Hi,
If you use visual composer elements, some migh have to be re-created. Please delete your current element and re-create it in visual composer. Do not use both editors on the same page though. If you create a page in visual composer, do not use the tagdiv composer on it also.
Thank you!
Hello,
The documentation is up now. It takes a bit of time to update everything.
Here is the guide on the new builder: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
All of the theme documentation was updated now for the new version
Thank you!
Hello,
Please Use this guide to learn how to use the new tagdiv composer:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Simply click on the element you added and the settings will appear in the composer screen:

Thank you!
hello
i have updated to newspaper 8 but the composer is not working , when i drag drop its keeps on waiting and also i am unable to save the page also
thanks
Hi there, after updating to V.8 some of my blocks are checked to be hidden on desktop and show on mobile but these blocks are always showing in any size…. any idea? thanks
Hello apoellin,
In the past, if you have used the Visual Composer please keep in mind that in the future you should use only the td-composer and the shortcodes from Visual Composer will be recognized by the td-composer if the VC will be disabled. You can update your theme without problems.
Thanks for the message!
I guess you might have deleted the element from Visual Composer perhaps. Try going back to page and use Backend Editor. There, just find Property section and below it, add a new section- Latest and use latest articles for it.
I tried to use the TagDiv composer to create a youtube playlist.
I entered the video IDs in the options.
The website fails to show the video player but instead it just shows a black box.
Since my website is still under development, the server is not viewable by the public,
please see the screen captures at the link below:

Thank you!
I just dont know what to do with Visual Composer and TagDiv composer. Waiting for explanations from delvelopers or support.
Am I missing something or you can only place elements in new TagDiv Composer? There are no detailed settings for each block like in Visual Composer. So at the end TagDiv Composer in current state is just flashy WYSIWYG editor of homepage where you can preview changes, but I still have to use Visual Composer to setup all settings of blocks…
Hello Aakash,
Unfortunately, notice that issue does not come from our theme because this file is strictly related to WordPress, sorry! The theme is fully tested and should work as expected if the WordPress is not right. If you are using some untested plugins you should disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all the caches and install only the plugins which come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins, sorry! Also, you should try switching the theme to the default one and check if the behavior is still there.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
I’d be keen to know this too!
Preferred upgrade method and moving from VC to the TagDiv composer – simple?
I just updated the theme. I did not found any documentation for this update.
So i did backup of active theme. Then renamed old theme to Newspaper-v78, and uploaded new theme files. Everything works fine.
The only issues is Visual Composer and TagDic composer. How to use them. Can i remove visual composer and use TD composer or how it should be done.
Hi,
This should not happen when updating WordPress. You seem to be missing the post options and all other elements from the post edit screen. Also the settings form Visual composer seem to be set properly. Try updating the Visual composer editor to the latest version provided in the theme package

Hi, I am using Latest version of Newspaper 7. If I move to Newspaper 8, is there any chance to break anything? Specially as you are using tagDiv Composer, will it break previous Visual Composer posts and pages? Also, will be safe to only use Visual Composer for the structure and new pages of the site in the future updates of your theme?
Now! Version 8.0!
You can now make pages on the front end using our tagDiv composer – the first pagebuilder ever created for blogs, news and magazine websites. The pagebuilder is much lighter than Visual Composer and it’s much easier to use.

Hi,
The theme blocks for example will only work with Visual composer. We have not tested any other page builder. We have not tested the beaver builder so we cannot say for sure if it will even run with the theme, or what problems you may face. You will have to give it a try if you own a copy of the builder and see if you can manage to make things work. Maybe consider making a backup before though, just to be safe.
Thanks
Hello,
I have tested the block header 5 style again but it seems to be working properly:
https://www.screencast.com/t/O5e8Xua38
There could be something on your end affecting it.
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello,
I have tested the site on both android and iOS but it seems to have difficulties in loading the site correctly. I have not encountered the social icons problem but we have seen the menu not loading so there is clearly a problem in loading the correct content on your site.
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Let us know how it goes
Thank you!
Hi,
So I understand that it worked properly until a given time. That means that a recent change or modification caused the issue. This should not happen, the Visual composer that is provided in the theme package is fully tested and compatible with the theme. You should be able to use the editor without any problems of this kind.
Maybe something else is causing this issue. I suggest you disable all your plugins except Visual composer, clear any caching installed and check if this has any effect. Also if you are using a child theme try switching to the main theme to rule that out as well.
Please let us know how it goes.
Thanks
Even if you disable all plugins, the problem will not be solved.
Is it due to wordpress version upgrade?
Is it possible to solve by downgrading?
I upgraded wordpress, upgrade the plugin, upgraded the theme at the same time.
Is it because of it?
The settings of Visual Composer are as follows.
Hi Simion,
I have done the following on the block settings, enable 80×60 and 0x420
And this is how the visual composer look like http://prntscr.com/fbe0iy
This is how the tagdiv gallery look like http://prntscr.com/fbe0sp
Appreciate.
(One of your colleagues keep saying its working well despite its now)
I use the TagDiv Composer as replacement, as it will work with all the modules and whatnot to match theme. 🙂
Hello, All –
I’m a big fan of the Newspaper theme. The only downside is I really don’t care about Visual Composer. I have a license to use Beaver Builder on as many sites as I like and would much rather use that instead. Realistically, if I were to remove VC from Newspaper, what would be the consequences?
I’ve already tried it and so I know the Homepage does not work as intended – but is that it?
Are there any other problems waiting for me?!
Either way I’m sure Beaver Builder will be a perfect replacement.

Yes; in house builder (‘TagDiv Composer’) muuuuuuch lighter than VC, as it doesn’t try to be every damn idea ever invented on the web. In a perfect world VC would have a develop and deploy mode; meaning, design what you want, then export only what you need to keep lean CSS and not run the damn thing full tilt. It’s very very popular with the top themes on ThemeForest, but on certain servers (esp if using PHP 5.4!) it can be a beast.
PHP 5.6 helps with opcache.
But the TagDiv composer works great. I’m using it on several sites since August last year and works marvy!
