Hi,

At first look that page seems alright, is that error displayed only when editing this page? or it’s the same for all pages, even a new one?

Usually this kind of issues are related to something in the page content, in that case it will affect only that page. Or it can be caused by a plugin, then it will affect all the pages.

We could take a look if the problem is not caused by any of the above. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login so we can take a look (if possible also cPanel of FTP). Include a link to this topic in the email.

Thanks

The latest theme version (9.1) is available for download. Simply download it from your themeforest account
https://envato.com/blog/install-themeforest-wordpress-theme/
You can download the full theme package or just the theme zip
https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/

When the theme is updated by us it will be uploaded to themeforest and users can download it. Only the latest theme version can be downloaded.

You mentioned an automatic method to update the theme, that will be possible only with the Envato plugin, as mentioned in the update guide. The most recommended and reliable method to update is by FTP.

Hello, Catalin.

None of that (in that entry) works.

– Raised memory to 128
– Included recommended lines in .htaccess
– This is development server. We have no traffic
– Do not use Yoast
– Do not use Cache (This is a development server)
– It is important to note that the problem only arises if the page is selected as the blog page, otherwise it all goes fine. If I deselect the same page from a blog page, it can be edited.

Is it enough if I send you FTP server login and WP login? Or do you need server credentials?

Thanks.

NOTE: PHP error log has this: [18-Sep-2018 17:10:04 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined index: Newsmag in /home/biotikas/public_html/noticierodigital/cms/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/includes/tdc_version_check.php on line 26

Hi,

If you could provide access to the install where the issue happens we could take a look. Send us admin login as well as cPanel of FTP at contact@tagdiv.com so we can investigate. If you tried with a clean install and no extra plugins, then it may be a server issue of some kind.

Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks

Hi,

Please enter the code mentioned in the theme requirements guide at the bottom, in the htaccess file
That solved similar problems like blank pages
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/gray-page-tagdiv/

In other cases the composer loading animation kept showing, eventually it did not load. In that case a suggestion you could try is this one
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/javascript-error-td-composer-wont-load/

Also make sure there are enough resources allocated, as mentioned in the same requirements guide.

In case there is still a problem, we could take a look. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login as well as cPanel or FTP. We will investigate and try to find out why this happens.

Thanks

Hi,

Does that happen just for one page or for all the pages including a new empty page?

If it only happens for one page, then it is caused by something specific entered in it. If you remember entering something in it just before this happened, maybe return to a previous page revision.

If it happens for all the pages and you checked plugins and theme requirements, we could take a look. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel or FTP. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Hi,

First make sure you are installing/uploading the actual theme, not the whole theme package
https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/

These are the theme install guides, wither by FTP or by WordPress
https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-wordpress/

The message you are getting is usually caused by insufficient resources
https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-413-request-entity-too-large-error-in-wordpress/

Be sure to check the theme requirements guide and if needed ask your hosting provider to increase the parameters mentioned in the guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

Then try to install the theme again, there should be no problem. Please let us know if you have more questions.

Thanks

Hi,

For composer problems there are a few things to check. First would be the requirements guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Insufficient resources most likely will cause problems.

If there is no need for modifications in that matter, in some cases the solutions from these topics worked for blank pages or pages not loading, you could give them a try if possible
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/gray-page-tagdiv/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/javascript-error-td-composer-wont-load/

Ultimately we could take a look. We will require admin login and also cPanel or FTP if possible.

Send this information by email at contact@tagdiv.com and mention what exactly the problem is, how we can recreate the problem. Please include a link to this topic in the email.

Thanks

First of all, please notice that we strongly recommend making a full backup to your database before making any changes over your website to avoid losing all of your data, sorry! Before this, you can update your theme via FTP way, according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

In most cases the issue is caused by one of the cases below.

Could be caused by insufficient resources
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
In this case the hosting provider should be able to increase them.

Or it could be a security setting, module or firewall, as in this case where the theme panel was not saving any settings
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/cant-save-theme-options-2/

Also if you use Wordfence try to set it on learning more
https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/learning-mode/

If you already checked or tried these, we could take a look. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, also cPanel or FTP if possible. Please include a link to this topic in the email.

Hi

I found the answer to this. If you’ve got access to FTP, you can go into wp-content -> themes -> Newsmag and look for editor-style.css

Download and edit this file and look for:

html .mceContentBody {
margin-left: 20px;
margin-right: 20px;
max-width: 640px;
background: #ffffff url(‘images/editor-style/grid-sidebar-desktop.png’) repeat-y left top;

}

You can actually comment this out, or delete it.

Save and upload and you should have access to the full editor width.

I’m guessing it’s there to give a preview of how your content will look in the browser, but I prefer to have my full editor width.

Hope this helps

Tom

Hi,

I checked the test website you mention – http://prntscr.com/lj6mu1
Seems to still use 4.6 but the thumbnails are visible. We tried to recreate this issue on our end but without success.

So basically you updated the theme and installed a plugin (any plugin) and the issue begun to happen. What plugin did you deactivate now? The images are loading from what I can see.

Try to update again, this time try by FTP. Delete the theme folder from the WordPress themes folder and upload the new one.

Any details you can provide are helpful, so we can investigate more if there is a problem. Please let us know.

Thanks

Hi,

There are a few suggestions you could try. First thing to investigate would be plugins. Make a quick test, deactivate them all except theme plugins. Check if this solves the problem.

Next please check if the theme requirements are met
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If needed ask your hosting provider to adjust the parameters mentioned in the guide.

Remember to add the code provided at the bottom of the guide in the htaccess file. Doing this solved composer issues
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/gray-page-tagdiv/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/page-error-when-edit-with-td-composer/

In some cases when the composer wasn’t working properly the issue was fixed with this suggestion
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/javascript-error-td-composer-wont-load/

If there is still a problem, we could take a look. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. Let us know.

Hi,

From what I can see you are using an older theme version (7.4) the latest being 9.1. This may create problems when using the latest WordPress or newer PHP versions. You should strongly consider to update, that may fix the issue.

There were quite a lot of changes and new additions since that version. It is good practice to keep both theme and WordPress updated when updates are available and when possible.

A changelog for each update can be seen here for example
https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609 (bottom of the page)

An update guide is here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
The most reliable and most used method to update is by FTP. Remember to make a backup of the website before updating, just to be safe.

Hi,

In most cases we have investigated the issue was related to one plugin or the other. Deactivating all plugins except theme plugins solved the problem, so it was a question of identifying the one responsible.

You could try the same, see what happens. If you already tried this, we could take a look. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login access as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. Include a link to this topic in the email.
