Hello Chris
Newsmag is the first theme and only theme that i use for this website, the posts that the screen shows all create and published after I installed Newsmag, so still i have to regenerate the thumbnails? thank you very much for your reply.
My site crash after activate the theme and Visual Composer. 503 error show up. I encountered the same issue as I installed a similar theme with VC previously but was fixed by its author as following:
“How many posts, categories, tags do you have? One of the features Goliath has is filtering post block content by tags. In some cases where shops have many thousands of tags, these all get read into memory until it runs out. You can try to disable this by doing the following:
edit theme/vc_content_blocks.php and replace this:
$post_tax_tags = get_terms(‘post_tag’);
$post_tags = array(” => ”); //blank entry
foreach($post_tax_tags as $pt)
{
$post_tags[$pt->slug] = $pt->slug;
}
with this
$post_tags = array(” => ”); //blank entry
/* $post_tax_tags = get_terms(‘post_tag’);
foreach($post_tax_tags as $pt)
{
$post_tags[$pt->slug] = $pt->slug;
} */
You have 10k+ tags, so I’m 100% that it can fix the memory and speed issues you’re having.
”
I wonder if you can apply it to your theme?
Alex
Just purchased and installed. LOVE the theme – great work! However, I can’t see any shortcodes for quotes. The dropdown has a handful of short codes and that’s it. Please help. Here’s a screen capture: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gadolb723ufys6v/Screen%20Shot%202016-02-13%20at%205.31.34%20PM.png?dl=0
Hi, I found this error when i try to install demo
Ajax error. Cannot connect to server, it may be due to a misconfiguration on the server.
I have few other blogs hosted on the same server. Had no problem while installing them.
I had installed Newspaper theme on the blog I am referring to. I deleted the complete theme folder, and tried installing it again, and that’s when this problem is coming up.
What could be the possible reason for it.
This is my Website: Nerdope.com
You can check what I mean. I installed the Tech Demo and it’s all showing like that.
Please help.
Check with your hosting provider as to where the error log is.
I’ve been using the theme for over 2 years, and other themes.
500 error means site crashed on ping/visit — could be overload — did you assign enough memory to your install?
If you get the error once a momth or on WordPress or theme update — THAT is normal.
If you’re getting it multiple times a week, then you have an issue with your hosting, WP setup, or plugins, etc.
Well, if Google tries to ping your site while updating, the site gives a 500 error since it’s not working … so it logs it as such. Doesn’t mean your site is broken. Just click “fixed” and move on. Common issue with all WP themes/installs. Not theme specific.
Well .. again (sigh) .. .a clean install of WordPress would solve that.
if you DELETE the wp-includes folder and install a new copy then that solves that, right?
Simply go to WordPress.org and DOWNLOAD the zip file for WordPress … follow the upgrade instructions on WordPress.org to upgrade via FTP.
If you learn to use FTP, you can see all your files and directories, and you can easily delete both the wp-includes and wp-admin folders, and upload fresh ones from the zip file for WordPress. And then over-write the other “root” files from the install zip (it won’t over write the wp-config.php file as there isn’t one in the installer).
So, unless you actually do what I suggested which is a clean install of WordPress, not much else I can say on this topic.
Hello Sandman,
This issue maybe comes from incompatibility between untested plugins and our theme. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the message!
Hello Fred-B,
First of all, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. After this advice, check your website again and if your problem is still there, please provide your website URL so I can further inspect the issue.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the message!
Hello adarsh,
This kind of issue is surely plugin related. Please try to disable all the active plugin, except Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for thme message!
Good morning,
today i noticed that the pagination is shown in one category. I already have installed it in subdomain, where i done my tests and there it works fine after i copied the modified files. The installed plugins are the same in subdomain and domain. I also have installed the W3 Total Cache and the option ’empty all caches’ is inactive.
Please, have you any idea to solve the issue?
Thank you!
Hello,
Maybe your pagination problem comes from a conflicting plugin. Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear your cache and reset cdn if you use it. Then test your pagination again.
If the problem persists, you will have to test the theme in it’s default state. Please create a sub-domain and create a fresh install of the theme (latest version).
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
After installation:
When I check live Preview all the images in posts & below-related posts thumbnails shows perfectly.
But After Save and Activate the theme. The images are showing in white. (If we right-click on the white area, we can open image in new tab or window perfectly). I installed Regenerate Thumbnails nothing use. How to overcome with the issue.
Images are shown below:

Hi,
I don’t know if you got my last post here – I have got the latest version of the team (6.6.5). I have also got the lastet update of the social counter installed.
The other social networks are working fine.
Its just Facebook and Youtube not working.
I followed your instructions on both links and it still not working.
Also, like I asked previosly, Is there a way to re-arrange the social counter buttons instead of the default arrangement?
I have just seen that Microsoft Edge is doing fine but the Firefox isn’t and I was working on the MS explorer earlier on when I noticed, also not responsive header.
