You might fully disable and clear *all* caching which needs to be done with any major theme change/update — 8x is totally new, so if you end up loading old CSS via cache on server and/or browser, stuff will not work right.
Also worth
a) resave permalinks
b) clear all transients with WP-Optimize
c) force clear all cache in browser (e.g., Chrome)

Did try the plugin always the first thing I do.
However, even if the video will not work on the front page it did work on a new page.
Have not tested in post will update when i try that
Github is a social network for programmers.
My website has the focus of programming.
An entry option for social networks would be very helpful.
Could this be added in the next update? That would be nice!

If you update via FTP, you don’t need to redo license over and over except perhaps for a big jump from something like v6 to v8

Unfortunately the child theme cannot override certain files from the theme, at the moment. You will have to take note of the modifications and make them again after updating the theme. However in the theme package you can see a Patch folder containing only the updated files, which you can replace in the main theme. This is useful in some extent if you have made modification to some files and would like to keep them if possible

Hi,
This last theme update is a major step and reflects the direction the theme will follow. The new tagDiv composer is more optimized and lighter in most ways then the Visual composer editor. Future theme updates will include more features and options for the new editor. We know the transition will not be easy for all cases, that is why we tried our best to make it as smooth as possible.
You can keep using the Visual composer and deactivate the tagDiv composer, but you should take this into consideration.

This is your choice but please keep in mind that in the future, we recommend doing this switching between Visual Composer to TD Composer because in the future updates we will release new features exclusively on our own page builder which works only on this our composer. Also, we do not recommend simultaneously used these page builders, either one or the other.

Yes you can deactivate the tagDiv composer and keep using the Visual composer. There is no rush to make the transition to the new front-end editor. However as it is specified in this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/ future updates will feature more options and settings exclusively for the tagDiv composer.

But if we define the widget on main theme level, we can override the definition when we update the main theme. Do you have any idea how we can prevent the overriding for both the widget and custom styles definitions?

Hello, I’m using WP-Fastest-Cache as my cache plugin for many causes. But with the last update and replacement of composer plugin, I noticed something wrong. When the cache is on, images in blocks are not visible to vister. I sent an e-mail to author of cache plugin but I also wanted to inform you too.
ok so updated the theme, reinstalled the plugin, re-entered social credentials; now the counter is all white / invisible & count for instagram is zero

Maybe it is a caching issue if the count is not updating. Try clearing any caching installed. The host could have a cache also, you could check if that is the case.

But what we have to do with posts created with VC?
If we are using tagdiv composer we are getting wider posts, and also the demos are not working properly. This made me loose trust on tag div in future updates…

I have wasted much time in installing the theme by all the ways but nothing worked properly.
Only way is to uninstall/deactivate tagdiv composer and enable only VC
Wanted to wait until I was off for the weekend to update in case of any issues. I just finished updating and the only problem I encountered was the weather widget disappeared but was no problem dragging it back and set the settings again.

Please note that is no rush to switch to the new composer. You just have to create a new page in the new front-end composer (recreate the same design or something different if you want) and then set this page as homepage. Like it is specified more elements will be added in future updates, just for the tagDiv composer. You should not use Visual composer and TagDiv composer at the same time, or edit pages created in Visual composer with the new editor.
You do not need to use the AMP plugin, the mobile theme is a mobile plugin that can be used by itself. More information here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

I am not understanding how you are releasing such big updates without any proper testing. I lost trust with tagdiv team after this blunder. All my posts are appearing wider if i use the tagdiv composer. Totally messed up all the posts. check my website http://www.stufeed.com and visit any post you can understand whats my problem. Also if I network activate the mobile plugin its throwing error in mobile.

Unfortunately, at the moment, our page builder does not have any such an option for this, sorry! Notice that this feature is a continuous development and it is possible that in the future update to find a solution in this regard but we cannot say for sure, sorry!

I have updated to v8 and I have the same problem. Why suddenly Visual composer is the bad guy? And is it just me, or tagDiv composer plugin activates itself if I deactivate it? It says it’s required, but for what, page editing? What if I want to stick with plain editing?

The page being a duplicate, you can take your time with it as you will simply create a new page and not change anything on your front-end until the page is ready to be set as a homepage.

In the Newspaper update tutorial it’s said “Do not keep older copies of the theme inside wordpress themes folder” , i also do the same by going cPanel file manager – removing the newspaper theme folder – then uploading the newer one (since via WordPress installation alerts “same theme already exist” if i try to update without deleting the existing theme (even deleting the theme from WP sometimes causes error, well that’s not the case) . . . I don’t like to use any external plugins (Envato Toolkit) just for theme update .
Problem i’m facing each time I’m deleting the existing theme folder & updating the newer theme , it requires “ACTIVATE THEME” again & again . . So I need to put purchase code on every newer update installation .
I’m afraid by this way for using multiple times purchase code/account/anything may get suspended .
So, just clarify me will anything (mentioned above) gets suspended/blocked if I use my above update method ? I’m having 2 wordpress sites where I use newspaper theme personally .
I have a problem I believe many others have also. I am using your updated newspaper 8. I know it uses TagDiv. In your documentation, I seemed to read that I will also need Visual Composer. I went to purchase Visual Composer. I install it, but does not give me the opportunity to activate it. So first question, do I need visual composer to take full advantage of the TagDiv Composer? If yes, why is it not working?
Second problem is, when I tried to create a new page using TagDiv Composer, it’s not allowing me to move and drop elements.
Is there any thing I need to do first?
In summary, with the new Newspaper 8, I am unable to move and drop elements to create my new home page. And also my new visual composer is not allowing me to activate it.
