Hi Bettina. I am really trying to not get frustrated, but it’s like you’re not even reading what I’m writing. Did you see my screenshots above? Did you see how I showed our AMP plugin settings and that we’re using the /amp/ setting for the AMP plugin? Are you all even looking at the information and screenshots that I took a TON of time to document? Or are you all just throwing out generic responses without even trying to understand the information I’m providing?
I know EXACTLY how AMP works. We’ve implemented AMP on dozens of WordPress websites and at least 15 tagDiv Newspaper sites. But this is the first time we’ve implemented AMP on a site that also uses cloud templates … and it’s NOT working the way we expect.
And you do NOT need to come from Google in order to see an AMP page. Other content aggregators such as SmartNews and NewsBreak also use AMP versions of pages. And you can navigate directly to an AMP page without having to go through Google. Here’s an AMP page on our current, old site (not a tagDiv Newspaper site):
https://hvmag.com/food/baked-by-melissa/amp/
You can see the AMP page just fine even if not coming from Google … and you can see that you don’t need to have ?amp at the end of the URL. We have the AMP plugin set up currently to use /amp/ which is just fine.
Here’s another AMP page, but on a tagDiv Newspaper site that does NOT use cloud templates:
https://biztimes.com/nine-block-450-million-redevelopment-planned-in-downtown-kenosha/?amp
You can see the AMP page just fine even if not coming from Google. This particular site does use ?amp as the setting in the AMP plugin. And it’s showing the tagDiv mobile them just fine … because the site does NOT use cloud templates.
Please … before you all respond again … take the time to actually watch the video in my first post. Then fully read my next post and look carefully at the screenshots that I included in that second post.
Thank you.
P.S. I would be willing to pay a good amount to have a Zoom meeting with you all to try to work this out. 🙂
Hello @platamun47 !
Edit the article with the TagDiv Composer, and check if in the TagDiv Composer exist these spaces.(the mobile viewport, and tablet viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/YUVUcyrgh)
Thank you!
Hello!
The AMP version of your website is only delivered to users who have accessed your website through a Google search result. Otherwise, the regular version of your website will be delivered to visitors, just like in your case. My suggestion is to use Mobile theme + AMP. That way, all visitors coming from mobile browsers will have access to the mobile version of your website. In order to verify an AMP page, you need to be sure that you are accessing one which have at the end of the URL “?amp”.
Thank you!
Hello @platamun47 !
Unfortunately, no. The scrollbar is different from browser to browser.
In order to increase that space, try it like this: https://prnt.sc/XHKRqJm_H-DP
If you set from the CSS code “display:none;” to the scrollbar, then the mobile horizontal menu won’t work.
Thank you!
Dear Bettina,
I think that you are not understand me!
Which element you mean?
How to do it?
The big white space after facebook and piterest links in post is only on mobile page/device.
Thank you for help!
I know! But
Is it possible set same color like background color of mobile menu
and on this way scrollbar will be hide 🙂
Second question
How to increase space between links and scrollbar?
Scrollbar now is so near with links in mob. horiz. menu 🙁
Thanks
You’re not reading what I wrote and it’s a bit frustrating.
We ARE using the AMP plugin and the TagDiv Mobile Theme plugin. And we have the mobile theme set to only show on AMP. Did you not see the screenshots I posted above?
The problem is that the mobile theme is NOT showing on AMP pages. Instead, AMP pages are showing the cloud templates for the normal site.
Please take the time to read what I have posted and look at the screenshots.
Hi Bettina,
You may not understand what I mean. I want to add a logo in the middle of the header on the mobile side, can you show me the steps to do it?
https://prnt.sc/5QTQiexcAV4B
Thanks.
Hi,
Our tusc.org.uk website shows “Sign in” at the top of the mobile menu and I’d like to remove it, but can’t see how.
It doesn’t show on socialistparty.org.uk. It is not part of the menu.
Neither site used the mobile plugin, so the instructions I found at https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ can’t apply.
Screen shot at https://www.tusc.org.uk/images/Sign-in-on-TUSC-website%2011-5-23.jpg
Many thanks!
Hello @amritlawin !
Please check the format in the TagDiv Composer and from there you can control the “white space”. If you click here: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB , you can verify also the mobile viewport, and tablet viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/YUVUcyrgh
Thank you!
Hello @platamun47 !
Unfortunately, you can not hide it. On the mobile phone, it will appear only when the scroll is working.
Thank you!
Hello!
The AMP only works better with the Mobile Theme plugin.
From my point of view, if you don’t use the Mobile Theme plugin, then there is no reason or benefit to AMP. Please note that if a page is made by Composer, than the content won’t be displayed on Mobile theme version. You should create the content with the Mobile Editor.
Thank you!
Hello Ken!
If you look on a mobile phone or if you refresh the mobile page, you can see that this is looking like this: https://prnt.sc/q861cuoF8e8d
Now, if you want to customize your pages, you should add a blank page. Unfortunately, you cannot assign the page template to the other page. They are individually, not as per the usual template. The header and the footer should be set as global. In the Cloud Templates, you have a large view of your templates. Also, you can save some rows or elements and easily add them to your page templates or any other templates. You should set the header and footer globally on every template manually.

Hello @russellk !
The AMP only works better with the Mobile Theme plugin.
From my point of view, if you don’t use the Mobile Theme plugin, then there is no reason or benefit to AMP.
We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use the mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to disable the Mobile Theme plugin.
Thank you!
Hello @hasan-2 !