I have a site http://2imsa.be which is Dutch and is has the newspaper theme without any demo installed.
http://2imsa.be/news is a copy of it but with the “Car demo” installed without the data and in English.
Both of them are new clean installations, only Akismet and Hello Dolly came with the installation but not activated.
Only WP Bakery Visual Composer and Revolution slider are activated.
Could you look at it in different browsers
The picture is not showing the same
I saw other issues about it in the forum
Hi, you can just upload the theme files via FTP which is the best way to do that.
There is no infection in the TagDiv booster and Newspaper theme. So, installing clean version of that is best way.
The simple way to do it is this:
deactivate all plugins, then via FTP, delete the booster plugin in wp-content/plugins/
delete the newspaper theme folder in wp-content/themes
upload fresh copy via FTP of the Newspaper folder to wp-content/themes
As far as infection — I had suggested also doing clean install of WORDPRESS, which is always a good idea if you know you were hacked.
You can often hire somebody to do all this for you if you don’t know how.
Hi again Chris.
I spoke with my hosting company, and they said they’d found infected files in my Tracking Code Manager plugin, WP Booster, and the Newspaper theme itself.
I was told to delete then reinstall these files; I’ve deleted the TCM plugin which was easy enough, but I’m struggling with the WPB one (I thought that was some coding within the theme itself?)
I’m also not sure about how to reinstall the main theme (which I did buy legitimately! From ThemeForest).
Can you help out?
I have a style 10 with full logo 1920×287, the same size used but less in height in the “Car demo”.
I did put a copy of the site elsewhere and I loaded the Car demo replacing the Car logo with mine and it works fine.
Although when I install only the car demo without the content, the logo is not responsive.
Could it be that there is some CSS loaed with the full demo which isn’t there when using the theme staight
Hello,
I have newspaper theme v6.5 installed on my website.
URL – https://www.naukrinama.com/hi/
Category page URL – https://www.naukrinama.com/hi/sarkari-naukri/
I have enabled the Infinite Load / Infinite Load with Load More option in the backend, but it is not showing up on the front end.
I have tried clearing the cache but the issue is not resolved.
I can see an error in console in theme where an uncaught reference to a jQuery is found, but I am unable to resolve it.
When i change the setting to pagination it works well, but infinite load doesn’t.
Please let me know how to get it resolved.
Hi Team,
We are having issues with the footer. see this http://screencast.com/t/yt8MoH0C
It looks good in home page but on every posts, the footer background is not full width.
I already tried deactivating plugins, install and uninstall the child theme but still not working.
The site is Travel 2 Next Its in development stage yet and we are about to go live Friday.
Hopefully you can help us resolve this.
Thanks!
Hello,
any kind of pagination in categories doesn’t work. I read similar posts and i downloaded the latest version of the template from themeforest. I check the files, which are modified (td_page_generator.php, tagdiv_theme.js, tagdiv_theme.min.js, style.css) and i didn’t see any change. I compared them with CodeCompare.
I have done modifications in the core files of the theme, so i am not able to unistall and reinstall it.
Please, could you inform me which files have been modified in order to replace them?
Thank you in advance.
Hi
That file is not available in WordPress editor. You have to edit it manually on your computer, apply the indicated changes then upload it via ftp in same exact folder.
Before making any changes make sure you do a full backup to your current wp-install and the database. In case something goes wrong you can always get back to the previous version.
If this is not what you mean please provide more details.
Thanks!
Hello,
Unfortunately this can only be done by hard-coding it. There is another solution if you want, you can have 2 versions of the site by creating a sub-domain. These are basically 2 sites that have the theme installed and you simply redirect links between them. It will not be so easy to do though.
You can search for different plugins that can change the menu.
The coding method is far more complicated as it will involve hard-coding the option. You can follow this topic to see how registering a new menu can be done: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/conditional-logic-for-menu/ This is for having different menus for different users. However it will not be so easy to adapt it to your preference so I suggest you hire someone to help out in this case.
Thank you!
You may have a DNS redirect hack; not theme related.
Make sure you *DISABLLE* any other mobile plugins like Jetpack mobile, or anything like WP-Touch.
In fact, REMOVE any plugins you don’t actually use! Remove old themes you tried but no longer use.
Check your htaccess file for malicious redirect code; resave your permalinks in WordPress.
Make sure you have full back up of your site also.
Also try doing things like running a page speed check at gtmetrix.com to see if anything funky being loaded on pages you don’t recognize; check the page source of a post on your site where you have a redirection.
Check your Google Webmaster tool tab for “malware detected” — as Google will check this too!
Pre-emptively, you may wish to to a clean install of WP, by over-writing all the WP files in root (make back up of your wp-config.php out of paranoia); delete and replace the wp-includes, deleted and replace wp-admin folders.
MAKE SURE you have a legal download copy of theme from ThemeForest and not something you “found on the web” also! (Ahem, which of course you didn’t do, but one person I’ve seen DID and that was very much a DUH moment for him!).
