It seems all those menu items link to the homepage, instead of the category

Since we are on the homepage they are all current menu items, also clicking on those items will direct to the homepage.
This should not happen if the menu was created properly. Categories should be entered like this in the menu

Then it will be a category menu item, directing to the category page. Double check the menu items, remove them and re-add them as categories if needed.

well, apparently my optimization team has done the procedure like stated on the link you mentioned… (indicated with green color in the Newspaper system status) but i still cannot do something about it, the tagdiv composer for my homepage cannot be loaded…

My problem is that when I load the site the “Home” is highlighted. I understand why because the homepage is displayed but it doesn’t look “professional” on the home page. Anyway to remove this highlight only on the frontpage.

I had edited my homepage and add the social media counter using TD composer before (it worked well). but after that, i want to do some editings on my homepage, only to find the endless loading of TD composer… it wasn’t showing me anything like before, only the spinning load page which seems infinitive… can you help me about it?

Hi guys – we’ve got a weird one. We’ve adjusted our homepage recently and included a “popular right now” section that is supposed to be powered by Jetpack stats. However it doesn’t seem to return the right results all the time…
When I first changed the page it showed 5, and the setting in the composer view are correct – see: http://take.ms/B8yk5
On the homepage itself it seems to switch between showing 5 and 4 posts over time. Feels like something is a bit off.

Second thing: when it theme panel – > go to categories – > choose a specific category – set the sidebars – > no sidebar – > it overwrites single post sidebar rules as well. Is this is a bug or that’s how it should be. My goal is to have sidebars on single posts and no sidebars on specific categories.

Definitely last question I hope (thanks so much for all the support!): How do I get the category tabs on the thumbnails in the homepage Techniques block, not at the side with the article title? So they’re ON the picture like in all the other blocks? THANKS!
Thanks Catalin, that makes sense but is already what I am doing I believe. I changed the iframe to be the size I want and in the preview mode it works great. It adjust however I want it. But as soon as I make it live, the live page forces a giant full size video that takes up the entire column width of the homepage.
OK, think I’ve almost got to grips with how widgets work, will persevere.
One last question, if I might trouble you. I want to change the font for the TITLES of all the posts wherever they appear to sentence case instead of Uppercase. I’ve done it for the posts themselves but I can’t, for the life of me, work out how to change the titles where they appear on the homepage, in widgets etc. Thanks again for all your time.

Sidebars on pages can be set in two ways. First split the row like this for example

Next either drag elements directly in the resulting sidebar, or drag a widget sidebar element and select from your available widget sidebars

There should be no problem if you are trying in either way.

I wanted the homepage of my site (newspaper theme) to load as the user scrolls the screen. That is, it will display everything above the border, and as the user scrolls the screen, it displays the rest.

The video still expands to the full with of the column. Is there a way to shrink down the video size without shrinking the whole column?
I am using Newspaper as the theme for a multi-site. I’m getting notified that the theme has an update available (I still have 8.0), but the link to “Update Now” just redirects to the Envato homepage. What’s the process to update? I want to make sure I keep all my settings in the Theme Panel.
By mistake i deleted homepage and i want to undo the changes i made.

Was trying to find out how to limit the pages shown on the homepage. I have way too many articles and it generates about 11,000 pages so the traffic I get from bots is huge.

How can I limit, I only want to show the last let’s say 50 articles total, 10 per page, so 5 pages.
