I’m contacting you because i have an issue with the tagdiv social counter, the counts does not update anymore.
I tried to disable and enable the plugin, i also tried to delete and re-install the plugin. But i still have the same issue with fixed count (of course the counts are not fixed in the tagdiv settings).
It’s the same issue for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.

So I’m suggesting to make a full backup and update the theme to 5.4.3 make sure that you remove all no WordPress files, check the plugin using FTP and remove all plugins directories that are on your WordPress install and are not displaying on WordPress dashboard plugins.

Hi socalemc, as simchris mentioned, the theme should work with no problems with all php under 8.3, so all php version from 8, 8,1 and 8,2 should be working with Newsmag.
What I can suggest is to make a test install were to have only the fresh theme from the themeforest and see if the problem persist.

Hi just to follow up, the plug-in is actually crashing the site. It was working for about an hour but then the homepage (where it lives) crashed, and went blank. When I deactivated the social counter the page worked again. I then deleted the plug-in, re-installed, and same thing happened. When it’s activated the homepage goes blank. Any ideas? Thanks!

Before installing any demo from the theme, maybe you have some posts and images (this is what I mean by your content). After installing a demo with content, you will get the demo’s content and your initial content. In case you want to change the demo with another one and install a new demo with content, then the content from the previous demo will be overwritten, and you will get the current demo’s content and your initial content.
If you install a demo without content, then you will get the design of the demo with your content. So, you do not have to worry if you install the demo without content.

We have a news website running the Newspaper theme. It features many photo galleries using shortcodes like this:

We’re in the process of launching another non-news website––this one not running the Newspaper theme––and would like to export some of the photo galleries from to the non-news site. The easiest way to do this would be to use the same tagDiv photo gallery software and call the galleries using the same shortcodes.
Is it possible to install the TagDiv photo gallery software on a site not running the Newspaper theme? If so, what tagDiv plugin would I install? And is there a best practices for exporting photo galleries from one site to another?

I’m not a technical person. I’m a strong user of systems and platforms but I have limitations. Building businesses through marketing and sales are my strengths.
I’m eager to get this new website ready for launch but the statement about content loss is concerning. Particularly since this website will be a daily newspaper focused on small business news and How-To-Articles and the site will produce a tremendous amount of content. With this said I am still having an issue understanding what you mean…
“install a demo with content, then you will lose the previous content and not your articles”.
What previous content, is this demo articles and the images? I am starting anew with no previous website, a brand new domain, and there’s been no previous content. The demo I’ve installed and intend on using is “Talk Town”.
I don’t intend to use the demo content, other than a reference to begin building my site; a visual aid. I intend to recategorize the menu items, recategorize the catagories e.g. lifestyle, weather, etc., and create new articles with new images. Once I’ve populated the website with my own content my plan was to just delete the articles the came with the demo.
My concern, based on the notice in the instructions and now your quoted comment above, is that by “using the demo” content the changes I would make to the menu, and the new content I create and add to the website could be erased upon an uninstall.
If I make changes to the demo menu, can I make these changes without risk of loss sometime later through an uninstall?
And by creating new content as described in the preceding paragraphs, are the added new content and images going to be at jeopardy of loss?
As previously mentioned the website will be backed up daily.

The site now loads very slowly and sometimes does not even load at all. This is a general problem on the page. Just browse through it a little to see it. I have a relatively large installation of wordpress where I have over 200k posts.
The SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS results in slow page loads and is called multiple times on every page.
Is it possible to avoid the use of it somehow? I don’t think that I would need it on my elements where I showcase specific categories, I can use a load more button or something like this but it still calls SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS query.
Is it possible to set the SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS to (‘no_found_rows’,true) and skip this 1-1.5 sec delay?
Please help and answer my question, I don’t need any ideas on speeding the site, it has caching, it has everything needed, it is more than powerful – the problem is that this query is slowing things down (my DB is fast, it is on SSD and indexed properly).

3. Format need to be MP4, File size for embedded video should ideally be 500KB, as the ideal page size from Google’s standpoint is <1MB. File size of 1-2MB is acceptable.
Video duration should be no longer than 25 seconds.
