Tagdiv composer etc I’m sure is a step forward,qiuicker etc – but as a busy news site I haven’t got time to take risks with it – what I can’t believe is that still in Newspaper8, ‘native’ videos (from library) can’t be used as Featured ‘image’ in posts – this is essential now, all brands do it, the theme is great, I’ve loved it, but it is becoming out of date with ‘news’ websites.

Sadly I feel sure that at some point I’ll have to move to one that allows modern news, or get a developer to do what should be standard – the theme should be like the ‘National/Internartional’ titles in terms of content presentation – I fear the development may be in the wrong features.

Hi, the Visuall Composer makes Fails with the Video PLugin…if i use https the videos doesent match…and where i can get the license from the composer to activate them???

I succeeded in updating the Visual composer.
However, the article posting management screen is displayed correctly, but it is not displayed on the site.

With visual composer I was using the grid builder to achieve the category sorting. But now with TD this option is not available. Do you plan to add it later?

I migrate from js_composer to td-composer (maybe it is not a good idea)

– still can not activate theme

They introduced their own composer, in the past it was WPBakery Visual Composer, now they added TD Composer.

I did clean theme update too, but now if i disable WPBakery plugin, some blocks doesnt work. I checked TD Composer, and indeed i didnt found Tabs block in the new page builder, thats why it is crashing.

Other than that is working ok for me

That means that we can delete WPBakery Visual Composer plugin?

Oh sorry dunno how I missed it. Probably used to Edit button in Visual Composer. Thanks for explanation, case closed 🙂

Hello I have updated lifenewscy.com to the latest Newspaper 8 and used the TD Composer.

Some problems:
1) Smart side bar is not working on homepage created with TD Composer.
2) I need to use Big Grid 7 (you can see it in the middle of the home page) but each block to display individual category. Is this possible?

I have really to say one thing: thank you tagdiv for the great update to v8.0.

Everything works great and no problems after i updated from v7. The tagdiv composer is great and adopted nearly all old vc settings. Just to edit some little things. And now the theme runs faster and lighter then with the vc.

Do I understand correctly that the Visual Composer in the future more will not be supported?

I think the documentation (which is currently under update) all these details will be outlined.
