i have seen in theme sample pages , on clicking the image , the same image opens in a nice frame and on clicking the next button on the frame the post in the background scrolls up or down automatically. how to do that ?
9. Except the Featured Image , i can neither see the caption nor the description of any image appearing below it. It does appear for the images added in the Image gallery on opening them at the top of the image , BUT DOESN’T SEEM TO APPEAR WITH SINGLE IMAGES , pleas tell me how to fix this as the images are need to be given sources which i m entering the caption block.

Just recently purchased the theme. Tried to import the “Classic Blog” stack. Unfortunately it is not functioning properly.
The main issue is that images are not imported, only in the raw post text the embedded images work, but the actual “featured image” wordpress manages, don’t function properly.
This leads to formatting issues.
Please take a look at these images to know what I mean: Imgur Link
As you can see, with the “title in featured image” layout, the layout breaks completely if no such image is available. That’s not a huge issue – I’d prefer for the images to be imported properly so I can show it to my client, but I can work around it.
Another issue is that, as you can see in the image, the horizontal space occupied by the header is more than that of the actual content / side bar area. For example, the magnifier icon is not in line with the right border of the side bar box.
On the left, the (purely red) header logo is not in line with the beginning of the content box (which is actually a bad example, because on the screenshot, the post’s content text is set up to have some padding; but still an issue).
The featured image issue is not a big deal, but it would be really nice if you could help me with fixing the horizontal width of the header. It can’t be such a big issue, because with (almost?) the same CSS on the demo installation on your server it works fine…

Theme cannot break image location or remove items from your media lists/folder.
You should regenerate thumbnails to fit news sizes used in theme.
If you check your media/uploads folder via FTP, you might be able to check on the permissions for that folder. If you accidentally deleted that, it would not be recoverable; hopefully you backed up your site prior to making major changes.
An example image link, like so – does appear missing:
http://dance.land/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/nathan-barnatts-curious-dances.jpg
However installing the theme does not delete your /uploads/ folder unless you did that manually. If you deleted the /uploads/ folder, or the /wp-content/ folder for some reason, then that would have deleted the images folder.
Ideally you should double check with your hosting provider in case they have some bizarre setting which impacts that folder in some way.

I just found out that the quick view of a content shows about 25 words which make 3~4 lines.
That’s no problem with most languages. But, Japanese has no space between words.
For example, in English
“Hello, my name is John Doe.” (word count : 6)
in Japanese,
“こんにちは。私の名前はジョンです。” (word count : 1)
So, my Japanese post ended up showing more than 20 lines on the home page.
How can I change the word count into character count? or any other alternatives?
Hey all, I just need some help with two things I came across on my live site using the theme:
- 1. For the Categories, I want Big Grid to show but for categories that doesn’t have sub-categories I see it lists out all the categories again (for example see here: Fashion Category which makes things a bit redundant. How do I remove that second listing from showing on category pages that doesn’t have a sub-category? (Here’s an example of a category with sub-categories: Hair Care with sub-categories
- 2. For the Smart Lists (the one with the text then image), is there a way to get a footer text to show up underneath all the slides? For example, in this post: Smart List Example the ending text found in the last slide (#4 I think it is), I want that to be shown across ALL the slides/numbers. How do I accomplish that?

With theme v 1.31 and WordPress 4.1, all plugins off except Visual Composer, and mod_pagspeed off, we’re seeing a problem with an example review page, here:

Well, if you set an image to load full size in a space that is smaller than the full size it will break the layout as in your example. When you place the image manually into the post, you should choose the smaller size created by the theme/WP to fit that width, which I think is 640×000. Or, if using featured images, simply choose the image as featured image with the layout where featured image is used as main image.

Hey guys! So I just created a test-wordpress domain so I can work on what’s best for my actual site with this theme. So far in testing images, I’m getting conflicts. I created a large image, the same size as one of the demo images at 1024×576 and when I uploaded it and inserted it into the post, and set it to be fullwidth, the image butts up right against the sidebar and looks super weird: post with multi-images issue
However, in the same post later down I used the same image again and set it to default and it looks fine, also a note to add: the default included demo images from the import, I set one in the same post to be fullwidth and it works with NO issues, so my question is, what’s wrong with my image? Is there a way to properly insert images via upload if we want to set them to sit fullwidth still in a post layout with a sidebar?

Hey guys, I like that this theme comes with a review template, so convenient. I’m wondering, if there are plans to add other features, like a pros/cons area or photos?
I have this plugin already: Reviewer Plugin but I see on the page it says it can be integrated into themes, maybe you guys could consider that, it’s a great plugin and works really nicely and gives loads of options for those of us who write frequent reviews. Here’s an example using that plugin on my site: Hubalou Review and also Mane Choice Review (both reviews are near bottom of post) and as you can see, it’s definitely fully compatible with NewsMag

Just upadted my wordpress installation from 4.0.1 to 4.1 and WP Bakery’s Visual Composer is broken.
Trying to move any element around freezes the mouse pointer in the move cursor and bugs out the VC element you are tying to move around, freezing it and leaving it unable to be edited or clicked. Happens on new pages and old pages. Tried, IE, Chrome and Firefox.

My site is setup for products and for blogging using categories. So i don’t want to do this sitewide. I only want to add a corner ribbon to all featured images in a few categories. (Other categories are not products but blog posts)
My question is.. Can I just type in some line of code to the post text box and it will make a ribbon over the featured image for just that one post (or how many I want to do that to).
I understand there needs to be code in the style.css or functions maybe, i’m not sure..
