Hello VoZz,
Please notice that our new mobile theme has not been designed to use the Social Counter, sorry! The mobile theme was intent to display a very simple version of the page having a basic structure just to be very fast than the responsive mobile. At the moment, you can add only text and images. It is possible in the future update to implement new improvements through this mobile version but we cannot say for sure when will it be. Until then, if you want that your social counter to be displayed in mobile mode, you will simply disable the mobile plugin and the theme will be switched to the responsive mobile.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
Please update your theme to the latest version of the theme (7.1) and test the copyright again. You can follow this guide to update : https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
I tested the copyright link on mobile and desktop and it works as expected.
Thank you!
Hi,
If you want to reduce the space for mobile, you can use this css:
@media(max-width:767px){
.td_block_big_grid_1, .td_block_big_grid_2, .td_block_big_grid_3, .td_block_big_grid_4, .td_block_big_grid_5, .td_block_big_grid_6, .td_block_big_grid_7, .td_block_big_grid_8, .td_block_big_grid_9, .td_block_big_grid_10, .td_block_big_grid_11, .td_block_big_grid_12{
padding-bottom: 10px!important;
}}
As for the the second request, our theme doe snot have any options on the front-end for user profiles. You can try out a plugin like buddypress
Thank you!
Salut,
Hello surfa,
I have checked your website and I saw that you search icon are not working for your mobile version. Also, I have checked and your console and I have notice that you have some js errors, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/6AwBvVwYd2 Please notice that these errors come from your untested plugins which you are using for your side. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Please keep in mind that our theme is very complex and we do not recommend using untested plugins because these could make some interferences with the theme code and might cause a lot of unknown issues, like this.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes after you will follow this advice.
Thanks for your understanding!
hello,
Thanks for your support..i disable all plugins one by one and i note down but search and menu bar is still not working…but they are working in new mobile theme..
I found out what the error is. Your tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin couses the error. If i disable it then the composer will work.
Hi, sorry for my bad English.
I don’t like just a thing about newspaper. Is it the menu on mobile:
If I’m reading a post, and I open the menu, the page go up at the begin.
Is there a way to fix this? I would like to remain in the same position when menu, or search bar, is opened.
Thanks in advance, you’re doing a greate work. (98/94 in gtmetrix without mobile theme, check yourself)
Hey guys,
Is there a way to get the social counter on the page in the mobile theme? Can I use code for this in the mobile editor?
Hey guys,
I’m having some trouble with the theme on mobiles. Im using the most recent version of the theme but not the mobile theme and post style 8 for posts. http://ow.ly/SZCQ300vALJ
On mobiles, with Chrome and Safari I have no problems, but with Firefox and the native browser of Huawei I do.
When I scroll up and down fast in a post, weird stuff starts to happen. The background keeps coming forward and the content dissapears for a while. Also the menu and search button react really slow, its not doable. The whole page in general loads very sow with these browsers.
I have disabled all plugins and cleared the cache, but I keep having the same problem. Do you have any idea on how to fix this?
i think you can create a plugin like wp booster for the mobile theme too. Now we can use the plugin at ver 6.0 but just desktop. I want to just do for mobile theme too at ver 7.0
Thanks!
Hello Tagdiv Team,
I am using Newspaper theme and I added footer > “FOOTER COPYRIGHT TEXT” with
a href=”http://www.externaldomain.com”> Domain‘ in this message)
It works perfectly on Desktop, but when i opened it on Mobile the external a href is not working properly and the externaldomain.com link looks like http://www.mydomain.com/%22http://www.externaldomain.com/%22
Hope you’ll resolve this.
Thanks
Hi
Lucin replied you via mail regarding the issue with facebook.
2. I’ve noticed that you have the mobile theme active so you have to place the ad code in mobile ad-spots in order to be displayed on mobile devices.
