Hello,
i have installed the child theme and had selected in the theme panel under categories => article display view “module 10”. I also selected my own sidebar. When I look at the generated page, I still see module 1. I also see the default sidebar.
But if I delete the category.php in the child theme, I see module 10.
The category.php in the child theme is exactly the same as in the original theme.
Do you have an idea what the problem could be or what I have to set to make it display correctly?

Hi,
You can use tagDiv Cloud Library and import from there pages/sections templates for podcast posts and pages, in this way you’ll not need to install the demo and keep Newspaper pro demo, also you’ll achieve the same layout.
The cloud templates are editable using tagDiv Composer so you can change the layout and adjust it.

I think you misunderstood.
I have Newspaper running on a Multisite and the icon font “Newspaper” does not display correctly on subsites (works fine on the mainsite)
Acutally the sign showing instead of the icons is the sign that shows when a font is not found. Maybe I have to install this font somewhere else? If yes how and where?

Thanks but my problem isn’t with the installation. It’s getting the thing to work with new blogs. My website has been set up using the Politics template and this rotates headlines for the blogs that came with the template. But when I add new blogs, they’re not being picked up by the slider. Do you have any video guides for how to add new blogs and images to a Slider so they show on the home page??

When some pages do not appear on mobile is because you are using the mobile theme plugin -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
If you are using the mobile theme plugin, you’ll gain a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)

Hello! I’m new with using this theme and this my first topic. The install was good, but I have 3 remaining problems now.
1. After editing the sub-footer in the theme panel, nothing happens. It keeps on being the same and the text ”© Copyright – Newspaper by TagDiv” is still here.
2. My website (badboyz.fr) looks broke on Microsoft Edge (even after deleting the browser cache). The homepage doesn’t look good. However, it’s perfect on Chrome!
3. Right now, my shop page form my e-books looks very ugly. How can I change this?

Hi, even with the latest 10.3.3 versions and below with WPBakery 6.1/6.2, editing PAGES with the TD COMPOSER produces various type of errors. We have only TagDiv plugins activates with WPBakery. Nothing else.

After installing the jQuery theme, stop loading the image on lazy loading. Pagination does not work and breaks much more functions.

@Wanjiku17, thank you for the feedback. I have finally been able to install mine too. I contacted host again but it seems that they did not upgrade PHP properly initially. Now on PHP 7.4.5, and downloaded the newest version of Newspaper.

I’ve been trying to optimizing my page speeds to align with Google’s Page Insight score, and I’ve been running into a few issues. I only use WP Super Cache, as recommended, but by doing this, my Page Insight score was only 84. After installing Autoptimize and Asset Cleanup, my Insights score improved from 84 to 97.
However,it now seems like many functions on my website are broken. For example, on mobile, the header now shows as the “Baby Pro” template header that I’m using for desktop view, instead of the correct mobile header. Also, when clicking on different pages (such as the About or Contact page) it will briefly show a broken login page before showing the correct version of the page.
It seems a bit ridiculous that I have to sacrifice page speed scores in order for this theme to function properly. Is there any workaround for this, besides disabling the Autoptimize and asset cleanup plugin? How can I optimize my page speed scores without these plugins?

The problem seems solved after i install and activate tagDiv Mobile Theme in my wordpress.
@kevindahari2 did your host definitely upgrade your PHP? My site is now up and running and here’s what I did.
1) I double checked that my PHP had indeed been increased as stated. Turns out mine was downgraded to 5.6 (it is usually 7) and was told it was 7.2. I made the change manually to 7.2 via my control panel.
2) I cleared the cache
3) I then deleted and re-installed the new version of Newspaper (as per the email update).
That seemed to fix it and it has been working for an hour or so. Your messages were exactly the same as the ones I received initially – Ajax error followed by critical error (which only went away when the tagDiv plugins were removed).
@Wanjiku17 I tried installing on a different hosting account too, getting the same issues.
