Hi,
First please make sure that you have set an image to your user profile and use WP User Avatar to do it.
If this dose not help please provide an URL to your site so I can check this and also make sure you disable all plugins and check again to make sure that this isn’t happening due to a plugin and also remember to empty cache if you use any.
Thanks
Hi,
Could please provide more details about the error you have as I have also tested this and tried to recreate it and haven’t found any issues with this.
Please let me know and also make sure that this isn’t happening due to some other plugins you are using so make sure you disable all plugins laving just Visual Composer active and also empty cache and/or purge files if you use any cache plugins or CDN host services and try again.
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately the speed booster plugin doesn’t have an asynchronous option to load scripts you could use though W3 Total Cache plugin for it: http://screencast.com/t/nSuLrqlLcoHZ
Thanks
Hi,
I have checked both this sites http://www.anim-arte.com/ and http://www.ga-ga.com on all browsers and found no issues. Also tested the latest theme version and found no issues. For those who still have this type of issue we suggest checking this without any plugins active with cache emptied and purged files and let me know if this is still happening.
Thanks
Hi,
I have checked your site and seems to look well now: http://screencast.com/t/Tt04zQgf
Please make sure you empty cache and check again. Increase the margin value if you need more space there and set it to 30px or 40px instead of 20px.
Thanks
Hi,
Thanks! Please use this custom css to change the list images: http://screencast.com/t/X1jCQBdL
.td-post-content ul {
list-style: url(https://fbcdn-dragon-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xpa1/t39.2365-6/851584_550213765042223_593501542_n.png);
}
.td-post-content ul > li:before {
display: none;
}
Replace the list style url path with your own and add the other lists that you want to style like this to the css as this is just for posts lists.
For quotes it’s not that easy. You can chose pull quotes center style for example then replace the content the “before” element which contains the right quotes image with your own then style the quotes to look and fit well with your image.
Ex:
1. set pull quotes center: http://screencast.com/t/v1QPOfu1Asb
2. replace the background image of the first quotes with your own and hide the other from the right. You also need to change the height and width values.
Here is an example of how it could look: http://screencast.com/t/m5JuU7Ef
.post .td_pull_quote p:before, .page .td_pull_quote p:before {
background:url('http://islamicartdb.com/wp-content/uploads/cache/2014/12/quote-icon-def/780757907.png') no-repeat;
width: 50px;
height: 50px;
top: 10px;
}
.post .td_pull_quote p:after, .page .td_pull_quote p:after {
display: none;
}
You need some css/html knowledge to get this done so if you don’t know how to customize this we suggest you to get a freelancer from sites like: http://studio.envato.com/ as you need custom work for this and at the moment we cannot provide custom work as we work hard on the development, updates, fixes and support.
Hope this helps!
Thanks
They work fine in IE11 and Chrome on my Win7/64 machine/desktop; iPad Air in Safari and Chrome; no AdBlocker software when visiting the site. They work fine on my website and the demo site…. so….. perhaps you folks need to seriously clear your cache? Dunno. I hate those funky gremlins. If I can see them on his site it’s not a CORS issue as they would not work for anybody at all. Since they work for “many but not some” this implies some site specific issue -or- a browser specific issue.
Talkin’ bout’

For reference, my pesky beta site, launching Jan 1:
http://www.ga-ga.com (YES! it’s a work in progress; home page not setup !!! Switched from Newspaper last week and didn’t get any further due to this other stupid deadline thing I have …. )
Hi,
I have problem with featured image on post style 3. Its showing only tittle with grey background. You can see here> http://delcevodenes.mk/%D0%B0%D0%BB%D0%BA%D0%BE%D1%85%D0%BE%D0%BB-%D0%BA%D0%B0%D0%BA%D0%BE-%D0%BF%D1%80%D0%B5%D1%82%D0%B5%D1%80%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%BE%D1%82%D0%BE-%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%BD%D0%B7%D1%83%D0%BC%D0%B8%D1%80%D0%B0/
A similar style 4 works fine.
I read this question and your answer and I did everything like you sad, but its the same.
I don’t use CDN, and is not selected minify and browser cache on W3 total cache.
Hi,
First please make sure that this isn’t happening due to some other plugins you are using so make sure you disable all plugins laving just Visual Composer and Social Counter and also empty cache and/or purge files if you use any cache plugins or CDN host services and try again.
What theme version do you use as we have included the fixed version of the plugin into the latest theme update 4.6 so if you do not using it we suggest that you get the latest theme version from themeforest and you should find the fixed social counter plugin’s version within the themeâs files in the plugins folder.