3 I’ve checked your site with google page-speed toll and noticed that you have some render-blocking resources which can be moved in footer by using Speed Booster plugin. Also you can optimize the images using gzip compression as it’ indicated in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
4. Please make sure that you’re using last plugin’s version included in theme’s path, V 4.0 clear the cache memory then test again. We will also update the plugin on our demo in shortest time.
Wp Super cache it’s tested and works fine with the theme following the configuration indicated in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Thanks!
Hi,
If you use the mobile theme, then your pages will not load. There is a second editor in the back-end on pages and you have to create a mobile version of your pages in that editor. You can read more about the mobile theme here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thank you!
For information i have no modified or do something on the page of php, just make some css, that i removed now.
I just have update newspaper to version 7. I had install the plugin tagdiv mobile theme and activate it, but not being what I expected I deactivate it.
Hi,
In this case, it;s exactly as I described above. The mobile theme does not use visual composer so the shortcodes will not work on the mobile theme. You can either remove them from the desktop as well or not use the mobile theme and disable the plugin. This way you will have the old responsive version for mobile. (the new menu will still be present)
If you want to place an ad above the next prev section, you can edit the post template files and use a do_shortcode function (this will also not work in the mobile theme) like so: http://screencast.com/t/7hnVgai7s
You have to do this for every post template that you use.
Thank you!
I do the RTL myself, and it worked fine for 6 month now until your change at 7.x with the mobile menu.
I have tried to go back and upload the older theme version but wordpress 4.5.2 refused to worked (error 500), so i am stack in the middle with no solution.
Need any solution to this situation. Going back is an option for the theme, not for wordpress.
Hi
The mobile theme is tested and works fine. I am not sure why this happens on your site but you can try to deactivate all plugin except Visual Composer, clear the cache again then enable mobile theme and check if the problem is still there.
Let us know how it goes and if the problem persist please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials and we will inspect this issue as soon as possible, also include a link to this topic.
Thinks!
Hello!
I have recently updated to Newspaper 7.1. I do not like how the mobile theme works so I am intending to keep on using the usual responsive design from Newspaper 6. I have noticed one issue though. The search feature does not work on mobile anymore. http://surfa.se/
Previously the search field appeared when you clicked the search icon but now the page zooms out and the search field never appear. Am I doing something wrong?
Sincerely Joel
Hello snaxzer,
Please notice that this is our new feature for Newspaper 7 and yet this is the behaviour of this type of feature. The mobile theme has been designed to have a basic structure, very clean and faster than responsive version. In the future, we will consider developing this plugin, but we cannot say for sure which will be these and when will be launched because we have a big list of fixes, improvements and suggestions to implement. It’s hard to filter them and select which one gets implemented now and which one gets postponed. The developers decide if it gets done or not, though.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello Voice,
Unfortunately, we do not have an accurate response in this regard, because the page speed it depends on each website. Please notice that our theme comes with a big improvement for the mobile theme which is very basic, clear and faster that the old version of responsive mobile, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/W3fKAZ38Blu For more information about mobile theme, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ Also, if you want to know which are improvements in Newspaper 7, you will have to consult our changelog from this link -> http://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609 (scroll down on the bottom of the page).
Thanks for your understanding!

Hello fliporium,
As you can see, please notice that this is the default state for out mobile theme and it does not recognize the Visual Composer shortcode. Our new mobile theme has been designed to have very basic structure, clear and faster than the normal mobile responsive which support the Visual Composer. For more information about our new feature, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
For your second request, unfortunately, I do not exactly understand what you mean. Please provide more details about this regard, so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
Do you have the mobile theme installed? If yes, then scroll down a bit to see the second editor. The mobile theme uses a second editor that does not use visual composer.
Let us know if this is the case. If not, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can login and inspect your back-end
Thanks.
Shortcodes are working on desktop. But Mobile version of the theme shows the code and because of that I can’t use shortcodes in desktop also.
Also, is there any other way I can place ads above the Next-Previous button in both Mobile and Desktop.
