Hi
We didn’t tested any plugin with a similar functionality so unfortunately I can’t make any recommendation in this regard. You could look on the forums to see which of the plugins with such a feature have the best reviews then give them a try if you want and use the one which suits you best.
Thanks!
Hi Alin, thanks for your reply.
Yes, I appreciate that this preview bar is not a direct result of the Newspaper6 theme. However, I think you might still be able to help us.
I think we have somehow changed one of the theme settings, and this is what is injecting the Myfonts code into the page.
If you view the source of http://79.170.40.247/wellbeingofwomen.org.uk/ and search for ‘myfonts’ you will find this section:
<!-- JS generated by theme -->
...
<script type="text/javascript">
(function() {
var path = '//easy.myfonts.net/v2/js?sid=250385(font-family=Geometria+Bold)&sid=250387(font-family=Geometria+ExtraLight)&sid=250395(font-family=Geometria+Medium)&sid=250397(font-family=Geometria)&key=Kiee4jHq8u',
protocol = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https:' : 'http:'),
trial = document.createElement('script');
trial.type = 'text/javascript';
trial.async = true;
trial.src = protocol + path;
var head = document.getElementsByTagName("head")[0];
head.appendChild(trial);
})();
</script>
<!-- Header style compiled by theme -->
If I search a mysql dump of our database, I can also find this data:
INSERT INTO wowwp_options VALUES (
...
(607,'td_011','a:271:{s:15:\"tds_logo_upload\";s:94:\"http://79.170.40.247/wellbeingofwomen.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/WoW_horizontal-500.png\";s:13:
...
var path = \\\'//easy.myfonts.net/v2/js?sid=250385(font-family=Geometria+Bold)&sid=250387(font-family=Geometria+ExtraLight)&sid=250395(font-family=Geometria+Medium)&sid=250397(font-family=Geometria)&key=Kiee4jHq8u\\\'
So it appears that the source of the myfonts code within the “JS generated by theme” is one of the entries in the wp_options table.
I suspect the way it got there was via this panel in Theme Panel > Theme Fonts > Custom Fonts:
http://i64.tinypic.com/28tb6gx.jpg
We originally had the myfonts code pasted in here. We’ve tried to overwrite it with a simple empty script tag, but this doesn’t seem to have worked.
Can you help us to fix this?
Hi,
If I remember well I have replied also on dashboard regarding this, unfortunately this code cause issues to the theme so please review your code, make sure it is correct and contact the person who provided and as him about this as it affect the theme’s menu and search buttons on mobile and I cannot provide a solution for it.
Thanks!
Hi,
The bar is added from your code and have a specific css and it doesn’t come from Newspaper theme – http://screencast.com/t/zeyGaE61s it is like an advertisement for myfonts. You can do a clean theme install on a subdomain and see that the theme doesn’t have such of preview bar. I suggest to contact the font’s author and ask about this.
Thanks!

Hi, the problem occurs for different users on different devices using various browsers. Some users show the characters, some show the correct social icons.
When I point our main domain IP address to the host where this site lives, the boxes appear instead of the social media icons.
So it’s a problem occurring for various users. If you can commit to a specific time to review with me, I can point the IP address at the domain so you can investigate the problem.
Thank you.
Hello midronepro,
Unfortunately, this feature has not been designed with this functionality. The reviews feature could be controlled only by the author’s and not by the users, sorry. If you want to have this functionality, mentioned by you above, please try to find some plugins with this functionality and test it on your side and see how it works for you or you can hire someone to implement this for you because we cannot provide custom services at the moment, sorry!
Please take a look to over this list of plugins and try to test some visitor rating plugins and check how it working better for you.
Thank you for the message!
Hi,
Please make sure you allow reviews from individual product settings – http://screencast.com/t/yik38yuVTz please read the official documentation as the theme comes with woocommerce support but we don’t offer support for the plugin.
Thanks!

