Please keep in mind that the block buttons are made them with some custom rule. Please ensure that you do not use some untested plugins which can interact with the theme js files and cause a lot of unknown issues. Try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. You could try to remove the page title or change it as a test – https://www.screencast.com/t/u9fh11hpw and update the page then preview it and see if it is affected. If it’s still there it must be a cache issue, try clearing the cache, also disable all the plugins except Visual Composer and see what happens regarding this issue.

Yes, the limitation is from visual composer as both these elements are visual composer elements and not theme elements.

First of all, you should provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it. You should check our demo and there you will see how one should look smarlist 1, like this -> http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/smart-list-style-1/7/ You will bring this layout for smartlist 1 if you will set this feature according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-lists/ Also, if you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. Notice that the smartlist is too sensible feature and it is possible that some untested plugins to interact with the code and cause a lot of unknown issues.

Ok, first, please try not to use any symbols or language specific characters as wordpress will strip the sidebars of any content if any symbols are detected.
Do any other widgets show up or is it just the menu element?
Also, it could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

The recommended permissions for a file is 644 and for a folder i 755. Make sure you have these set to your server.
Please also try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it.
If plugins did not affect permissions, then maybe another source could have. Please make a clean install of WP and the theme and test again as the file permissions are not changed by the theme.

It seems to work on your site when the code is applied – https://www.screencast.com/t/qFjqtqn8Pjy and after I refreshed the page a few times the count increased from 39 to 43 with some delay.
Also this code does not affect the view counter, maybe you have installed a plugin with this functionality which can interact with the post view count feature and cause this problem. Try disabling all the plugins except Visual Composer and see what happens in regard to the post view count.

Compatibility with php 7.0 was added in newspaper 7.6 so please update your theme using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
As for visual composer, sorry but we are not the plugin author. Compatibility with php 7 must be added by the plugin author as we cannot edit the plugin ourselves. It will break our license agreement with wpbakery.

If you mentioned your problem from the start this would not have happened. That is why wer recommend creating your own topic and detailing exactly what you want to do.
A video player will not work in a a tab element but you never mentioned a video playlist until now.
This is a visual composer limitation, not a theme limitation. You cannot use a video player with a tab element. Sorry. You cannot use tabs with video elements or video playlists.
Please next time create a new topic and add specific instructions to exactly what you want to achieve and where you want it.
