Hi,
You can see the page structure and the elements that are contained, by opening your page in the Visual composer editor – https://www.screencast.com/t/H1psqxKFJ0QD
There you can make changes like adding, editing or removing page building elements. Here you can find all the available settings and options for blocks – https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
If you mean the ad box you can remove it from there.
Thanks
Hi,
Each demo has it’s own style that is custom made for it. However it is entirely possible to recreate it.
The homepage is a a page created in Visual composer with the following elements that you mention
The Must read section is block 5 on a full row
– https://www.screencast.com/t/kXGPxTa3
The Fashion section is block 11 on 2 columns
– https://www.screencast.com/t/OXy1v5Yki8HQ
The Latest articles is block 9 on 2 columns
– https://www.screencast.com/t/42gPr5neIZRm
All the font properties for these elements can be modified as well, in the theme panel
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/font-customization/
You can see all the available blocks in different layouts here
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
You can use the browser inspector tool to identify the elements used on the page. Here is a guide to help you

Thanks
I’m using the Newspaper with the Wprssaggregator plugin (they the theme listed as a reccomeneded theme at https://www.wprssaggregator.com/themes/) and am having trouble getting a filter to work with visual composer.
The plugin has a filter for linking post titles directly to the external link of the post’s rss feed which works when using standard category pages but doesn’t work when using the visual composer to create grids (https://docs.wprssaggregator.com/make-post-titles-link-to-the-original-article/).
Any ideas how to get the filter to work or a work around for this?
thanks, chris
Hello fredyyv,
If you want to make some links using the Visual Composer, notice that you can do this if you will use the Visual Composer Buttons functionality, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/U1Z3CMxK2Z For more information about how you can use this plugin, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
I’m using alexa and our website in alexa site audit found broken link in https://html5shim.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/html5.js. how to remove it maybe that include in theme or visual composer.
Hello davidagent,
Please notice that layout (1/4+1/2+1/4) is not tested with our theme and we cannot say for sure if you are using it you will bring best results. If you will check the row settings in Visual Composer you will see that layout is not active, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/LVeZC360 For more information about how you should use the Visual Composer, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
The element is created custom for the dark demo version. In order to re-create it you need to create a tab element in visual composer and only use grids with style 1. Then you ned to add an extra class to the tab element: td-tab-color
Once you did this, you need to copy over the css from the black version into the main style.css file: http://screencast.com/t/2A3bCsQF
Thanks.
Hi,
You can create the layout you want using the available elements from Visual composer. Here you can see all the available blocks and big grids that you can be used
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
With these and many more you can create unique designs for your website. Please also take a look at the theme demo’s which demonstrate the capabilities of the theme and what can be achieved through it

Hi,
The Visual composer editor is an important part of the theme, with it you can create unique page design using the featured blocks, grids and other elements. This editor is one of the key advantages of the theme providing many customization possibilities. If you choose not to use it this will limit capabilities in this regard. You can use the theme without Visual composer, but with limited customization options.
Thanks
Hi,
For example, if i choose “Block 3” element from Visual Composer, in the “Filter” tab, i would like to change the “Post ID filter” field to support autocomplete function. Please advise which folder/files i need to do the modification.
Refer this image link of what i want to achieve.

I’m trying to link from one blog post to a middle section of a page I created using visual composer. How can this be done? So when someone clicks that link, instead of them going to the top of that I want them to go to a certain section on that page. Some pages of mine are very long and I want to link to specific topics on that page. I’m sure there is a way to do it, I just don’t have any idea how.
Hello wilfredo,
For more references about this problem, please check the following topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-deregister-js_composer-css-and-javascript-file-on-single-posts/
Thanks for the message!
I have a query on visual composer.