We’ve been using preview fonts from myfonts.com in our Newspaper6 site, currently visible at http://79.170.40.247/wellbeingofwomen.org.uk/
We now have a myfonts.com preview bar at the top of the site that we can’t seem to remove.
We have now purchased the fonts we need, but we’re not sure what to do next.
The blue bar seems to appear due to these lines of code in our head tag:
<script src="http://easy.myfonts.net/v2/js?sid=250385(font-family=Geometria+Bold)&sid=250387(font-family=Geometria+ExtraLight)&sid=250395(font-family=Geometria+Medium)&sid=250397(font-family=Geometria)&key=Kiee4jHq8u" async="" type="text/javascript"></script>

However, we’re not adding this code ourselves. It’s not visible in View Source, so it seems to be added dynamically by the Newspaper6 theme.
We’re not entirely of the steps we took to get to this stage, but we’re guessing it was via the Custom Fonts page in the Theme Panel – either in the ‘Custom font files’ section, or the ‘Typekit.com Fonts’ section.
In the ‘Typekit.com Fonts’ section, we did enter some custom javascript that we got from myfonts.com (not sure if this would even work). We have since replaced that with an empty script tag, but the preview bar remains at the top of the site.
How can we remove this preview bar?
Yes, ratings are intended for writing reviews, where the person writing review gives the thing being reviewed a ratiing, like movie/book, etc. — works just like in the theme demo on ThemeForest.
To let people “rate” the story or the movie/book, you’d need a “visitor rating” plugin.
Hi!
How can I activate the products reviews?
I checked the only option that I found: http://www.screencast.com/users/jorgegarcia24/folders/Default/media/cbc89db9-1272-4317-8004-e58e6d09bcf1
But it doesnt work!
Thanks
I have an issue with post rating.
In each post I selected reviews, then stars then 5.
How a user can rate my post?
I tired clicking on stars but no effect. Do I have to use a rating plugin?
Thanks for helping me.
Hi Catalin,
thanks for your code, it works perfect for the responsiveness. But on mobile, I see pretty strange symbols in the article preview. See here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/iyjhhaypksewxjz/Strange%20Font.png?dl=0
Do you know a solution for this as well? Link to the article: http://starzip.de/louis-tomlinson-baby
Thanks, Loano

Hi, when I select post reviews Stars, when a user click on the stars to qualify the post , it’s not working.
Anyone can help please.

Hi, I’m sure this is really simple to do but I have searched and cannot find out how.
I want to set a featured image so that it appears in the post preview on the Homepage, however I don’t want it to actually appear at the top of my post/article.
The only way around it I have found is when creating a page you a article format, Standard or Video. If you set video the featured image doesn’t appear at the top of the article, however a play symbol unfortunately appears on the post preview image on the homepage.
How do stop a featured image appearing in the post article?
Thanks
Hi Admin,

