Hello gauravkohli,
Unfortunately, your steps are not ok. First of all, please try to make a clean install, without any copies and replacements of style.css. For more information about how to update your theme, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ and then, after you have the latest version of the theme you have to check your old CSS in Theme panel->Cusotm CSS area and see if this will apply to your new version if this is valid. If your custom CSS is valid and are applied to the latest version you leave on Theme panel->Custom CSS box or you can move the code in the bottom of the file in style.css.
Hope this helps!
Thank you for the message!
Hello Reza,
Unfortunately, as I said you above, the premium version of SEO Yoast is not tested with our theme, sorry! We recommend using the free version of the plugin (v.3.1.2) because this version is tested with the theme and everything seems to work as expected. In your case is talking about the conflict between theme and plugins. As a suggestion, you can try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer and your SEO Yoast Premium plugin to active, clear all cache and check if this plugin is working, otherwise please notice that we do not have the workaround in this regard, sorry!
Please keep in mind, that most often, these kinds of conflicts between plugins are resolved by the plugin’s author or these will be fixed in the future updates. As you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/G17fxxmOzSpq the Visual Composer should be valid with all versions of SEO Yoast. You can try to contact the Visual Composer author in this case and ask them about this problem because they should be able to provide a more accurate response than our team.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
In my reply above you will see a link to our page speed guide. There is a plugin for it named visual composer. Please follow the guide carefully and speedbooster will take cvare of render blocking. Please also follow this topic to learn about speedbooster’s plugin protection: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/incompatible-plugin-detected/
Thank you!
Hi,
Please disable ALL your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test again to see if there is any improvement. Please follow this guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ as i have checked your site with google pagespeed and saw that you need to optimize your site.
Thank you!
I’m doing a clean install on a new EC2 instance. If I install the 2.3.6 package with the 13 April js_composer, will Visual Composer then work properly?
Hello vadikcoma,
I have checked your website and I saw that you are using a lot of untested plugins which could interfere with the theme and create some unknown issue. For a quick workaround, you have to use a bit of CSS code to fix it.
The code is ->
.wpb_wrapper h3 {
margin-top: 0!important;
}
The result you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/IDmndnlOc
Also, please notice that you should disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
Thank you for the message!
Hi Andrei,
The update of the theme is fine, but the upgrade of the plugin visula composer it isn’t.
I follow the instructions but it says that is the file exeeds the maximum upload filesize. Do I have to unziped or how can I go back to the older version?
Many thanks!
Hello aktifje,
Please ensure that you have correctly followed the steps for optimization you website speed according to our tutorial. Please notice that by default, the style.css file is directly moved to the footer when the speed booster is active. If you want to move the js_composer.min.css to the footer section you have to add it manually through plugin’s file, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/k6ll3aTkgTaa The code that you have to add it there is -> $this->move_style_to_footer_queue('js_composer_front');
Please notice that to make your website faster it is a complex task and require some customizations in order to achieve best results. In the future, if you want to make a deeper development through theme and you are not aware of the steps you needed in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!
Thank you for the message!
Hello, I’m having small issue on my site with visual composer.
Link – https://www.coma.lv/wordpress-website-development/
Section in question is “project”, where last project is slightly below others. There are no blank spaces in admin. I’ve checked all text in editor.
Screenshot – https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2547869/space.JPG
Maybe you have idea how to align them properly?
Hello wira,
I have checked your website and I saw that your images are not shown to your side. Also, I checked your console and there you have some js errors, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/SRyjbnnSn I suspect this issue come from your untested plugins which interact with the theme and could create some unknown issues. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Also, you can try to turn off the lazy load feature from Theme panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/EJGtD4Fp if you have active this option.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks.
Hello DonCuniff,
Please notice that we do not have instruction about how to change the text or graphical content for the demo version. You simply have to check your backend and try to edit yourself the default setup page for Default demo or what kind of demo you are using. Before to do that, please check this tutorial where you can see how can be used Visual Composer in our theme, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
the new version of wordpress and visual composer could have compatibility issues on older IE versions. if you use IE, make sure you use at least version 10. Older versions tend to not recognize some html 5 elements.
Thank you!
Hi,
I’m not sure where the TD_TOP_BAR_TEMPLATE_DX comes from as there is no such template in our theme. please restore the theme to it;s defaults, disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn. Also, you might want to update the theme and the visual composer plugin.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. You might also want to update your theme to the latest version and also update your version of visual composer as there were compatibility issues between the plugin and the new version of WP.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
Hi
After WordPress’s last update there appeared a jQuery conflict in our theme. We fixed this conflict and the current theme version available on themeforest works fine, also we included last version of Visual Composer plugin.
Try to update the theme at V 2.3.6, and Visual Composer at V 4.11.2 following our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
Hi
Make sure you’re using last plugin’s version included in theme’s path, 4.11.2, clear all caches and test again: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
If you still have this issue please provide your site url so I can have a closer look.
Thanks!
Hello pimllc,
You have to update the theme because in the latest update of the theme you can find the latest version of Visual Composer and Revolution Slider. Please check our changelog, here -> http://screencast.com/t/oqP1rVjX7du You will not loose your data because these were registered in your database.
Thank you for your understanding!
When i activate premium yoast all visual composer option gone 🙁
Hi
You still need Visual Composer even if you’re using shortcodes to disply some specific elements on page. Visual Composer render the shortcode so without it you’ll have only the shortcode’s text displayed.
Thanks!
Hi,
Alla plugins are updated , this sulotion work when you dont have yoast seo premium plugin !!!
Its working with free version but premium version has conflicts with visual composer.
I sent email to yoast hope they solve this problem, its a big problem for us.
🙁
Hello Reza,
The latest version of WordPress (4.5) ‘broke’ the Visual Composer and you need to update this plugin to the latest version of this (4.11.2) and then the things will be work as expected. Please check this tutorial before updating this plugin, here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks.
Hi
The post masonry grid is an element built in from Visual Composer and the theme can’t control it. If you want to edit that button you’ll need to edit plugin’s files in order to make the required customizations.
Thanks!
Hi
Please make sure that you’re suing last theme version available on themeforest, V 2.3.6 and also update Visual Composer at V 4.11.2. Here you can check our documentation for more details abut the update process: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Also check the parameters from system status and make sure that they have the values indicated in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thanks!
Hi
Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again. Also make sure you have update the theme according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/
Let us know how it goes and if you still have this issue please provide more specific details about it.
Thanks!
Hi Catalin,
Thanks for the reply. I do understand how variable speed of website works.
But as I concern js_composer is come bundled with the installation files and for us to make “major” changes/modification to the script itself is just a tedious “another work” for us the theme purchaser.
Just my opinion you guys should handled the page render blocking problem and automated in the speed booster plugin itself rather than us manually tackled the issue by our-self.
