Hi

Do you have any cache on the server, not in your wp install, directly on the server? Contact your host provider and ask him if there is any cache for php. You can also try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, just to make sure that there is not a plugin’s fault then test the site again.
Let us know how it goes and if the problem persist please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials and we will inspect this issue as soon as possible, also include a link to this topic.

Thanks!

Hello berchman,

I have checked your website and I saw that you are using the Speed Booster. I suppose that you are referring to the appearance of a flash when you enter on your website…firstly is loaded a style and then will appear another style, right? This behaviour appears when you have additional customization through custom CSS code. Please notice that the CSS are working in cascade and the first time will take the code from style.css that is set it by default and then the theme will take the custom code that you have changed from Theme panel and practically this flash is generated by this cause. As a workaround, you have to check your style.css and try to add directly in this file your desired custom code. So, if your problem is still there, please try to revert the theme to the default settings, without any customizations and let us know how it goes. Also, you can try to make a new fresh install from scratch with the latest version of the theme and check the results.
Also, please make sure every time you cleared caches.

Hope this helps!

Thanks.

Hello Fitlogy.com,

The functionality of Search button cannot be changed very easy because all of this implementation is placed in code and this is not a simple task. First of all, if you want to bring best results with our theme, disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled wit hour theme and rule out any conflicting plugins.

Hope this helps!

Thanks.

Hello,

This is most likely a plugin conflict. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. ALso remove any javascript compression you seem to have active on your site. Then test the menus again.
let us know if you still have issues with the menu.

Thank you!

Hi

The theme does not control the registration process, it only make the widget used in this regard. WordPress handle login/registration process so it could be a conflict with some plugin or a miss-configuration from the server. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge the cdn if you’re using and test the site again.

Hope this helps!
Thanks!

If you cannot see he background, there could be some kind of error on your site so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have implemented. We have no reports of such issues and we cannot recreate the issue on our end.

I have several post that i keep updating from time to time, this means that i may change the permalink too.
So far, everytime i updated a post (permalink included) wp automatically redirect all traffic from old URL to new URL. But this is not hapening anymore since i installed Newspaper. Latest URL of any updated post works properly but old ones do not redirect as it should.
For example:
Post: http://agendadeocio.es/madrid/teatro/si-la-cosa-funciona-teatro-maravillas-jose-luis-gil/
works OK
This post old URL was: http://agendadeocio.es//madrid/teatro/si-la-cosa-funciona-con-jose-luis-gil-en-el-teatro-alcazar
But when post was updated, and changed url to a custom one, WP redirected it to new URL… now i have NEWSPAPER theme installed this is not happening any more, making me lose traffic from links to the old url
I read some topics and reset permalinks, deleted cache, deactivate plugins… not solved so far.
do you have any idea what may be happening? Thanks

Hello ijammedia,

Try to re-save your permalinks from General Settings, clear all your caches and test it again and check the results. If the problem persists, you will have to provide your website URL so I can inspect it closer.

Thanks.

Hi tagDiv,
I tried to remove query string from all resources.
Mention: whit the plugin Speed-Boostser activated or not allways bring the same results, so discarded.

So, using functions like:

function remove_cssjs_ver( $src ) {
     if( strpos( $src, '?ver=' ) )
         $src = remove_query_arg( 'ver', $src );
     return $src;
 }
 add_filter( 'style_loader_src', 'remove_cssjs_ver', 10, 2 );
 add_filter( 'script_loader_src', 'remove_cssjs_ver', 10, 2 );

or

function _remove_script_version( $src ){
$parts = explode( '?', $src );
return $parts[0];
}
add_filter( 'script_loader_src', '_remove_script_version', 15, 1 );
add_filter( 'style_loader_src', '_remove_script_version', 15, 1 );

… for all other resource works but only this resources are untouched:

  1. http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans:300italic,400italic,600italic,400,600,700&ver=7.4
  2. http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto:500,400italic,700,900,500italic,400,300&ver=7.4
  3. http://domain.com/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/assets/css/js_composer.min.css?ver=7.4
  4. http:///domain.com/wp-content/themes/BT/style.css?ver=7.4

Why is not possible?

I know that this practice ensure you that the browser will not be able to store them in cache and users allways will see the right version from each update.

Thanks.

Hi,

Please disable all your plugins except Visual Composer and Yoast Seo plugin, clear all your caches and try to share a new post and see how it goes.
If it still doesn’t work please try to use the fb debugger(Scrape it) tool to refresh it – https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
The theme doesn’t control the og meta, so it could be a facebook issue. Try the debugger and see how it goes.

Thanks!

Hi,

We only recommend this caching plugin and these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Also make sure you disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.

Thank you!

Hello,
I suspect your fonts got changed vie css. Please remove any custom css in your theme panel or any custom code added in the theme files. Restore the theme to it;s default behavior without any interference and check the fonts again. Also disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it.
If you cannot manage to get the icons to show, please provide a link to your site pointing at such an elements and we will take a look.
It can also be a cdn issue like this topic suggests: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/

Thank you!

Another tip:
– resave your permalinks and after clear all cache.
If not work, disable your minification!
