Hi,
I use a row on my homepage with two colums: 7/12 + 5/12 Created in Visual Composer. (My website: http://airportal.hu/ – see the top part of the page)
When I install & switch on Tagdiv Composer that part of the page appears in one column (1/1).
I’d use Tagdiv Composer because it’s nice plugin, but because of thes problem I had to get rid of it.
Would you fix this maybe in the next releases?

Is it possible to have the option to filter the content in a block using custom taxonomies instead of just regular categories?
If it’s not possible, do you plan to add this in the future? Or maybe can point me to the relevant files that take care of this functionality so that I can extend it myself, if the functions are pluggable.

Visual Composer (WPBakery Page Builder) and PHP 7.2 compatibility
Unfortunately, there are compatibility issues when you are using the Visual Composer (WPBakery Page Builder) v 5.4.5 with PHP 7.2. This is not a theme related issue, it occurs with any other WordPress theme in an installation with PHP 7.2. As you can check here the WPBakery team is aware of this compatibility issue and will be soon releasing an update to address it.
One temporary solution is to ask your hosting provider to switch to a version of PHP prior to PHP 7.2. This is safe, easy and free.

I’ve updated from 8.5~ to 8.7.2 as I wanted to take advantage of the new built-in Newsletter plugin. I activated it under the Newsletter plugin section with no problems and I can see it under my Installed Plugins section. However, I’m not seeing Newsletter under tagDiv Composer. In fact, when I look at your tutorial under the docs on how to use Newsletter, I can see your tagDiv composer looks vastly different from mine.
I’ve deactivated tagDiv composer and reactivated it to see if that would do anything and it did not.
I also DO NOT have FTP access.

but all my categories settings of my pages are been changed.
i used “a category” = “a page”
All this categories settings were adjusted like i wanted.
and my pages were displayed like i wanted.
I don’t remember to have changed something recently.
I used to set it with “Theme Panel / Categories / Category Settings”
all my categories are here and i changed settings here, and it worked.
My pages were displayed like i wanted.
Now, pages are not displayed like i want at all !
When i change any categories settings with “Theme Panel / Categories / Category Settings” = nothing change !!!
the only way to change categories settings is to edit a page with TD composer. it’s not perfect but some elements are missing or are display not like i want or some elements that i can’t delete”

Hi Catalin, thanks but it seems I already have TD Composer 2.1, and the cache was cleared yesterday. I re-installed the theme and it has the latest TD Composer in it. Not sure why that isn’t working.
The visual composer don’t work on my pages anymore
There were such issues in the previous theme version, but they are fixed in 8.7.2. Most users do not have this problem anymore. Re-download the theme package and install it

By FTP would be most recommended. Deactivate all other plugins, leave only theme plugins active. If you use Visual composer, deactivate the tagDiv composer. If you use the tagDiv composer make sure it is version 2.1

Indeed, the tagDiv composer plugin does not pose a security issue, that is a false positive as you mention. No need to worry in this matter.

It should be present in the composer element list by default. If it is not then there is a problem. Try deactivating and removing the composer plugin, then install it again from the theme plugins panel. The composer plugin is now version 2.1.
Additionally deactivate all other plugins except theme plugins as a quick test, check if this has any effect. It is unusual that only the slide is missing. Let us know the results.

Instead of using predefined footer templates which cannot be modified in terms of column layout, you could display a page in the footer

Create a page with the composer and use any layout you want with the available row settings, then set it in the footer. A row can be split in maximum of 4 columns with the tagDiv composer, but there are inner rows which can be split even more

After updating the template to version 8.7.2, errors 502 and 504
Plugins updated to the latest version, but the site is very much falling. Hoster began to swear on Visual Composer, ostensibly he calls function of shortcodes 13 times
The new theme version (8.7.2) and tagDiv composer version 2.1 have received many speed improvements in the latest update. So there should be no problem in the matter, as long as you are using this version and the system status is set according to the recommendations.
You could try with all plugins deactivated, leave only theme plugins active. Then test to see if there is still a problem.
We could take a look, please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, FTP access and cPanel access if possible. Make a backup of the website before. Mention what exactly we should test if the issue is specific to particular actions.

Ensure that your theme has been installed via FTP way and the TD COmposer has been updated to the latest version of it. The TD Composer should not disappear if you will not remove it, sorry! Try my advice and check the results.

Hi Previously i was using Newspaper 7 with visual composer and I was able to add WordPress Default Widgets like Categories and other available widgets to the homepage. I am referring to this setting from VisualComposer. However after upgrading to Newspaper 8.7, I cannot see these options of WordPress widgets in the tag div composer. I am particularly interested with the Categories option to have a drop down of all the categories in my homepage. Note that my homepage does not have sidebar.

Open the page in the editor and edit the slider with td composer and on the filter tab, just change the filter from random to latest.
Newspaper Theme Version 8.7.2
I’ve noticed odd overlaying text when working with blocks. I’ve attached images of both the General and Style blocks while working in tagDiv Composer. Please advise on correcting this issue. Thanks.

yes, I realiazed this and figured an easy work around.
Here is a brief overview:
1. on desktop show the background video as you normally would.
2. use the icon at the top of TD composer to hide this from mobile devices
3. on mobile and tablets, again use the layout icons at the top of the TDcomposer to define the style for each mobile device, and add a custom row just for the mobile device.
4. Use an animated GIF an an image backgorund derived from the video to show only on mobile
5. hide it from from the desktop.
I have it working now and it’s a solid workaround. The gif qaulity could be better, but it is indeed working. I will work on the qaulity later.
