While editing a post and refreshing the updated post on the frontend of the site, I noticed that the footer – which I had previously disabled – was showing again. That was odd, but I figured it was a small hiccup.

However, I also noticed that none of the big grids worked anymore (on homepage and on category pages).
It’s almost as if something got reset (and somehow made the big grids stop working).

So, recapping: “Big grid” type of post display stopped working on categories and on the homepage. I was not working with those settings when it broke.

I checked the settings and it looks like everything is set up correctly.

I’ve tried:
– Ensuring unique articles is disabled
– Disabling plugins (despite not working with them when it stopped working)
– Removing all filters from the big grid (just showing posts from all categories, no filters)
– Adding a new big grid with no filters
– Adding a different type of big grid with no filters
– Removing other big grids from the page

already i have a web page, but whe i install and activate the newspaper theme, the theme dont look with de colors and styles, looks plane, like without css, i dont know what to do

First, would like to say I really have enjoyed working with the Newspaper7 theme and the excellent documentation and forum.
I have recently migrated my site to a new hosting site and have been working to optimize it. I did implement TD_Speed Booster plug and started to do some testing activating the plugin and deactivating it (about 5 times) as was looking at speed gains on different tracking sites. One time when I went to deactivate Speed Booster I noticed there were two instances of the Speed Booster plugin on the plugin page, one activated and one not. At this point I decided to delete SpeedBooster and just focus cleaning up my code a bit before using Speed Booster.
When I went to edit my header.php file by downloading it to my computer, I opened up the header.php file and the content of the file are as follows:

When I downloaded opened other theme files the content of the files were replaced with something similar.

When I open the files in WP Admin Editor the files look normal but when I try to update the files using the Editor, when I click Update File, the browser opens my main page and no change is made.

I have gone through my site files to make sure td_wp_booster files have been removed, and they have.

I have activated my site with the Twenty Sixteen theme and downloaded those theme files and they were normal so it was not my new hosting site. I also deleted and reinstalled the Newspaper7 but had the same issue. I am using a child theme for Newspaper but have not deleted that yet.
I have deactivated all off my plugins and the issue still exists.

Looking for any guidance on how I can address this issue.

I’ve just installed the theme and and familiarizing myself with everything. After reading the doc files, I can’t find a way of displaying one of each category in the Big Grid.

So basically … I want the most recent of a collection of categories to show in the grid. How do I do that?

So if I have the Category Animals .. and sub catgories Cats, Dogs, Birds, and Fish. I want a grid of 4 … with the most recent post about each linking to a particular page.

Ok – I know next to nothing about website design so I apologise in advance for the dumbness of this question…
I’ve just installed and activated Newspaper 7 theme. Installed the “Politics” demo (looks very much like a news site). Then in “Theme Panel” under “Logo and Favicon” when I scroll down to the Text Logo section and input my own text and save changes – after I go back out to look at my site (its offline, installed locally), nothing changes and it’s still the default text as per the demo? What am I missing or doing wrong?

*Oh and my Header Style is set to “11” which is one of the three compatible with the “Text Logo” option.

I’m trying to install the Revolution Slider v5 as per the instructions here>>> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-install-revolution-slider-v5/ but after I press install I just get this message ‘504 Gateway Time-out. The server didn’t respond in time’.

I’ve tried it a few times in different browsers but no joy. Any help/ideas would be appreciated?

I recently launched a new version of my website using Newspaper 7.1.1. This is a clean install and not an upgrade of an older version of the theme. I immediately noticed that even a few (less than 10) visitors are able to rise my server’s processor usage to 100%. My Linux box shows PHP processes as the cause and not the MySQL server. Usage is constantly climbed to 100%. I tried disabling all installed plugins leaving enabled only Visual Composer and the theme. The problem is solved only by disabling the theme and enabling my old one (even with all plugins enabled). It seems like the theme’s code falls in some kind of infinite loop as soon as the first user hits the website.

I am running on a dedicated i7/32GB RAM/SSD server with no control panel, Apache 2.4.10, PHP 5.4.34. I am using the child theme for CSS customization purposes. There no overrides of core templates. In addition I have already installed Comet Cache in order to help my website stay online after the upgrade.

There have been several WordPress instação problems on my server. After searching long realized that the most practical solution, since it did not have much configured thing was clear the CMS and install again, but when you’ll be also Uninstalling theme. I wonder if by doing so I will lose my newspaper license, or if you recognize that licança out of use.

I was just told, that my WordPress installation trys to call itself up. It´s been recorded 3000 times in the access log. As a result, I can´t put anything online – just being told that the connection went down. What can I do? I need help urgently!

I noticed that the number of visitors to a particular article is not true. Today I have the statistics noted that one of the articles had a very good visit, but the number of the page of this article is only about 30.

Sure, I’ve got all the praise for you in terms of ad impressions in this theme, but I have a problem with Bottom Ads. I want you in this field put the link unit, a width of 200 px and I want to be on the left side, all I tried to change my align, adding’m HTML code, but I failed. Is there a way to pull this off.
