Visual Composer is not working properly on my end.. this theme has become a very disappointing purchase and I sort want my money back. I am trying to set up templates and other things for my site in my free time and for it not to work as advertised is very maddening. On top of that, the nagging “please activate your copy of visual composer” notification and trying to verify it has my blood boiling. Telling us to ignore this is like telling a driver on a road to ignore the traffic lights. It just won’t fly.

The first day when I installed the theme the Visual Composer was working very well but its been a 3 month now and I want change the look of my homepage, so when I try to open on Pages -> All pages -> Home on my wordpress site to change the homepage, it takes a very long time to open. Be sure your mobile theme plugin is active. And if is actvie, try to update visiual composer.
and if you already do both of that. Look mobile theme settings from theme panel.

Delete Social Media Counter from your ‘WordPress Panel’
Upload Social Media Counter Plugin which included Newspaper Files. (\Newspaper-tf\plugins\td-social-counter.

I’ve upgraded my Newspaper theme (7.1.1), visual composer (4.11.2) and social counter (4.1) but my instagram count is still 0 when I’ve 542 follower at this moment.

I was having the same issue…
Update Visual Composer and then update Social plugin all will work.
I solved the problem.
Go to your themeforest account and download the updated version of the theme.
Then go to your wordpress, deactivate the theme by choosing another one and delete the current newsmag. Your data and design wont be lost.
Install the new download from themeforest and activate it.
You will have to buy the new version of visual composer at $36 since its update is not covered in this new update of newsmag.
If that doesn’t help you, then contact theme creators.

Hi,
You don’t have to purchase these plugins: as for the WPBakery Visual Composer, just deactivate it, delete it and then, reinstal lit from the theme plugins tab.
As for the Slider Revolution, it’s packaged inside your Newspaper pack/folder. You can upload and activate it through FTP or, as indicated here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-install-revolution-slider-v5/

My pages made with Visual Composer are blank on Mobile Theme!
Purchased the Newspaper Theme, installed it but cannot update the Visual Composer as outlined in the forum, when refresh the plugins and I am getting this message;

Visited the settings page, followed the prompts, but no ‘licenses’ found. Don’t have valid license yet? Purchase Visual Composer license.

When I viewed the online ‘demo’ and viewed the videos, nothing was mentioned that I would have to purchase these extra items – I thought that this theme would be fully functional out of the box.

Is there a way to customize block titles in this theme? Currently in the newsmag theme, if you’re using visual composer you can change the background color of the block title and the text. I was hoping to be able to customize the shape of the block titles but am not sure where to put/change the code for that.

I would like to add a daily quote somewhere.
1. Can I use visual composer to do this? I would prefer a new quote daily, taken from a list.
Preferably the quote should be on the top menu besides the logo. In the VC i can only edit certain parts of the page, the Logo, for instance, I can not “drag and drop”.
2. Can I put a quote (a static or daily) besides the Logo with VC?

I’ve checked your site and noticed that your using page template default for homepage. On this post template the sidebar won’t be displayed when Visual Composer it’s used unless you add it on the page. You can use a widgetized sidebar element from Visual Composer: http://screencast.com/t/WXheJbjhKO You can also make it sticky following this link: https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/
Also for posts you don’t have sidebar set. Try to set a sidebar from post editor clear the cache memory the test the site again.

Please keep in mind that Visual Composer come bundled with our theme and you will have to use only the version which comes with the theme and not other to achieve better results. Our latest version of the theme is Newspaper 7.1.1 and the right version for required plugins are -> Visual Composer 4.11.2 and Social Counter 4.1.
As you can see, all the plugins are in constant development. Each plugin will have to be checked with our theme for a good working and this process it may take a while. For example, the latest version of Visual Composer is 4.12 and the latest version of the plugin which has been tested with our theme is 4.11.2. In the future, after our developers will check this latest version of Visual Composer with the theme and they will find that the theme does not need to do some adjustments for, we will release an update with the latest version of Visual Composer (4.12). Until we will release the update with these latest versions you will have to ignore these messages.
So, please notice that if you want to have the latest version of the Visual Composer, you will need to have the additional license of this plugin and also, we cannot say for sure if this version of Visual Composer will work 100% with the theme because this version it is in testing.

A bug in the theme is present on our official demo as well, not only on your end 🙂 Here is how block 16 displays on our end: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-16/
If you made any modifications to the code, please revert them to the theme default.
Also plugins can also cause this type of issues so please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.

Upload the js_composer again and activate.
Deleting the plugin WP website is not always successful.
I am someone who like to keep my plugins up to date whether I use them or not.. that being said, I see WPBakery came with the theme (which I already paid and arm and a leg for).. When I try to update WPBakery, it claims I do not have a license and need to shell out additional funds to have a license. I have tried to update it and continue to get this:

Visual Composer also should have a license I assume as it was detected with the theme. But the WPBakery update notification will endlessly bug me until the end of time until it is updated. Please advise on a fix. Visual Composer, when I try to activate it, does not have a license.

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option that offers you a way to use our Big Grids in the stretch row with Visual Composer. Please notice that if you will use this method, you will not bring best results with our theme because it has been designed to work in full width, sorry!
Please notice that if you want to display more levels in our theme and you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard and if you need to do some additional customizations, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide this type of services at the moment, sorry!
