WordPress did not recognise the zip as a plugin. I tried installing on 3 wordpress websites, same error – the zip is not a wordpress plugin.

Usually, the situation you mentioned appears when the theme is updated, but the theme plugins are only removed and are no longer installed. What I recommend is to check all tagDiv plugins you are using before the theme update. After the theme is updated, go to Newspaper > plugins and reinstall all those theme plugins.

That plugin should resolve the problem with the notice “_load_textdomain_just_in_time” please install the plugin and see if that error is still displaing https://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/td-cloud-library.zip
Maybe the file that you mentioned is an error log file.

Thanks for the helpfull insight. But I believe I have solved the proble regarding the database. It has someting to do with the theme but more so with wp Heartbeat API.
In figuring out witch rows that are left are the largest in WP I ran an SQL query:
SELECT meta_key, COUNT(*) AS number_of_rows
FROM wp_postmeta
GROUP BY meta_key
ORDER BY number_of_rows DESC;
This gave met the following list:

As you can see there are a lot post_views wich we don’t use. Can this be disabeled through the themepanel also? For now I delete all the rows starting with post_view
But two other elements are just as important _edit_last; and _edit_lock; Edit lock should only be used by wp for a short while preventing for several authors to work on the same post. Those rows should delete itself, but as you can see, there are over 47.000 rows of it. It seems that a wrong or non presint Heartbeat API was responsible for that. So I also delete _edit_last and _edit_lock
Th datbase witch was 3.1GB large with a postmeta of 2.6GB is now a 1.09GB database with 898MB postmeta.
Installed WP Rockect again with preload. Installed and enabled Redis Object cache and am testing the staging sites performance It all seems to work fine after several hours and is ligtning fast again.

I have the EWWW image optimizer installed. I have regenerated the thumbnails and the issue is still there. It’s not just in the post template page – it’s also on the home page of the mobile, the thumbnails are all over the place and look incorrectly sized.

Unfortunately, the mobile plugin has not been working properly since the beginning. After installing Directories Pro, I had to disable it completely. It seems there may be a misunderstanding here. Perhaps you’ve previously used a different theme that handled things a certain way, and now you’re expecting all themes to behave similarly. If that’s the case, Iām sorry to disappoint you.
As I mentioned before, when you install a demo, only the content and layout specific to that demo are included. For example, if you want to set up a shop, youāll need to configure it manually using tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Shop (please make sure the plugin is installed, as I mentioned earlier).
Once the necessary plugin is active, you can use tagDiv Composer to build your shop pages. There are also pre-designed templates available, which you can easily import from the Cloud Library:

To clarify again: when you add new functionality like a shop that wasn’t part of the originally installed demo, the layout for those new features wonāt exist by default. You’ll need to create or import the layout manually.

When you install a demo, only the pages, the templates and elements included in that specific demo will use its layout and design. If you create new pages or add additional features, such as a shop (using WooCommerce), forum pages, or other content, these will not automatically have a template applied, as they are considered custom additions.
However, there’s no need to worry! The theme allows you to fully customize templates to achieve the layout you want. You can do this using tagDiv Composer along with Cloud Templates.
For creating and customizing shop pages specifically, you’ll need to install the tagDiv Shop plugin. You can do this by going to Newspaper > Plugins in your WordPress dashboard. Once installed, youāll be able to create and edit shop templates using the theme builder.

I am creating the page in WordPress editor (and on the bottom you choose the Post template: (I assume that are how you would like the page to be setup (page layout))
And I assume you then should able able to edit it, independently without it then affect all other posts, including demos?
The strange thing are that all post was correct, I have been working on the site for about two weeks and all was ok, until suddenly every post was the same.
I assume if it was template affected, it would change all post in the same moment, not weeks later š
I want to leave the side as it is (if you want to look at it) – if not I will reinstall it, staring over again, uploading the posts from xml file – so I not lost much (I hope), still it would be interessting to know why it actually happened.

We recommend creating your own content, as the demo content provided with the theme will be removed if you install a different demo or uninstall the current one.
If you can provide some examples of the steps you took, we may be able to identify the cause of the problem.

Did you have auto-updates enabled for your plugins or theme? That could be one of the possible causes of the issue.
In this case, I recommend checking whether the theme plugins you were previously using are still installed and activated. If they are missing, you can reinstall them by going to Newspaper > Plugins in your dashboard.
Also, if the widget appears when you view the template using tagDiv Composer on a single post, it likely means the widget is still set under Appearance > Widgets. Please check there to confirm whether it’s assigned to the sidebar or has been moved to the “Inactive Widgets” section.

Iām using the Newspaper theme (latest version) and Iāve encountered a persistent issue:
The native td-icon icons are not displaying anywhere on the site. Instead of icons (like td-icon-facebook, td-icon-search, etc.), I only see empty squares or nothing at all.
Hereās what Iāve already tried:
ā tagDiv Standard Pack is installed and activated from Theme Panel ā Plugins.
ā Cache has been cleared (using WP Super Cache and hard refresh ā Ctrl+Shift+R).
ā No Font Awesome or external icon kits are interfering.
ā I checked the source code ā thereās no td-icon-font.css or similar icon font being loaded.
ā Developer Tools show that no font related to td-icon is being requested or loaded at all.
ā No errors in console related to icons or missing resources.
ā I also tested adding <i class=”td-icon-facebook”></i> directly in a widget and in post content ā still not visible.

I havenāt modified the theme files manually, and all required plugins from the tagDiv panel are activated.

We’re currently facing serious performance issues on our website, which uses the Newspaper theme and TagDiv modules. Over the past few weeks, we’ve noticed a significant slowdown specifically related to the loading of TagDiv components.
Our server infrastructure is robust (o2switch ā 48GB RAM, NVMe disks, high-performance CPUs), and everything runs smoothly with a clean WordPress installation. However, with the Newspaper setup, we’re seeing 5 to 7 seconds of loading time on both the frontend and the WordPress admin, which is not acceptableāespecially for SEO.
To give you more context:

ā¢ā ā Staging: https://new.devenirbilingue.com (fresh WP install + duplicated DB from prod)
We’ve already tried the following:
ā¢ā ā Installed Query Monitor: SQL queries are fast (< 0.5s), so it’s not a database bottleneck.
ā¢ā ā Tested with caching (W3 Total Cache and WP Super Cache): helps when cached, but uncached pages are still very slow.
ā¢ā ā Deactivated all plugins: no improvement.
ā¢ā ā Switched to the parent theme and even to default themes: the issue seems to lie deeper in the TagDiv components.
This performance degradation started around June 2025. Before that, everything was running smoothly under the same setup.
We’re happy to provide access to both environments if needed.
Would you be able to help us troubleshoot this issue?
