super your update on newspaper every time I have a lot of bug! But the last is fabulous I have nothing more background color more article and instead I see the tagdivcomposer code obliged to completely erase the site!

Sure. All of your content is still there. The theme does not affect posts. If you are using plugins just make sure to not get in conflict with our theme. De-activate all plugins, install the theme, install and update theme plugins and then you can activate the others one by one to make sure that your install is properly made. Yes, but I must say I am not pleased with the fact that the child theme was causing the issue. We were told that using a child theme would make updates easier. In that case (9.7.2 => 9.7.3), it was the opposite…

Yoast has been updated to version 11.4, but this problem has not been resolved.

This code removes all JSON-LD Schema on my site:
add_filter( 'wpseo_json_ld_output', '__return_false' );

I just want to delete one Schema Article just to appear only one. How, Catalin?

@maik-b Those options were removed in the latest update, the ad box as a widget can now only be used with the predefined ad spots – http://prntscr.com/o0v2km So it will not have the same options as when using the composer – http://prntscr.com/o0v2zl
I can’t say if the ad box widget will receive the same options or not. You could use a text widget to display the ad, that should work. Sorry for the inconvenience.

That issue was added to our list of improvements and it will fix it in near future updates! Unfortunately, we cannot say for sure a certain period for that, sorry! Please check our changelog section because there, all fixes in the theme will be passed.

Hi,

This is is not working anymore because you make update to WordPress to the last version, you need to downgrade the WordPress version.

Also you can make update to the theme, but notice that will be a big differance from Newspaper v6.6.5 to Newspaper v9.7.3, I suggest you to make a full backup to your website and try the update on localhost or on subdomain.

Hi,

If you use a child theme, try making a small modification in it, in the functions file
– http://prntscr.com/nwzyeb
The child theme included in the 9.7.3 package contains this modification.

I should note that there is however another issue that is caused by having a child theme active at the moment. Post templates are not applying properly when set to posts. As soon as this is fixed and tested on our end, a new theme update will be released. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Is it possible to change the headings of the articles in the home? Always use h3 and the ideal would be to use h2 in all … as elpais.com does

Would it be possible to add this feature in future updates? It would be nice to have more control over this because it’s very important to SEO level.

Hi,

Most of the theme files were moved into the tagdiv composer plugin as per the requirements of envato: https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000472383-WordPress-Theme-Requirements.
We wrote an article on the subject here: https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
Moving forward with such requirements, a child theme will only work with functions.php, and style.css as there are very few files left in the main theme as envato requires all functionality to be added through plugins.

It is mandatory to delete all what was left from the older version before installing this update. Overwriting the files would cause a lot of problems and maybe you’ve missed something while deleting the old files. Have you checked the theme plugins to be deleted too ? If you are certain that you have installed the updates correctly by deleting all of the older versions and made a clean install from scratch, please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.

The other two messages I don’t quite know what they are. Maybe they added by a plugin there, they don’t look like wordpress default discussion checkboxes.

Hi,

If you want to add something like this, you will need to edit the header template according to your template used by you. With the last theme update, the theme comes with some changes over the root of the files and probably that’s why you have not found the right files anymore. Child theme - reply

Hi,

Since Newspaper v9.7 the child theme is working only for the functions.php and style.css files.

Unfortunately I do not know what will happen with child theme in the coming update, for the moment there are no news about what will happen.

Wpbakery block elements are not visible in Newspaper - topic

Hi, I update my theme to the last version avaible. I have 2 errors on my site.
The first one is that all block elements from wpbakery are not visible while tagDiv Composer plugin is activated, when I deactivate tagDiv Composer plugin, Wpbakery block elements are visible again.

The second one, its that, tagDiv Composer never loads, just a infinite spining wheel, and console logs bunch of errors that are listed below.

So my site its currently down. No other plugins are installed except for those required by the theme and wpbakery, again, when I deactivate tagDiv composer Wpbakery works fine, when I activate 

tagDiv composer plugin wpbakery fails to load  block elements. </strong>

I updated the theme and installed mobile plugin, with AMP WP plugin, following instructions. Problem is: I cannot see the amp settings link on admin side menu. Any help on this?

Good Morning
Once again, I have to update and modify my site, at all times, the functionalities change place.
Now my whole site is updated and works correctly on the PC, but on the cell phone the menu does NOT work.

I ask for help and I ask you to do a job correctly. Because it constantly updates? Can not you do a more stable job?

If I have to update again, I will request the refund of 100% of the money from the 3 licenses acquired. His subject was good, now they are just problems, problems and more problems.
I’m tired of adjusting and having to modify.
Add a THEME CHILD please.

The plugins DO NOT WORK:
1) tagDiv Speed Booster
2) tagDiv Mobile Theme

I send the problems as an attachment.

I AM HARD TO UPDATE AND HAVE PROBLEMS. PLEASE DO A GOOD JOB AND PROVIDE ME WITH A SOLUTION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

I want to be sure I understand the situation:

– tagDIV has acknowledged that the last updated broke functionality of the General Modal option
– there is no current fix for this (disabling General Modal is NOT a fix)
– activating the modal option on a per image basis (within each post) is not a real option for sites with thousands of images
– there is no timeline for correcting the issue or any indication that you’re working to resolve the issue

Do you maybe use a child theme? If you do, try making a small modification in it, in the functions file

The child theme included in the 9.7.3 package contains this modification.

I should note that there are however some issues that are caused by having a child theme active at the moment. Like for example post templates not applying properly when set to posts. As soon as they are fixed, a new theme update will be released. Sorry for the inconvenience.