Thanks
Hello,
My website CSS doesn’t load for some users and website speed sites.
Examples of a recent test:
1) http://www.webpagetest.org/result/141203_XT_MTH/1/screen_shot/cached/
2) http://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.twitcelebgossip.com/9Epz7efT
Tried all my plugins, nothing wrong there.
I have no speed improvement plugins activated including TagDiv’s.
The only one i have is,W3Cache page cache enabled with a CDN activated as well.
One visitor said it doesn’t work on their kindle HD Fire?
Not sure what the problem is?
Hi,
It looks like this to me: http://screencast.com/t/VEicnVqu01xH
Make sure you empty browser cache and check again.
Thanks
Hi,
I’m not sure how behaves in your case, could you please make sure that this also happens when you deactivate all plugins. Please do so and also empty cache files and also purge files if you use any CDN host service.
If this still dose not solve your issue please make sure you have the latest theme version (1.1) installed and make sure you updated it like this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-theme/
If you do have the latest theme version please give us wp-access so we can check this and send your login details at contact@tagdiv.com including a link to this topic or specify your issue in details.
Hope this helps! Please let me know!
Thanks
I have just re-installed wordpress. Same thing comes up again.
I activated the Twenty Fourteen theme and the problem didn’t happen.
I re-activated newsmagazine theme and the problem started happening again.
I also de-activated W3 Total Cache settings and re-enabled, tried enabling minify aswell to check and warnings flashing up saying minify is infected to.
I ran securi scans, exploit scanner and all coming back with no problems found.
Hi,
Please make sure that this isn’t happening due to some other plugins you are using so make sure you disable all plugins laving just Visual Composer and Social Counter and also empty cache and/or purge files if you use any cache plugins or CDN host services and try again.
If this issue is till present please send your site’s URL so I can inspect this.
Thanks
Hi,
Try to disable all plugins, enable only Visual Composer and check if the issue is still there.
If you use cdn or external cache clear/purge it.
Thank you, Emil G.
Hi,
First of all please make sure that you use the video playlist right and that you add your videos like this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/video-playlist-newsmag/
If you did set this right then make sure that this is not happening due to some other plugins you use so deactivate all plugins leaving just Visual Composer and Social Counter plugins active then empty cache and purge files and try again.
I have also tested this using the latest theme version (1.1) and found no issue with this: http://screencast.com/t/lFwdDjOyZrL1
Please let me know and also provide your site’s URL.
Thanks
Hi,
1. Unfortunately the scheduling posts feature is not related to the theme, it’s an WordPress feature we suggest to try finding a solution for it on the web.
2. Please check this without any plugins active so make sure you disable all plugins then empty cache and also purge files if you sue any cache or CDN plugins the check again.
3. You deactivate caching and check again for this is is not happening while caching is off you should check your caching plugin settings and try different settings for caching.
4. Please provide more details about this and also when using W3 Total Cache use only Page Cache. ( no database cache, no object cache, no javascript minify)
Also please be sure that WordPress installation have enough resources to make the caches.
Thanks
Hi,
@Danijelmo Sorry for the delay and for the inconvenience caused. Have you managed to get this done? I have noticed that your don’t use the speed booster plugins but you do have a good page speed according to PageSpeed Insights: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fcrnjaci.com%2F&tab=desktop
Seems that you still need to fix some issue you with some js and css. In this case the speed booster plugin would help. We suggest to activate the plugin, empty cache and purge files then use the guide we offer for using speed booster for your page speed and move js and css to the footer only for the recommended plugins first as using the speed booster plugin with other plugins could cause issues, so make sure you use it without any plugins first.
Please also consider using the 2.5 version of the plugin as some issues where reported using the 3.0 version of the plugin.
If you don’t have it anymore please send an e-mail at contact@tagdiv.com and we will send you the previous plugin version.
Please let me know if you still have issue using the speed booster plugin and if so what issues you encounter.
Thanks
Yes, the instructions clearly say don’t use “minify” with W3 Total Cache with this theme, so that was a good choice đ
Force gzip is not a good solution for simply having your hosting provider properly setup gzip/deflate for your hosting account. This is a normal “needed” option for all hosting. If they won’t do it, move to a better hosting company. Seriously.
You can minify the CSS pretty easily (I cover this in the PageSpeed sticky topic several times). It’s not hard to do with the main CSS file. Worth doing, frankly. Just keep backup. All it really does is remove all the extra spaces, line breaks, and un-necessary thing like ; before a } and stuff like that. But it can cut the “size” of the file by 25% or more in 5 minutes. Super easy to do once you do it.
