Its posible to change Menu Icon? (td-icon-mobile) - reply

Hi,

You can change it with css and font-awesome as it;s a font icon. Here is an example:

.td-icon-mobile:before{
content: '\f10c';
}
[class^="td-icon-"]:before, [class*=" td-icon-"]:before{
font-family: 'fontawesome';!important
}

I set the circle icon to the menu.

Loosing theme settings regulary - reply

Hi

We didn’t got a similar report before and we’re not sure which of the above settings could cause that issue. As a cache plugin we recommend WP Super Cache which is tested and works fine with our theme, for more detail about its setup please check this link: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

Child Theme with new mobile theme - topic

Hi,

I installed the mobile theme on my website, it looks amazing and super happy with the look, but there are a couple of things that are not working now.

1) Any custom code i have inputted through the child theme is now not being loaded (I have overwritten the core mobile files in my child theme). Could this be something with the function.php not allowing me to overwrite the files?

2) On the homepage, half my content has gone missing. Does the mobile theme only allow for certain modules? And how may i be able to change this to get my content back (preferably without disabling the mobile theme plugin as speed and look is fantastic).

Hi Adrei,

Is there a way I can send a private message for log in data? The website is still under construction and hidden. On more thing. I noticed that before using thumbnail regeneration, old uploaded pictures could be adjusted in size for the mega menu. Those where pictures I had uploaded before installing Newsmag. Best, Gabo.

Social Counter Sytle not found - reply

Hello,
The social counter styles are only available in newspaper 7 and the latest version of the social counter (4.1)
Please make sure you update your theme to the latest version install the social counter that is bundled with newspaper 7 in the main theme archive.

Hello,
You might have removed the sidebars or wordpress could have stripped the sidebars of content. This is known to happen if a theme install goes wrong or if you create custom sidebars and use special characters for their names. If you create custom sidebars please do not use any symbols or language specific characters as wordpress has a problem with this and will crash by stripping the sidebar of content. The sidebar name cannot be seen on the front-end so please only use standard characters for it.

Social Counter error - reply

Hi,
This happens because you use newspaper 7 but you did not update your social counter plugin. The old social counter will not work with newspaper 7. Please deactivate and delete files for the social counter from the wp plugins section and install the plugin again from here: http://screencast.com/t/GYD790MwTJEA

Can't edit home page/static page with virtual composer - topic

my webmaster said that you theme has a bug because is not possible to set home page as static page and then edit it with virtual composer – any other pages i add is ok i can edit – i try many ways myself but cant get where is mistake – im sure your theme is ok and something wrong in our installation or blog – thanks for help
so http://blog.dragonsbet.com/ i have settled WELCOME page in way i wish to be main blog page but not possible to make it as static main page but last post page only to work. If i try put it static the template change.

Please contact your host and make sure that php multibyte module is installed and activated – http://php.net/manual/en/mbstring.installation.php

Hi,
Well an internal server error is exactly as specified. Please contact your host and let him know of the error. There is nothing we can do from our side unfortunately.
Please make sure the theme is installed properly. Use this guide to install it again via ftp: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ then please check you meet the requirements: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If visual composer still is not working, please update your plugin to the latest version by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
You can find the latest version of the plugin in the main theme package under the plugins folder. It’s named ‘jscomposer’.

Hello,
There seems something went wrong in the installation process. Please update your theme via ftp by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and make sure you update the plugins as well in newspaper 7
IF you still get this error, please also try to disable all plugins except visual composer and clear all caches.

Update!

Nevermind. Deleted the theme and reinstalled it. Fixed the problem.

Now the problem is that my Facebook fans counter on the plugin stays 0, while Twitter and YouTube subs are up to date.

Hi,

Thanks for the nice theme. I have installed the demo theme and also activated mobile theme.

I found few issues/requirements.

1. I see that the theme doesn’t have infinite loading for individual posts. I mean after reading a post, the next post should load automatically. Im just thinking if there is any tweak or do you have plans to add this feature anytime soon?

2. In mobile theme, menu doesn’t reflect properly. In desktop theme, all the top menu has sub menus. However, in mobile theme, news, fashion, lifestyle and video menus don’t have sub menus and also when I click on it, they are leading no where.

3. I’m trying to have social login feature, with gmail and facebook to login to the website and/or commenting. Can you suggest a way?

Hi,

I recently installed the Newspaper theme on a brand new WordPress installation. Once downloaded, I installed the Black Version demo and received this error:

“Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_convert_encoding() in /home/procrastinate/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_video_playlist_render.php on line 164”

I don’t have any plugins installed aside from the default ones and Visual Composer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Today i decide to use your Video Theme Demo only setting without content for my old site..
But i also interested to your Black Theme Version Demo..
my Question, is there any way to Install Video Theme Demo but with Black Colour version??
In other words i want Black version in my Newspaper 7 Video Theme, how to do that??
Black Colour style in Video Theme is awesome for me..

Visual Composer isn't working - topic

We are using WordPress 4.5.2 with your Newspaper Theme, when trying to edit a page with Visual Composer, this seems to never stop loading.

With an inspector it shows this errors:

JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 1.4.0
post.php:2
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 1
backend.min.js?ver=4.9.2:6 Uncaught TypeError: $template.get is not a function

We are also using, YOAST SEO but even when deactivated, Visual Composer doesn’t work.

I have a problem. I installed Newspaper theme in my multisite. While two of my sites in the multisites are running in full layout one is on boxed layout. How can I change this one also to full layout? Please help.

When I inspect the elements in my browser it shows:

I am fresh install the newspaper v7 theme via ftp. I am running responsive theme, mobile theme is not install. From desktop view, the website is running well, but there is a bug appear on mobile device. There is fatal error and webpage unable to load.

Fatal error

While i check from file manager ,the mentioned file is exist. I wonder what is happen and how to solve it ? cpanel

When I try to install a google map plugin there is a JavaScript error. I can’t see the map, here are the links to the error:

Installing Plugin: Visual Composer Issue - reply

Hi

This error usually appear when the destination folder for the plugin already exist in wordpress. Try to login on your site via ftp and navigate to your-wp-install/wp-content/plugins and delete js_composer folder then try to upload the plugin again from your dashboard. You can also try to directly upload plugin’s files in wordpress via ftp. To do that follow this steps:
– locate js_composer.zip file in Newspaper-tf folder then unzip it on your computer
– upload js_composer folder in your-wp-install/wp-content/plugins folder
– go to your dashboard and try to activate the plugin

Installing Plugin: Visual Composer Issue - topic

I’m trying to install the demo on this Newspaper theme and in order to do that it’s asking me to install the Visual Composer, But when I install the Visual Composer as instructed it gives the error message:
It said:

The plugin does not have a valid header.

Downloading install package from http://www.investment.id/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/plugins/js_composer.zip…

Unpacking the package…

Installing the plugin…

Destination folder already exists. /home/invadm/public_html/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/

Plugin install failed.

Please advise to resolve this.

1. I see “latest articles”. Is it possibile to know where to translate this in my language (italian)?
2. Is it possibile, instead of the featured articles, to put a grid block, just like my desktop homepage?

Missed the second issue,
Your version of visual composer is too old to work properly with version 4.5 of wordpress. Please update your visual composer plugin by disabling and deleting the current installed plugin files and install the new version from the theme panel here: http://screencast.com/t/YXbwFSVR