How to disable visual composer css input.
I think it causes a lot of weight in the visual css composer.
I want it is only enable for pages and disable for each post entries
Hello,
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello dabadaba,
Please keep in mind that here is talking about two different things. On the website, tags means this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/OlB2OcUPLdue and the category tags means this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/5wttwxE3c0w If you want to display your Tags on your homepage, you should use WP Tag Cloud element from Visual Composer, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/xKbnrQhWu
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
Sorry but our news ticker does not have that kind of layout as seen on the site you mentioned.
There are only 2 styles available for the ticker: https://www.screencast.com/t/W8zpJViil
Categories cannot be edited like static pages using visual composer so you cannot add block elements to them unless you add them through coding.
Here is an example of a trending now block added through a do_shortcode function in the category top post files https://www.screencast.com/t/k9zFLrYkEg
Here is the code used: <?php echo do_shortcode('[td_block_trending_now tdc_css=""]'); ?>
Thank you!
Hello,
This issue is caused due to many complex elements on your site. That causes a very high load in the serve. In this case you will simply need better hosting so all the complex elements can be supported by it. Visual composer is known to be slow and demanding and that is why people tend to find different page builder solutions. Our own page builder does not present a risk as you say as it’s developed by us not a third party. We are working hard on the page builder and it will become a very powerful tool.
Now for a solution to your ajax problem. The first one would be jot to use too many different blocks on your homepage. Using more different blocks will cause a higher load. You seem to use lots of different blocks on your homepage. Make the homepage simpler with no more than 4 blocks if your hosting cannot handle a larger number on high traffic spikes.
To reduce ajax calls, simply remove some of the pagination and ajax filters on your blocks. For mobile users, one solution could be the mobile theme plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
And last but not least, check your plugins as they slow down the site radically. You also have lots of js errors in your console most likely due to plugins or customization.
Thank you!
Hello alderion,
I have inspected your website and I saw that your first link of your image in smart list do not work as expected and also, I noticed that you have some js errors through your console, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/M0QksGs4g So, if you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files. If the problem is still there after this, you should try making a new clean install from scratch via FTP way and check the results. First of all, try to make a full backup of your data for not to lose your data. I have checked the smart list on my end and everything seems to work as expected.
Thanks for your understanding!
Visual Composer only updated when theme updated. It cannot be updated separately unless you buy a license with WP-Bakery. Just ignore the update nag.
Hi there,
I would like to create a poll from time to time for my audience. The poll will use a custom post type and I can create a special layout template from Visual Composer for all poll posts.
I want to remove these elements from the poll posts:
– social share buttons (top and bottom)
– author card
– next and previous post
– category and tag
– breadcrumb
Note that these elements are standard for other posts and I would like to keep them. I will use ‘Custom CSS’ plugin to insert custom codes to remove the above for ONLY poll posts.
Can you provide the codes that I can add in ‘Custom CSS’ to remove the above elements? Or is there any other better way to do this, ie custom css for only certain type of post?
Thanks in advance
Since installing the theme, I’ve been having issues with updating plugins, I receive an error when trying to update Visual Composer and by searching on your forum I see it should already be activated and updates will be provided.
I’m not sure if trying to update the Visual Composer is causing the site to be stuck in maintenance mode or not? I can login via FTP and delete the maintenance file and proceed, but I am not sure if there is anything I need to do with Visual Composer or just ignore when it says there’s an update?
I think the default RSS widget comes with WordPress, not the theme.
There are many great RSS widgets plugins to look at, as best option if you don’t want to edit the one included with WordPress with filters/styles.
Best to look at the WordPress.org plugin repository for custom ‘widgets’ that can be used.
If you’re asking about a Visual Composer element, that’s something entirely different, and I have no idea.
( I don’t work here – just some feedback. )
Hi There,
Firstly, I’m not sure if it’s just me, but the search functionality of this forum seems to be broken, It makes it difficult for me to research this issue.
We continue to have intermittent load and performance issues, we seem to have narrowed it down to multiple /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
It appears one article page load will generate 21 requests to /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php.
We are seeing strange intermittent issues where I believe (according to our tech) we are being flooded with these requests, we get an abnormally high number of active nginx connections, the site eventually slows to a stop and crashes. Strangely it eventually (maybe after an hour) it corrects itself, it doesn’t seem to be associated with high load.
I’ve read a few similar threads of people experiencing ver similar issues
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/i-need-shim-working-again/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/high-processor-usage-by-admin-ajax-and-index-php/
I’ve read a few different bits of advise with no particular resolution.
1. Potentially it’s an issue with Visual Composer and changing to TD Composer might fix the issue, this seems risky, so I’m hesitant to do this work unless there is a high level of confidence that is will fix the issue.
2. Reduce the reliance of ajax and pagination on blocks, I’m happy to do this, but the vast majority of my users access the article page directly and through mobile devices. For example yesterday we had 550K impressions on mobile and 7K impressions on desktop.
What specifically should I be looking for to reduce AJAX calls and pagination? I can’t see any specifically on the article pages.
At this point I’m willing to forgo almost any functionality that is not crucial to our business to ensure stability.
The site is http://www.shwemom.com
Cheers,
Mick
Hi,
From what I understand you are missing the option to update the user profile
– https://www.screencast.com/t/PcB5n4pko
Please provide more details about this and some useful screenshots if possible. In the meantime you can try to deactivate all your plugins except Visual composer, clear any caching installed then check to see if the problem is still present. A problematic plugin could be the cause for this.
Thanks