I already have W3 Total Cache enabled, but I had to switch of minify as the front end of the site just becomes a blank white page when enabled.
I also have force gzip plugin installed in wordpress which worked great in the past for my compression.
Page Rank is saying I need to lower the size of css, but I dont really want to tinker with it.
I did as your recommend. Disable plugin and clear homepage builder and also clear cache.
It still show “Authentication Required” Username and Password.
It shown when I am on mobile device and try to visit post.
Plz help me…
HI, to make this easier to find, I’m posting this in one place.
This applies to moving from Newspaper to Newsmag, but could also apply to moving from any other theme using Visual Composer, which can be tricky.
At bottom is also a how-to if you already borked (crashed) your site and are getting server 500 error or similar.
======== Christopher’s how-to theme migration =============
Try this:
1) make backup of your site files, as per usual good practices; use tools to export your database from WP panel. Backup images.
Clear cache.
2) make sure youâre running latest version of WordPress (4.1); v 3.9x has cross-site scripting vulnerability; v4.0 has bugs, fixed in 4.1.
3) switch to default theme (e.g., twenty-twelve); do this before disabling visual composer!!!!!
Clear cache again, as applicable.
4) disable ALL plugins
5) DELETE the original theme folder, delete the original plugins for theme (TD speed booster, TD social, Visual Composer)
Then follow my posts on best way to install theme:
================================================
Make sure you upload only the main theme files; donât install the âall filesâ zip from ThemeForest⊠that has docs, psd files, plugins, etc.
You want to install the smaller of the two files on Themeforest, if youâre installing via theme panel with .zip.
BEST WAY TO INSTALL WP THEMES:
Ideal way is still to
1) unzip theme folder âNewsmagâ on your HD
2) upload via FTP/SFTP to your /wp-content/themes/ folder
3) upload the plugins unzipped to /wp-content/plugins/
4) switch to default theme from your old theme [should already be done for migration]
5) turn off *all* running plugins [should already be done for migration]
6) clear your cache(s), turn off caching (!),
7) activate the Visual Composer plugin
8) activate the new Newsmag theme
9) launch the theme panel
10) reactivate only the plugins you 100% need to make sure they work (some plugins WILL NOT WORK properly with WP 4.01 until you update the plugins!).
Clear the cache in your WEB BROWSER FULLY and restart web browser; this clears any CSS/Java used by your previous theme admin, and theme, so that you see the new CSS/JS properly (seriously, this is cause for huge number of âmy new theme doesnât load rightâ or âadmin panel doesnât have any boxes!â errors).
If youâre running WordPress older than 4.0 be aware there is a very serious cross-site scripting vulnerability (e.g., WP 3.9.2). You should be running WP 4.0+ to use this theme properly.
This is standard practice for switching to a brand new theme and good habit to get into doing it this way to ensure you clear cobwebs on old, and cleanly move to new.
Hope that helps! đ
Chris
==========
ADVANCED USERS AND WP-CONFIG FILE:
if you or somebody else optimized your site for better PageSpeed score and increase dbase efficiency, by editing the wp-config.php file to add absolute paths to the theme folder, you will need to remove that line prior to doing any theme switch. Some people forget this step and immediately get a server error trying to change themes in the WP admin panel. You should be making backups of your wp-config.php folder periodically anyway and never hurts to open it and view from time to time.
===========
SITE RESCUE IF ALREADY CRASHED
f you already borked your install and are getting server 500 error or similar you will need to do common procedure to reset WordPress:
1) login via FTP, manually delete both Newspaper and Newsmag themes so that all that is in theme folder is default themes; this forces WordPress to restart with default theme
2) manually delete the Visual Composer plugin so there is no VC folder in plugins
3) rename your plugins folder to pluginsX
4) login successfully
5) go to theme panel and SELECT your default twenty-twelve theme to CLEAR the prior selection in dbase of the Newspaper or Newsmag theme no longer running
6) logout
7) via FTP or server side file manager, rename plugins back to plugins
8) login and make sure site is working
9) then do CLEAN install of the Newsmag theme, plugins
(admin feel free to add this to docs if you wish)

Hello,
I just deactivated minify in W3 Total cache and now everything works fine.
search box, sticky menu, and menu bar on mobile doesn’t work when minify is active.
@gomerblog . The problem isnt newspaper theme. You need to set a better config in your server. My site hits more than 150K visits per day on a little VPS whit only 4 cores and 2GB of ram. But im running on Nginx + Memcache and some configs to improve stability and speed.
Conclusion, you need to hire an SysAdmin
