I am experimenting again with cloud templates but struck a disaster in minutes. I downloaded Blank Template, inserted Single Post Content element. For a moment it looked ok in WP Editor.

Now I just see a line of letters down the centre of the WP Editor, using Visual editor. When in Code editor, looks normal. When previewed title and post content look normal. Reason?

No such problem with standard post templates – only with cloud template.

When I’m trying to open any category page then the 500 error is showing and the page is not opening. It is happening for all categories. I’m using the gadgets pro template in the newspaper theme. When I’m disabling the tagDiv cloud plugin then the site layout gets bad but the category page displays.

But as you know tagDiv cloud template plugin is important for the theme templates. Please look into this issue and share the solution at the earliest. I’m attaching a screenshot also

Hi all,

I’m looking for ideas on listing back catalogue of magazine issues. We are using the newspaper theme. Our development site is not live.

We’ve imported our back catalogue of article posts into our wordpress database, in over 1000 issues, into Newspaper. (29,000 articles). They are tagged “issue xxxx” (from 140 to 1141). They display wonderfully.

Going forward, future issues are no problem at all. We’ll create a nice looking page for each weekly issue set of posts, so that it can carry specials, highlights, etc. Flexblocks filtered by category and tag. Very neat, easy to copy forward, just change the tag slug, content flows in, nice work guys! And we can add that page ID to a backissues page flexblock filter and that will be easy.

I can’t manually do this for the back catalogue though.

We can display each issue via the tag template page, although it would be prettier for us if the template did not put “Tag” in the title before the tag name. I guess this will need a child php file or something.

But I can’t find a good way to create a back issue catalogue with a link to each of these tag templates for each issue.

I’d ideally like a flexblock type display, or something, to display each tag, organised by the latest issue, with pagination. But the links must be to the tag listing, not to an article within the tag.

Is this possible?

Using posts: I could create a post for each issue with a listing on it, which I have in html for each issue already and could import to wp_posts. I could then do a single flexblock filtered by postID, with a comma separated list of posts. I’d limit the list to 50 issues per year and create a page for each year, so I’m assuming a flexblock can take a list of 50 post IDs.

But that would not be as pretty as linking to the newspaper theme tag template.

“Categories/tag list” block: at a pinch that would do, but it is much less decorative than the original at https://www.socialistparty.org.uk/issueindex/index. It doesn’t know the title of each issue, date, etc. Would need to add custom fields somehow I guess – using a plugin – wonder if that would work? And would prefer to carry a pic wit each issue…

Any thoughts welcome on the best route. Sure I am missing something obvious.

Hi guys.
I’m restyling my website using Newspaper.
I set up a category page using a template. For each category I set a description using the wordpress feature (category description) and teh content is dinamically pulled inside the template.
Bullets lists are using a different size and I cannot figure out out to fix it.
Can anyone help me? If i remove the bullet list, the size returns to its initial size (consistent with the post)

I would like a guideline: how do I leave my default post page – with a Spotify (embed) player and Apple Podcast (embed) player. When I click on “post” the page appears to me with these players without me having to go to html all the time to put the codes? Below is a model that I’m always putting the codes in the html editor.

In social icons instagram and Twitter’s codes don’t work. For example i put code of twitter, save and then don´t work, it appear in other page, no Twitter. I put url with “htpps”, only “@”, without “@” or “htpps”, but don´t work

Besides when i want enable other social network for post, for example, email, telegram, linkedin, don’t work. The template only allow whastapp, facebook, twitter and printrest.

Other problem. I put adsense and newsletter code, save and then disappear. Why? This problem appear when i edit with edit composer.

I duplicated all the data of the site, and I made an export/import of the database.

Hi,
the “Page Template Settings” option does not work
The option appears in the Screen Options but I click it and when I refresh the page it is unclicked again. Please, it is urgent because I have to modify a sidebar and I have no way to do it.
