No theme can help you optimize your hosting, or web server setup. No theme can optimize the content you’re uploading automatically. No theme can customize the settings needed for your htaccess or nginx config file. These are things YOU need to do in optimizing your or any WordPress-based website.

Just like the demo shows an example of how your site might look, YOU still have to configure it to your needs.

A theme is only a set of content styles running on top of your WordPress install, which is running on top of your domain account, which is running on top of the web server setup.

You should contact the theme developer for any refund issues.

You may want to hire a WordPress developer if many of the elements of managing a WordPress site are new to you. You should definitely explore how PageSpeed works for a better understanding of what is involved, as you will need to optimize your system with *any* theme you choose to use.

hi,
I have found this class on some elements on your site: arevicofancy-overlay. we don’t have something like this in our theme.

please disable all plugins and try again. for W3 Total Chase please be sure to delete it because we had issue where we disable it and it was still active.

if you don’t want to modify your live site, try installing the theme on your computer and do this test to find out witch plugin add the extra css code, then remove it from the live site.

can you tell me more about compressing thumbs?
Let’s say you have one image and have uploaded it to server. Once you select it as a featured image, the theme generates 3 images. For big slide, category slider, and for the post itself. Now are you telling me that all these images can be compressed via functions.php or a plugin? I can’t say I love installing plugins, and just because of that I thought I could get at ftp once in a while in order to download images and reupload them after compressing. But I’d like to hear more about that php line you mentioned or plugins you have experienced.

Simply reinstall the theme 🙂

try uninstalling all plugins, and see if the counter works, if it works enable the plugins one by one to see witch one breaks the counter.

if you are using W3 Total Cache, my advice is top remove it completely, since we had situation when it remain enabled even if we disable it.

I can see, everyone are having the same problem, could you show us the correct solution?

Bootstrap is part of the theme, it won’t work without bootstrap.

Font awesome is used for all the icons like up-arrows, home page icon in menu bar, etc.

You could likely edit the functions.php file to remove loading of fontawesome, but then no icons would work on your site.

Marius might have better answer; I’m just visiting to check on issues with new version before I install 🙂

not sure why it matters the plugin is in two places; perhaps one is for the automated install and another is for manual install?

Why does that need to be sorted ?

The zip files are for install … it still needs to be extracted and placed into the actual /wp-content/plugins/ folder one way or another.

You have to delete that old plugin and then installed “js_composer” from the plugin folder in the download files and after reactivate the VC in your admin panel to get the new version.

Easy to find in the changelog once you download it …

Thanks for the prompt response!

I’ve tried both these methods from the Themeforest download window:
– All files & documentation > unzip and install Newspaper.zip
– Installable WordPress file only

Both methods resolve the same error. I’m running a fresh install of WordPress 3.9.1.

The post views were not being tracked until Newspaper was installed, therefore it is only showing the views since it was installed.

The views are stored in the Custom Fields for each post. If you know what they should be then you can edit them to reflect views from before the theme installation.

However it did work once I deleted 3.3 and uploaded 3.8.1 again and installed and activated the plugin 😀

@Radu I installed the visual composer plugin but it didn’t work
