It seems to have a problem with your frontend. Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme which is Newspaper 7.5 and also, the latest version of required plugins which come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. Make sure that you have updated the Visual Composer to the higher tested version with the theme ->4.12.1. Notice that the theme is fully compatible with the VC and until now we do not have any bad reports in this regard! If the problem is still there, please try making a new fresh install from scratch via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. Unfortunately, the latest version of Visual Composer (version 5) is not yet tested with our theme and you can’t use it with our theme, at the moment, sorry! Notice that this plugin should have to be adjusted and verified before being released. Our developers work hard in this regard and we will release that version in our near future updates. Until we will launch the future updates with this version of Visual Composer you should use the VC 4.12.1 version.

Unfortunately, this is not a simple task using only the Visual Composer plugin to recreate the Big Grid 3, sorry! Please keep in mind that our Big Grids are custom made and you cannot change very easy the structure of them, sorry! Here is talking about additional customizations and as you probably know, we cannot provide this type of services at the moment, sorry!
If you want to display more levels in our theme and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

Well, that could be the reason the mobile theme will not display themn. The mobile theme was built to ignore visual composer. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Try to use the shortcodes separate from visual composer and add them in the mobile editor for pages.

You are right and VC is getting lots of updates recently and that is the reason why the latest version is not yet available for use with our theme. We cannot keep up with the updates live. We have to download the update, test it with our theme and make the proper adjustments. And yes, the plugin will not work out of the box, it needs adjustments to work properly with our theme elements. It seems to be a strange behavior which can be generated by your untested plugins which are used by you. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. Please keep in mind that the mobile theme plugin is fully tested and compatible with our product and it seems to work as properly until now. Try my advice and check the results.

Unfortunately, there are no sorting option for the category archive. A category page is not like a standard page. It will show all your posts that belong to that category in a “latest” sorting fashion. The only options available for the category pages are available in the theme panel under the per-category setting. You cannot edit a category page in visual composer and you cannot sort the posts as there is no such functionality added to them. WordPress only provides a loop of the latest posts on category pages and we do not change that functionality. We added a bit of style to it, but do not change the base structure of a category page.
Visual composer as well cannot be used on a category page as they also did not create it to handle categories. We only recommend using visual composer on pages but the plugin allows the use on posts as well, but no category pages.
