Hi,

@biggleem
In almost all cases plugin conflicts or theme modifications are causing the mobile theme to not function correctly.
If you tried deactivating all plugins as a test and the mobile theme is still not functioning correctly, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information. We will take a look. Also paste a link tot his topic in the email.

Thanks

Hi,

It would be possible, try a code like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/IUpj97UnzE

@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td-header-top-menu-full,
.td-header-sp-top-menu {
display:block!important;
}
.td-header-sp-top-widget {
width:auto;
}}

Enter it in Theme panel->Custom CSS section and it should make the top menu visible on mobile.

Thanks

Hi,

That would be an internal server error. Please try to deactivate all plugins except theme plugins and clear all caching installed. Then check if the mobile theme is working properly. If the error is still present then it could be server related, see this guide
http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-internal-server-error-in-wordpress/
Also check the theme system status and ask the hosting provider to make modifications if needed to the parameters
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/

Thanks

We are not having this issue with our sites running TagDiv themes, and we have 10+ sites in Google News. However, we turn off stuff we don’t absolutely need, and are not running the mobile theme options, and we’re not using pagebuilders for posts, and not running external ad networks other than AdSense at this time.

That likely doesn’t help — just some feedback 🙂

Also worth reminding to those visiting thread in future: check your Google News sitemap — if all the data is there, Google should be able to get that data. Any error will also show in your GN sitemap in your search console account when you “test sitemap” — after you fix stuff, resubmit sitemap for Google News.

Hello,

I am having some issues with the images displayed on the mobile version of my website http://www.coho.ro
They appear somehow pixelated, low quality. This happens also with google display adsense ads, the banners look distorted, I attached some screenshots.
Also, I noticed that sometimes some images look good and some not so good, this happens to ads also.

Screenshots:

What is the problem and how can I fix it? Thanks a lot, love your theme.

Hi,

A different menu would be possible if you use the mobile theme plugin
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The top bar is not displayed on mobile however, mobile theme active or not.

Thanks

Hello ayoub00113,

Most likely, you are using VC Composer or Td Composer to create your About Us page. Unfortunately, the mobile theme does not recognize any page builder shortcodes and does not exist any such an option that allows you to create your own homepage which displayed only for mobile. The mobile homepage has a default layout, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

@Doug
Thompson I see that the Jetpack mobile theme is active at the moment on the website. Please deactivate it in the plugin settings, as this will not interpret composer shortcodes
https://jetpack.com/support/mobile-theme/
If you require a mobile theme plugin there is one provided in the theme package
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
This is optional, it would be suited for the situations where you would like to display a different version of the desktop pages on mobile.
The same content from desktop will be shown on mobile, if the mobile plugin is not used.

Thanks

Hi,

A solution would be to use the Advanced Custom CSS sections in the theme panel. I believe you want the solution provided for the title is how you want it for desktop. For mobile you could use a code like this to reduce the title size
https://www.screencast.com/t/pBSM1NyPE
You could even center the title on mobile if you wish
https://www.screencast.com/t/O746D9ag2Rm
This is the code used in the example, enter it in the Advanced CSS->Phones section (remove the center align if not needed)

.td_module_14 .td-module-title {
font-size: 24px;
line-height: 28px;
text-align: center;
}

There are also excerpt settings for all modules but those will affect both desktop and mobile situation

Hi,

That would be possible with a code like this, it will make the category tags of your chosen color on the homepage
https://www.screencast.com/t/38bwoqJYwC0u

.home .td-post-category {
background-color: red;
}

Enter it in Theme panel->Mobile theme->Custom CSS code.

Thanks

Hi,

That is unusual, the background should be white for the mobile theme. Please enter this code in Theme panel->Mobile theme->Custom CSS section

body {
background-color: white;
}

Let us know if there still is a problem.

Thanks

I really love this theme and your brilliant support.

The site is about.ebooks.com, running Newspaper version 7.4.

In recent days I found that the main menu will only display links to pages and custom links, but it won’t list categories. This also applies to the top menu.

Actually, the menus display perfectly when I’m logged in as an admin user. But for people viewing the site normally, the category menu item just won’t show. This is true on desktop and mobile.

I have deleted menus and re-created them. I’ve also increased the memory allocation (per the little orange warnings on your Newspaper System Status page) to no avail.

Is there a known solution to this?

Thanks,

Stephen

Hello everyone!
I have a recipe page (www.lasrecetasdeangy.com) and I have the mobile theme plugin activated and the theme in version 8.5.1 and everything works fine except search from both mobile and PC. If you try to find any of the recipes that I have in the blog, if you select any of the options that shows you there is no problem but if you click on the keyboard intro on PC or search on the mobile, redirect to a blank page and an error 414, could someone tell me why?

Thanks !!

Hello Tagdiv,

Almost 80% of my blog visits are from Mobile device. I’m planning to optimize the site for mobile. Which is the best option? Whether using the mobile plugin or Google AMP. Is this theme compatible with AMP? will AMP work when the mobile plugin is active?

Thanks.

Hi,

The website seems to not function correctly, shortcodes are displayed instead of the page elements
https://www.screencast.com/t/5GHKf4VTgfvS
I would suggest deactivating all plugins except theme plugins (make sure the tagDiv composer is active).
Then check if the website is working and displaying properly. If you would like a mobile version of the website, you could use the mobile theme plugin included in the theme package
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
This will present a lighter alternative to the desktop version. However it is not required, the main theme is fully responsive and will provide good results on mobile by itself.

Thanks

Can you provide me the css to make the background color of the mobile theme white? It seems to be currently set by default at grey and my bylines do not show up well. Thank you!

Hello Ladiesabroad,

I have inspected your source page and I saw that you have some custom CSS code which overwrites the default theme settings as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/lWHPRSYBGYEs If you want to achieve good results for mobile devices, you should adjust the font-size and line-height using the media querries.

Thanks for the message!
