Can I ask how do I set the homepage view to show a curated articles in a grid thumbnail format?
I used to use “Big Grid 8” layout but now it does not show in my homepage anymore.
Please advise me on:
1) How to adjust and set homepage view
2) Where to select the various possible layouts.

Thank you for your extensive reply. About WP Discuz, it should be fairly easy to integrate as it works perfectly with the default templates that come with the theme.
I have one other question. I’m using the Font Awesome 4 Menus plugin as described in your manuals. It works great at the homepage and at the category pages, but one icon is (in this case cutlery for the food menu item) doesn’t work at a single post page:

How to show custom ad just for Homepage only

I get the following error at the top of category pages. If I disable the WP Open Graph plugin the error goes away. However, that then leaves the Facebook share button not working properly as it doesnt know what to “show” on Facebook.

Unfortunetly this is not CF issue but our server cache cant work with the plugin.
Is there any other way to change homepage template? We dont like how theme looks in default responsive template but we like desktop template.

I use Newspaper v9.0.1 for a regional newspaper, the template is wonderful and I am very happy to use it.
I have a problem with the new posts that are updated during the day and the homepage, both in the desktop version and the mobile version. If the user is a regular visitor and he wants to see the new post of today, the homepage shows yesterday’s post, the user has to refresh the page (F5) to see the new post, this is not normal.
In the mobile version the same issue happens.

Several users complain about this issue

From what I can see one of the biggest issues is with the images. Somewhere in the website there are scaled images served to website visitors, check where are the images mentioned in the report used

For example the first image mentioned there in the test results is used here

That slide loads somewhat big images which would not be needed for such a small slider

Try to optimize the images served by the website and reduce the page size (homepage has 6.3MB for example). Check some guides

I have an issue with mobile theme plugin. When activated it shows mobile layout also for desktop users.
It looks fine for admin when they are “logged in”. Logged users see correct desktop layout on desktop.
Is it a cache problem or something else? Plugin works somehow with caching?
I know that plugin is optional but we dont like default mobile layout for homepage .

Regarding the AMP for pages, I do have pages buit without pagebuilter like this one: https://www.jetss.com/home/ This page seems to work for AMP = https://www.jetss.com/home/amp however the problem is if I point this page to be my homepage it stops working the amp i.e. if I point https://www.jetss.com/home/ as the homepage of my site the AMP https://www.jetss.com/home/amp simply does not work.
Could you please explain my why and/or how to build my homepage for AMP?

Did you have tried to create your desired homepage using the Cloud Templates Library? Using this functionality, the theme allows you to use the TD Composer which gave you a lot of functionalities and elements which can be added to your template. If you don’t have a slide, simple drag a row and a slide in it.

Entering the post ID in the latest articles like you did (with a “-“) will result in that post not being displayed in that section

It will not affect other parts of the page, only the post loop. So the top part, the homepage post, will not be affected.
If you want to exclude the post from other sections of the page (block, grids etc) you will have to do the same thing in each of their settings.
