I had originally installed the entire Rimont site and it came with the header which was working great. However, I accidentally deleted and can’t get it back to how it works. All the ones I’ve tried installing doesn’t work with the transition. if none work, at least give me some information on how to recreate. ty

Hi, I installed the page template for The Rimont, and I accidentally deleted the header that installed with the template. My problem now is that re-installing the header template doesn’t give the bg transition option, and upon trying several other header templates, none seem to work. Is there a special way to accomplish this? Thanks in advance.

I need to have an easy way to create multiple authors for posts without them being required to login, create an account, etc. I see that you recommend Molongui Authorship plugin. However when I go to PLUGINS there is no option to ADD NEW. Please help. Also, is this the best plugin for this? I see that some have had trouble with it.

This topic is for a technical consultation on Newspaper theme.
We use the Newspaper theme from tagDiv on some of our websites, but we stayed at v8.7, the team who was in charge of maintaining these sites never updated it because of poor technical organization. Currently we want to upgrade the theme on all sites and move to the latest version 12.6.6
It is impossible to update it automatically because the theme management panel does not offer this option, so we followed the procedure described on the documentation to update it manually.
Unfortunately after installing and activating the theme, we noticed a behavior discrepancy on the site, in fact, the content of the site pages was no longer displayed correctly, and there were strange character strings which were embedded everywhere on the pages.
Is there a particular procedure that you can advise us to upgrade our version 8.7 to 12.6.6, or we have to do several upgrades going through the intermediate versions (9, 10, 11, then 12)? And if so, is there a repository where we can download these versions, because the merchant site only offers the latest version for download.

Upon a quick analysis, I noticed that you’re using an older version of the theme.
I recommend updating the theme to version 12.6.8 and checking for malware.
After you update the theme, you need to update the theme plugins too.
In the worst cases, the settings in the theme panel may be lost (there have been isolated cases), in these cases, after the theme plugins that were previously used are activated, you will have to use a backup for the theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
You could consider reinstalling the WordPress version, and checking for this plugin wp-zexit.php. It might be wise to inspect via FTP if it doesn’t appear in the WordPress -> Plugins. Additionally, using Wordfence to scan the website and remove unknown users would be prudent.
Change admin passwords and delete admin accounts you are not familiar with;
– Delete any weird/unknown plugins;
– Delete the weird/unknown themes;
– Clean unfamiliar Theme Panel injected code (example – https://i.imgur.com/4q70kCv.png);
– Clean WordPress files (example – https://i.imgur.com/stJCqiK.png)
Please block /wp-json/tdw/save_css
If an attacker wants to target this URL /wp-json/tdw/save_css they can do so. Even if the website uses a different theme, the attacker can still try that URL. We could add an option to be able to enable/disable the Live CSS, it will be considered. But for now in order to remove it this can only be done with a modification to the composer plugin. I think that all that removing it requires is to comment this line of code – https://prnt.sc/RtwvL5Nc4ikR -> https://prnt.sc/ymZmhdUfp57U But as I mentioned, the attacker can still try to access the URL.

Just installed the template Craft Ideas. It comes with some neat icons on the menu, but I can’t seem to find a list of icons with the code so I can change icons. I searched a little and it seems that the template uses icons from iconcrafts.com. They are all paid though and they require that in order to see the icon’s code.
Can anybody help me with this? Perhaps I missed the icons list somewhere?

i installed newspaper theme, and all requiered plugins, but when i go to theme panel i cant edit anything, also when i click on prebuilt templates, the option to uninstall the current templatte disappered, i tried deleting the theme and installing again, it works for few seconds, but then disappears completely again.

I appreciate that the current setup is just an example, designed with a specific workflow in mind, and understand now why it’s structured this way. I also see the importance of setting up custom post types, taxonomies, and custom fields independently to avoid losing them if I uninstall the prebuilt website.
I do have a few follow-up questions to help ensure I’m moving in the right direction with creating a custom solution:
1. Compatibility Logic: I realize I’ve asked this question twice on the forum, so please feel free to delete the duplicate post here. Since compatibility between components isn’t included by default, are there any specific plugins or approaches you would recommend to implement compatibility filtering? For example, if I wanted to set compatibility rules so that only compatible CPUs and motherboards can be selected together, is there a specific method or workflow within Newspaper Theme that would work best?
2. Form Selector for Category Pages: Is there a way to make the form selector lead to a dedicated category page for each component type—like CPU, Graphics, Storage—where users could apply specific filters for each component category? For instance, after selecting a component, it would take the user to that category page to refine their options and then bring them back to the form to choose the next component. Any guidance on setting up this kind of structured flow would be helpful.

Suppose you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer. For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page, you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.

This prebuilt website is just an example, and if you want a specific structure, you can create it as you wish with custom post types, taxonomies, and custom fields, as well as creating your own flow. In this prebuilt website, the workflow was chosen by the designer. Normally, it’s recommended to create your own custom post types, taxonomies, and custom fields because if you uninstall this prebuilt website, you will “lose” them. Therefore, it’s better to create them independently of the prebuilt website.
Also, the included components are just examples, and there is no established compatibility between them. You can also select a different option from here -> https://i.imgur.com/lgN999H.png. For what you want, I recommend creating these components from scratch, with your own taxonomy, custom post types, and fields.

If you want to update the theme, you should download the latest version of it from the Theme Forest account and download it.
I recommend that you update the theme manually https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ via FTP/cPanel/File Manager, also if possible disable extra plugins during the theme update to avoid any problems that may arise and make sure that you have activated the tagDiv Standard pack plugin to keep the website’s look. You can try to update the theme on a staging website.
