When you say to add something to a functions file, where exactly does it get added?
For example: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
How and exactly where would I add this? I am not good with PHP so I don’t understand the tags. Also, somewhere I saw something about taking Contact Form 7 off every page by adding code – where was that? What would that look like here?
add_filter( ‘jpeg_quality’, create_function(”, ‘return 50;’ ) );
Here is the end of my functions.php
<div class="td-skin-scroll"><i class="td-icon-read-down"></i></div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="clearfix"></div>
<div class="td-set-hide-show"></div>
<div class="td-screen-demo" data-width-preview="380"></div>
<div class="td-screen-demo-extend"></div>
</div>
<?php
}
}
Hi guys, It’s me again. I was wondering to know if there is a possibility to change the menu just for the homepage. I just want to create a menu without “the previews”. Let me explain with examples:
I want to create and modified the menu with the menu editor on WordPress and then use it as the menu just for the homepage. In this menu I just wanna include links for categories, like this:
The rest of the blog, it would be using the regular menu. The menu I choosed from the Newsmag Theme Panel. That one where I’m going to activate the meta menus:
Is this possible?, how?
Oh nou, that’s quite complex. What I’m looking more simple. I just want to create a menu without “the previews”. Let me explain in different way with examples.

I know is going to need a little of coding but not too much I guess.

Hi guys, It’s me again. I was wondering to know if there is a possibility to change the menu just for the homepage. Is because I don’t want to use the dynamic menu (you know, the nice preview thing) on the homepage because I used those categories right on the elements of the pagebuilder. Would you like to help me?
Hello MortimerJazz,
Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option for what you want, sorry! Please notice that all the settings about this feature you will find here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/reviews-2/ If you want to add or create other options in this case, please notice that you will have to add it through coding. If you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello denny,
Please notice that if you import the demo with content, only the pictures from there are available for customers. Perhaps, you are referring to the images which are displayed to our demo preview, right? Please notice that all of these images are not available for our customers because we have copyright for all of these and it could be used only from our in this case and we cannot distribute because we are not aware doing this. Also, if you want to access this photo you can try the next link -> http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/lenovo.jpg
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello rodrigocarlos,
I have checked some URLs from your website and I saw that some are posted on Facebook and others do not, as an example this one -> http://proddigital.com.br/play/esportes-fitness/q48/como-reduzir-6-cm-de-barriga-em-apenas-40-dias/
Please notice that our theme does not have any influence for your posts when these will should display on Facebook. The theme only takes the link for your posts and puts it on Facebook….For more information about this process, please consult our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/facebook-share/
Another thing that could cause this type of issue should be your untested plugins or your additional customizations if you have something like that. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Also, if your problem will still persist, you can try to make a new clean install from scratch and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme.
Please notice that our theme is fully tested with Facebook and as you can see in our demo preview, the Sharing on Facebook work as propelry -> http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/15-grooming-techniques-every-man-needs-to-know/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi there,
I’ve been playing around with the review/rating functionality of the Newspaper theme.
I get how I can create a page of content and set scores for a certain set of metrics. However, is there some way for me to pull together all of my review scores together and display them in a table (preferably with a link to the review page)?
Is that something the theme can do or something that I would need to build manually?
Thanks very much,
Hello,
I recently installed NEWSPAPER and I am having problem to display any imagery. I can see them in WP Appearance/Customize preview only.
Do you have any idea what can cause it?
Thank you
Zuzana
a) note the tagdiv business hours, top right of forum.
b) Might just be your home page layout,
this page shows as mobile friendly
http://top10reviewz.in/prize-money-gifts-p-v-sindhu/
However you need to pay attention to the errors presented:
* This page uses 2 resources which are blocked by robots.txt.
* A temporary error occurred. 2 resources on this page could not be loaded. The results and screenshot may be incorrect. You may want to try again later.
https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/…mMhp4i.css
https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/…dQgHfSn.js
c) generally to make your site ‘mobile friendly’ you need to ALSO optimized your server for speed and proper server setup, compression, time to live, etc., optimize images, etc.
For example, I tested your page here:
https://gtmetrix.com/reports/top10reviewz.in/2UlrZtmY
Page Load Time
15.9s
Total Page Size
4.05MB
Requests
212
————-
For optimum page, you should serve less than 50 requests, page size should be under 1MB, 2MB for a photo site perhaps with a lot of uncompressed images, and page load should be as close to 1 second as possible, and not more than 4 seconds.
You have a lot of work to do to optimize your website.
Good luck!
I have a website top10reviewz.in and in Google it shows.. ‘site is not mobile friendly’ it has newspaper theme.. Please help
Hi TagDivians…
just a heads up that a missing break-word option on the main post body element which was in v2 still in v3; essentially a long URL, such as a link to a book publisher site (in a book review) or similar will “break out” of the post body, when on an iPad in portrait view (where I spend a lot of time personally).
I have changed/modified as so, which solves the issue; but even a basic word-wrap: break-word; would be better than nothing.
Note in my case I’ve also been changing the default font from Verdana to the new WP 4.6 type font stack, which is quite nice on my devices.
body,
p {
font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, "Segoe UI", Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, "Helvetica Neue", sans-serif;
font-size: 14px;
line-height: 21px;
color: #222222;
overflow-wrap: break-word;
word-wrap: break-word;
-ms-word-break: break-all;
word-break: break-word;
-ms-hyphens: auto;
-moz-hyphens: auto;
-webkit-hyphens: auto;
hyphens: auto;
}
I’d recommend adding this with next theme update. 🙂
When I access my website http://www.reviewfood.net – It works fine on desktop
But
It is NOT rendering Home page content (created using Visual Composer) on mobile devices. Header and footer areas are displayed in mobile. Even Related posts/articles at the end of page content is displayed too.
I tested it on http://ready.mobi/ and here’s the screenshot :