My colleague already mentioned above: https://prnt.sc/McpOr6CkBr1o
Also, you can uninstall the mobile theme plugin and use other types of mobile version:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page. Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
Thank you!
Hi,
The home page of my Website https://bchainmeta.com/ has White Space and Formaing Issues. Please help to solve the problems. For Your Understanding, I have attached screenshots for your reference. Dear Support,
How to hide scroll bar in Mobile horizontal menu?
Is it possible to set same color of scrollbar like
background color of horizontal menu bar?
Scroll bar into mobile horizontal menu
Thank you in advance.
Hi Calin. Not sure if you watched my video or not. I am very familiar with the mobile theme plugin and options with AMP. I have used it on dozens of TagDiv Newspaper sites just fine. We only ever use the mobile theme for AMP … and we only ever use it for posts.
The problem is that posts that use cloud templates seem to ignore all the AMP settings (header, post template, footer). We don’t want that. We want the AMP version of posts to only show the usual mobile theme as configured for AMP.
In the AMP plugin, we have the following settings:
https://snipboard.io/I7N5Tm.jpg
https://snipboard.io/hFtCXc.jpg
https://snipboard.io/591vgk.jpg
Here is how we have the mobile theme / AMP configured in the Newspaper theme panel …
https://snipboard.io/dzHUZT.jpg
And here are the Newspaper mobile theme header settings …
https://snipboard.io/vsxzNl.jpg
Here’s what a post looks like on mobile using cloud templates (not AMP) …
https://snipboard.io/8EhYnw.jpg
And here’s that same post with AMP …
https://snipboard.io/4MjoNQ.jpg
Notice how the header is NOT the AMP header from the mobile theme? And the body isn’t from the mobile theme either … it’s from the mobile responsive post cloud template.
You can see that we’ve implemented AMP posts just fine before. Here is an example from another TagDiv Newspaper site … but it does NOT use cloud templates.
Normal mobile responsive post …
https://snipboard.io/56YDyw.jpg
And here’s the AMP version of the same post …
https://snipboard.io/ut1ATm.jpg
So again, the challenge seems to be implementing the mobile theme for AMP only and on posts only … but on a site that uses cloud templates for it’s normal pages.
What are we doing wrong? Or is this even possible? Thanks again!
Hi,
How to add header logo in mobile, I can’t place it in the middle of the header when I add row.
Please check: https://prnt.sc/L4729U8BXvvI

Thanks.
Hello,
We’re having difficulty viewing our store on mobile. There seems to be two separate issues.
1. The store was not visible using a custom template. It was only viewable using the default template. Not a big deal for now, but we’d like to fix this.
2. The biggest issue is that the cart will not display. It only shows the title, “Cart – mobile”. The header and footer display properly.
When we try to troubleshoot AMP using paired browsing, the error, “The navigated URL is not available for paired browsing.” is displayed from the shop link, even though it will display on mobile.
Thank you for your help!
Hello @jackb149!
In the cloud templates, you can add the ads when you edit the post with TagDiv Composer in the element called ” Single Post Content ” in the tab ADS. Documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/article-ads/
Or you can use the element called “Ad box” from TagDiv Composer, and there you need to add the ads: https://forum.tagdiv.com/ads-adsense-overview/
In order to customize the ads on mobile, this will depend on the mobile version that you use. You can choose from three different options:
In your example, the last column is the column from the right(desktop). But, we have an option to re-order the columns: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-re-order-the-post-page-on-mobile/
Thank you!
Hello,
Usually, this happens with cache plugins. If the cache plugin does not have mobile support then the mobile theme version can be delivered instead.
The solution would be to use the recommended WP Super Cache plugin instead and activate these settings (especially the mobile device support): https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hi there,
I’d like to add a display ad to the top of my articles/posts by default but not sure how.
When viewing on desktop I can see there’s one on the right, so that is fine:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/105acg20Vfc5dY-AgTf39sg3vXCZfWcNY/view?usp=sharing
But when I view articles/posts from mobile there isn’t one at the top, only the bottom:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/19lpBsootVXUUSihFG6mY8kjFVSRYpivL/view?usp=sharing
If someone could advise me on how to achieve this so it’s applied by default and I don’t have to add it manually to each article I write that would be amazing! I think a wide rectangle one (as seen in the first image, header) would be better than a big square one (as seen in the video when I scroll to the bottom).
Thanks in advance!
Ι own the above informative website which was created with my limited technical knowledge. I would like to know if my website has functional problems, if they are mobile friendly, and if I can use an application to send my posts to all social media with one button.
Furthermore I would like you to consider the following problem.
I did a test with a news post, which I shared in a single Facebook group. I made the exact same post after a while on a friendly site (trikalain.gr).
The difference in readership was significant. On trikalain.gr, the news was read by (341+24)=365 readers, while on trikalatroll.gr, at the exact same time, the exact same news, in the same group, only (49+8)=57 read it.
I don’t know what could be wrong, and I would like your opinion whether the second part of my site name (troll) is affecting the transmission of the posts to the engines (e.g., Facebook).
Also how do I deal with the fact that .facebook.com has a high ga:avgSessionDuration (1–30 Apr 2023 93.85% of your website traffic comes from the referral channel.)?
Hello, the grids on the homepage and categories are appearing one below the other. Clearing the cache fixes it, but after 1 or 2 hours, they automatically go back to being displayed one below the other. This issue occurs in both mobile and web views. I would appreciate your assistance. Have a great day.
