They do not have access according to the rules mentioned here
– https://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities and that the theme is using.
Only authors have access to the post templates, not contributors or users. The contributor can create a post and submit it for review, while a subscriber can only read posts, according to the documentation. You could change this rule, for these roles by modifying this file in the theme – https://www.screencast.com/t/4vU4KLQJjevV that allows this access only to author roles or above in the hierarchy. Change it based on the capabilities of contributors or subscribers

This will make the post templates and the fields you want available to these roles.

For example Header styles 9,10 and 11 do not have a limit for the logo

I got 2 problems with this theme.
1) When I add a sidebar, i got this weird message :
Warning: require_once(includes/wp_booster/sidebar.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/fashi307/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/sidebar.php on line 7
Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘includes/wp_booster/sidebar.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php56/pear’) in /home/fashi307/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/sidebar.php on line 7
And all the pictures on the post goes down.
2) I changed the url of my website from https://www.fashioniseverywhere.com to https://fashioniseverywhere.com
when I do that, and go to the Theme options, I got this message on my console :
XMLHttpRequest cannot load https://fashioniseverywhere.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?td_theme_name=Newspaper&v=7.8.1. No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource. Origin ‘https://www.fashioniseverywhere.com’ is therefore not allowed access.
I don’t get what it says, but it seems i can’t change my options without fixing it.
When I change a setting, the loading icon stay and doesn’t go.

I am attempting to use the WP filter “the_title” to add content to the title on single posts. However, I am having trouble selecting just the post loop.
Without any conditionals, the_title is selecting all the items on the page, including the menu items and the posts inside the mega menu.
Using the conditional “in_the_loop” should select just the single post, but it doesn’t.
Here is the code I am using:
if (in_the_loop()) :
$title = $meta_value . $title;
endif;
return $title;
This doesn’t affect anything on the page, including the single post.
I have also tried is_main_query, but that selects everything, including the menu items and the posts inside the mega menu.
Please advise.
I am trying to match my post title/subtitle/date with my post-content — I currently have all of my post content at a customized width.
For non-mobile:

I’m a theme/plugin developer myself. I do lots of WordPress jobs for my customers. I understand child theme concept very well. No problems there, I assure you.
What I’m suggesting is, “you”, as tagDiv, could you please add filters to your internal functions? I’ll try to explain with an example.
There are 14 different (13 + default) single post styles in Newspaper theme. All of them have this line for author box;
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_author_box();?>
This is great, so if I want to change author box, I can copy td_module_single_base.php from /includes/wp_booster/ to my child theme with the same folder structure and do necessary modifications. And voila, all of the author boxes are updated. But (there is a huge but here) now I have to inspect every changelog that if td_module_single_base.php file changed or not during version bumps. And I had to copy a whole file despite I want to change only one function.
Here comes my solution; Filters
If tagDiv could apply filters just before returning that cuddly $buffy, developers can add a hook to that filter and without copying whole td_module_single_base.php file, they can change the output of get_author_box() function.

this is where I think the issue lies. Openweathermap API does not use SSL. (And I don’t think they intent to unless you pay $180/m)

I just need to know will I lose changes when theme is upgraded. For example, if I edit files td_block.php, td_block_1.php, td_block_3.php, style.css what will happen with those files when upgrading theme to new version?
Is it possible to change those files and save it somewhere in wordpress/theme folders where they will override any further update of those files. Something like that is possible in joomla, I don’t know for wordpress.

Thank you for your response. I tested with MAMP and you are correct. The settings stay when I do a theme update so my issue would lie within either the WP install on my live server or a corrupt database as you said. Thank you! I will contact my hosting company for support.

If this is what you want you can use this code and experiment with different height values, for other post title lengths to achieve the look you want. Or adapt it for other blocks and modules if you want.

Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such an option that allows you to add a logo with text, but only the text as the logo, sorry! If you want to have some text below or above your logo, you can edit your logo image in Photoshop for example and add there what text you want to have and then load the logo in theme.

Currently I am using Block 4 and Block 5 mainly. I noticed that not all the blocks designed have the “Read More” button which directs to the respective posts when clicked. Is there a way I can implement the read more button in specific blocks (Block 4 and Block 5)?

Hi, Just updated to Newsmag 3.4 and found that all my posts with Style 6 Post Template has a messed up featured image (the one on the top), as in the image does not cover the whole width anymore

Since last update the styles.css file has become too big.
For example I am not using bbpress or instagram or even woocommerce – why would I want those styles to be loaded? Also I am not even using all blocks and module – it would be nice to have the styles.css dynamic somehow.
If for example I am not using instagram, why would that css show – why not take it out?
Is this even possible?
P.S. I know you will point out that the template is scoring great, true. But when I am not using even half of it’s features – and it would be even faster than it is – who wouldn’t want that?

I’d like to make all my category pages an infinite loading series of Grid Full 1 top posts, sorted by most recent post at the top, then 2nd most recent post 2nd, 3rd most recent post 3rd, etc.
That’s the example of just one post. I’d like to separate each post by around 10px of empty padding between them. So it’d be like this:

I have the trending now widget in my right rail on all posts. An example is here. http://saucemonsters.com/college-dude-dumped-spotify/ The settings are definitely correct in that it should be showing the most popular in the last 7 days. However, some of the posts appearing are a month old. But in the same widget on the same page it shows new content from this week leading me to believe it is not a caching issue. I’m a bit stuck in my website development, based on the Newspaper theme->Travel Demo https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_travel/ .
My idea is to develop a travel blog (+travel agency) with inspirational posts which would have a kind of “Add to my wishlist” or “I want this” after each post.
The final idea is that, after the user has been browsing & getting inspired with some posts (and clicking on some “add to wishlist” buttons), he/she could go to a Form Submission page to send the wishlist+Name+email to the administrator of the page in order to “get an offer” for this kind of trip based on the post he/she liked.
I’ve been trying some combinations (without luck):
1.Woocommerce+YITH Catalog Mode+ YITH Wishlist
2.Ajax wishlist wit “GD MY Wish List” + Contact Form 7
I’m looking for a simple solution. Woocommerce solution is far too complicated for what I want.
The 2nd choice I’ve tried nearly works, but I’m not able to “attach the wishlist” in the form submission, even with the “Contact Form 7 – Dynamic Text Extension” plugin.
Any ideas?