Hi Andrei, it’s fixed!
I’ve changed the td_templates_settings.php file like you showed and now it’s working again for Contibutors. So for now I’m happy 🙂
Since it used to work for Contributors in v2.x (I’m pretty sure of that) I want to ask you to make it work that way in future updates of the theme too. Not just for me, but because I think that’s the most logical situation: We have many Contributors that write articles and reviews but we don’t want them to publish them because someone else is in charge of that. But, as the link to Roles & Capabilities states, Contributors have full rights to write articles. So seems most logical to me that this also allowed them to write reviews and that requires access to the Review section of the Post Settings too, don’t you agree?
Thanks in advance!

Good morning,
as we are running the mobile theme and checking the functions regulary we have found two issues.
1. The Name of the Author above the posts ist not shown correctly (iPhone 6)
2. Sometimes the page doesn’t load the mobile theme, instead it is loading the the mobile version. Especially after reopening the page on safari (iPhone 6) this is the case.
Could you please review the site? Are there any preferred setting for the wp super cache? As there are in the advanced section several functions and settings for mobile…
We are running 7.3 and updated all plugins to the latest version.
Best,
Armin
Menu dropdown and Search is NOT working BUT it is working fine in preview mode.
When I access my website (http://www.reviewfood.net) from various browsers or devices, following things are NOT working :
* I don’t see Main menu drop down working at all. I don’t see an option to drill-down the main menu items. Hovering over it has no action and it is NOT showing menu items.
* Clicking on search icon on top right (near main menu area) does nothing i.e. I don’t see search box on clicking search icon/button
But, the mentioned issues are NOT seen in preview mode i.e. When I click on Appearance -> Customize (Preview mode) – It works as expected and I am able to see the main menu drop down working as expected. Also clicking on search icon shows a search box, searching for a text lists search results as expected.
Hi folks
I disabled the comment count setting NM 3.1 under “post panel” setting, but still seeing the comment bubble counter on indexes (e.g., using “M10” for “book reviews”).
Other than editing the templates is there toggle for that.
One might presume if that is off on the actual posts it would be off on the indexes.
So, settings are:
* comments on as we enable that per story
* comment count off on posts
* no option for on/off on templates (e.g., all on or all off for comment bubble/counter)
Don’t want to just ‘hide’ that as it still does query, so likely editing “M10” template best way?
Thanks 🙂
We recently upgraded to Newsmag 3.1 and appearently some of our writers can’t create a Review type of post. The panel with Post Settings is missing on the Posts page.
Also, it cannot be activated from the Screen Options panel, since ‘Post Settings’ isn’t shown there.
Any idea how to fix this?
Note: We also use the plugins User Role Editor and Menu Editor Pro but as far as I can see they don’t control or limit the Screen Options panel for Posts.
Perfect, tanks …
I have another fix!
This site appears different colors on the theme when it is loaded …
How do I get this second color that appears and disappears when loading the site?

Hi,
I’m not sure how exactly you are getting the faulty results. I have tested the exact values you mentioned on my end and here are the results: http://screencast.com/t/6GsWzxRr
Please try it on a different post or make sure the values you mention are the ones introduced in the reviews as we cannot replicate this on our end. Alternatively you could try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn file to rule out a plugin conflict.
Thank you!
hello folks,
I have been using “reviews” on posts whenever i publish article on my blog, but i have a slight problem. When i check the google results i see that next to start rating it says: “reviewed by *****”. The thing is that i don’t want to show author name on google search results. So can somebody help me to delete this option or change this name with another one.
PS. looking forward to hearing from you
Hi, in a review (1 to 10 points) if I use decimal points the final average is wrong.
This is the example
6,5
7
6
Average: 6,3
The correct result should be 6,5.
There is a way to fix it?
Hi Tagdiv team,
I have enabled the mobile theme for my site: tellyreviews.com but strangely I couldn’t get a mobile-enabled presentation (layout) and ‘only when’ I choose manually ‘Request desktop site’ on Chrome browser, I do get the mobile-enabled layout and even AdSense Ads gets to display.
I have already read few supporting pages about fixing this issue, at this end the mobile theme was always de-activated at the jetpack settings page from the onset. I request the support team and/or users to guide me in resolving the issue.
Also providing you the screenshots right here of the mobile theme issue presented above. Screenshots of Mobile theme display Issue
Kind Regards,
