but there’s just a blank page when I click on “Edit on TD Composer”. Can I do more or I have to send you an email at contact@tagdiv.com?

Most of the things you want to do would be solved by simply reading the block settings guide in the documentation

Each grid and block can be set to display posts from the category you want, sorted as you want.
An invalid sorting will result in the elements not displaying any posts (no posts message). So please edit the page with the composer and configure the grids/blocks as you want (filter tab).

Make sure that your page builder is active (TD Composer or Visual Composer). The tags which are displayed on your frontend seems to come from Visual Composer. I suggest you recreate from scratch that page only with TD Composer, clear all the caches and check the results. Should works.

You can set a website homepage, not a post page. That setting is not used by the theme. Create as many pages as you like with the composer and display what you want in them

In a text column for example you can style text as needed. Use Shift+Enter for a single line space.

I inserted the blog 4 (and also some other types) into one page and on the tag div composer view everything looks good. Afterwards i opened the page on different other brothers but the pictures of the posts are not shown anywhere else.

That issue may happen if the posts have been built with Visual composer, and the other provided page builder tagDiv composer is active. If that is the case, leave the tagDiv composer deactivated.

The composer sidebar does not look as intended, seems to be broken. I have checked the text column widget, there is a text color setting in it with block header style 6

If you do not have these options, try deactivating the composer and removing it. Then install it again from the theme panel plugins section

There is no error, please ignore that message. There is no need to activate bundled versions of Visual composer. When an update is released for Visual composer we will include it in the theme package, when the theme is also updated

How do I get the text to insert the hard return after paragraphs.

I have done something wrong with my homepage and I don’t know what. My old homepage works. I redesigned a new page and in the settings linked the new paper. The above link is the result. The header doesn’t display, and the images drop off. They are all there in the TD Composer.
I have clearly done something wrong. Any help would be great.

Hi there,
Since updating to the latest newspaper version I’ve come across a bug when using TD Composer. When using header 6 for text widget elements the option to choose the color no longer comes up. Also not sure if this is related by as seen in the image the top styling of TG composer looks odd, it’s been like that for a while before the update but isn’t a major issue.

I bought the Newspaper template and there is Visual composer in it, but I still get an error in the WordPress admin panel that visual composer is not activated.
Hi – quick question for anyone. In the “Business” demo there is today’s date in a column on the left underneath a big grid. I am using TD Composer and can’t find what element to put in that would change the date. If someone could post how to do that I would appreciate it.

Maybe the theme did not update or install properly. Please download the theme package again and try again to install it, by FTP would be the most recommended method

Deactivate and remove the tagDiv composer and multi-purpose plugins, then install them again from the latest theme package.
Additionally deactivate all other plugins, do not enter any code in the theme files, temporarily switch to the main theme if you use a child theme. Let us know the results.

Newspaper theme was working very properly. I was very satisfied customer of newspaper theme. But, now a days, theme is affecting wordpress. I became so frustrated with my messy wordpress that I reset my whole wordpress database to counter the problem but problem remain as usual. I tried another wordpress theme to check that & i found that wordpress theme is working properly. I got HTTP 500 error due to td composer once. However I removed that part. My yoast & other plugins is not working. I think my newspaper theme got malware affected. Please help me .. please…

It seems there is a problem with the composer, it is not functioning correctly. Try as a first step to deactivate all other plugins except theme plugins. Deactivate all the browser extensions and clear the browser cache (alternatively test with a different browser). Please let us know the results.

1. Indeed the default value is only a placeholder, it does not apply o the image. You need to enter the value you want in that field.
2. That is exactly what the issue was. No icons were loading on the actual page, despite them showing in the composer as you are building the page. As I mentioned the theme package was re-uploaded and the issue fixed. Currently there is no such problem anymore.
If you reinstalled the theme, clear all caching, including browser cache. Force refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R) and check the results.
In case there is still an issue, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information, as well as FTP access. Make a backup of the website before. We will take a look.

It seems there is an issue with the news ticker element, the color is not applying for the text when configured in the composer. I will add this issue on our list and it will be fixed as soon as possible.
In the meantime as a quick fix, if you want to change the color of the text in the news ticker use a code like this

It is not advised to make modifications to the grids and blocks in terms of layout. This may break the elements. They are predefined and are designed to use fixed thumbnail dimensions so there will be problems.

On pages you can use the composer to place any elements you want. So either create the page with the composer, or consider creating a post instead of a page. That way you can create smart lists or use post pagination