Hello calisangels,
I have checked your website and your console and saw that you have some js.errors, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/ednRzRnEu0XJ This kind of errors could come from plugins in conflict. Please try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the interference between untested plugins and our theme. As you can see, we have a list of tested plugins with that the theme works perfectly -> http://screencast.com/t/0kBXe1my
Also, you can try to see the theme behavior using our demo preview on mobile and notice that issue does not come from the theme but only from the conflicting plugins. ->http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/#
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the message!
Hello Isriya Paireepairit,
I have checked your website for miscellaneous devices and the slider seems to work as expected.
-> http://screencast.com/t/vLwYyjAHrhK
Please try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. It is necessary to do this because some untested plugins that you are using can cause some interference between them and our theme and can produce these errors on some devices. Also, please try this feature from our demo preview -> http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-slide/ and see that are works fine and this kind of issue does not come from the theme.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the message!
Hi,
we are creating our new city portal with your amazing Nespaper theme.
We want to use Delightful Downloads plugin (https://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/delightful-downloads) for document management.
When creating new downloadable document, there are two unnecessary windows that we want to hide:
– Custom Post Type – layout settings
– Revolution Slider Options
But we want to show them in post editor. What have to do for hide them using Delightful Downloads plugin?
We use child theme, so we could write something into child themes functions.php if necessary.
Thanks,
Tibor
Hi Andrei.
I emailed a username and a password for review.
Thanks
This is managed as part of WooCommerce, typically, not the theme.
So often to customize WooCommerce you either need to use a plugin, or use a “filter hook” which you put in the functions file to over-ride the default behavior of WooCommerce.
For all things WooCommerce, you should review the official docs on the Woo website… eg..
https://docs.woothemes.com/document/change-add-to-cart-button-text/
To really manage Woo customizations you will need to at some point add custom code to the functions.php file for theme –or– use a plugin that hacks this for you.
Hello there, i wanted to show on a block the most popular posts among the posts of last 7 days.
Let me be more clear: Not posts-of-any-time that gain the most popularity the last 7 days.
I wanted posts-of-last-7-days that gain the most popularity.
So i implemented the “Popular among posts of last 7 days” sorting method. It took me 5 years in isolation, a team of nuclear physicists and billions of dollars to do it. And i give it now for free. How kind!
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS: ***YOU*** NEED TO KNOW PHP PROGRAMMING TO DO THIS. LINE NUMBERS OF CODE PROVIDED BELOW ARE NOT EXACT, THEY ARE JUST TO GIVE YOU A HINT WHERE TO LOOK AT, BECAUSE I DON’T KNOW WHAT VERSION ARE THESE FILES SO LINE NUMBERS MAY BE DIFFERENT AMONG DIFFERENT VERSIONS. SO DONT BLINDLY COPY PASTE THIS STUFF ON THAT LINES.
ONE MORE TIME WARNING: be carefull, you are messing with php code here, if anything goes wrong, i have nothing to do with it, this comes with no warranty at all do it at your own risk and its NOT OFFICIALLY SUPPORTED I DONT WORK FOR TAGDIV.
So:
ADD this case in the switch of Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_data_source.php its somewhere near (not exactly) 140-something line
Add:
case 'popular_of_latest':
$wp_query_args['meta_key'] = td_page_views::$post_view_counter_key;
$wp_query_args['orderby'] = 'meta_value_num';
$wp_query_args['order'] = 'DESC';
$wp_query_args['date_query'] = array(
'column' => 'post_date_gmt',
'after' => '1 week ago'
);
break;
ok now we need to add an array element in Newspaper/includes/td_config.php
find this block of code near line 4020-something and change this
array(
"param_name" => "sort",
"type" => "dropdown",
"value" => array (
'- Latest -' => '',
'Random posts Today' => 'random_today' ,
'Random posts from last 7 Day' => 'random_7_day' ,
'Alphabetical A -> Z' => 'alphabetical_order',
'Popular (all time)' => 'popular',
'Popular (jetpack + stats module requiered) Does not work with other settings/pagination' => 'jetpack_popular_2',
'Popular (last 7 days) - theme counter (enable from panel)' => 'popular7',
'Featured' => 'featured',
'Highest rated (reviews)' => 'review_high',
'Random Posts' => 'random_posts',
'Most Commented' => 'comment_count'
),
to this
array(
"param_name" => "sort",
"type" => "dropdown",
"value" => array (
'- Latest -' => '',
'Random posts Today' => 'random_today' ,
'Random posts from last 7 Day' => 'random_7_day' ,
'Alphabetical A -> Z' => 'alphabetical_order',
'Popular (all time)' => 'popular',
'Popular (jetpack + stats module requiered) Does not work with other settings/pagination' => 'jetpack_popular_2',
'Popular (last 7 days) - theme counter (enable from panel)' => 'popular7',
'Featured' => 'featured',
'Highest rated (reviews)' => 'review_high',
'Random Posts' => 'random_posts',
'Most Commented' => 'comment_count',
'Popular among posts of last 7 days' => 'popular_of_latest'
),
as you can see the only “change” was the addition of that last element, and adding a comma at the end of the previous element.
now this sorting option should be available on your blocks here and there

The kind good people at tagdiv may wanna add this at a future release as i find this useful and its just a quick commit.
p.s. the db query produced is fine performance-wise.
Hello,
I’ve tried to update theme from 4.6.3 to 6.6 on one of my sites, and (due to my stupidity, most probably) run into a set of problems:
– new theme doesn’t appear to be activated;
– there’s no “import settings” link anywhere on the panel.
The reason for that is most probably because I’ve tried to live preview it first and played around with settings, so status panel for the new theme shows “theme db version” as 6.6.
I’ve rolled back to the old theme without any trouble, but I still would like to move to the 6.6. What should I do?
Thanks in advance!
I tried updating the theme, plugins, wordpress and everything I can think of and I still can’t get the playlist to look right.
What other options do I have to fix this?
Here is an example of how it looks like
