One conflict with an existing plugin and Gutenberg and mobile theme
Hi, @gumball44
Use this code for the main theme (This will not work with the mobile theme plugin)
// Preload Newspaper fonts for responsive theme (main theme)
function dns_prefetch_responsive() {
echo "<link href='https://lowtechnation.com/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/images/icons/newspaper.woff?19' rel='preload' as='font' type='font/woff' crossorigin>";
}
add_action( 'wp_head', 'dns_prefetch_responsive', 0 );
I Hope, you will find this helpful.
My mobile version of the site is not showing anything other than Latest Articles but I do not have this set to only show a reader. When I review the site on a desktop and resize to mobile version it is displaying exactly as I wish it too, but on a real mobile it is showing a reader layout with no homepage content. How can it format for mobile on screen but not on a real phone.
Please review the site on laptop and mobile to see the issue (reduce screen width to mobile version on a desktop and you see the page as it is supposed to look on mobile then try it on a mobile and you get a poorer result.

On the new mobile pages: Some content is not correctly imported – why is that so?
And, what happens now? Re-create it? Dies that mean I lose stuff on the desktop version?
I have copied all content from my start page into mobile. But now Header and Footer for Mobile Pages are lost.
What now?
Hello !
First of all please try deactivating the plugins except tagdiv but deactivate the mobile theme and see if the responsive version shows up on mobile.
If everything works ok then you can try and re-create your templates for the mobile view and it should work.
Let us know the result !
Thank you !

Hello !
You cannot edit the Mobile Theme plugin. You can however now choose to design your mobile viewport templates as you can see here: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
Also follow this topic for more information about the new mobile templates: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-themes-cloud-library-v10-3-7-update/
Thank you !
Hello !
Unfortunately on mobile theme you cannot have the social counter. Find out more about it here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thank you !
Hi, thank you. Will try that now and see how it goes.
I have another query though about my mobile theme not working. Can I ask it here or do I need to create another forum?
Hi,
I think that the problem is that you have set the “Redirect mobile visitors to AMP” -> https://i.imgur.com/RJMoVtE.png if you have this option enable, please disable it, then the mobile version will no longer be redirect to amp version.
Let me know the results!
Hi,
If you want to have the same design as on desktop, the you need to disable the mobile theme plugin, or set it only for amp -> https://i.imgur.com/fpoFrsA.png and make sure that this option is disable -> https://i.imgur.com/HW7QGdl.png
In this way you’ll have the responsive version. Also if you have Newspaper v10.3.7 then you can create a different content for mobile using tagDiv Composer -> https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
Thank you!
In our project I selected “Create Mobile Page” on the start page and created one. It has so many errors that I deleted the Mobile Page, but unfortunately the website still shows me the view created in the Mobile Page template ….
The mobile view on the website is now a disaster 🙁
How can I fix the problem quickly?
Thanks Calin,
Your an absolute hero! The gallery is now working and this has fixed the issues above.
However, this has led to a few other problems…
Every page now works perfectly, although the gallery page that I have altered now has a different footer and the menu is coloured differently. The menu also seems to be glitched and repeats certain page options.I’ve tried going through the theme panel but as far as I can see, everything seems to be in order.
If you go to this address you can see what I am talking about and compare it to the other pages which are working optimally:

Lastly, I’ve recently got some messages from my team members (who are using Chrome & Firefox (Developer Addition)) that are seeing the mobile version of the site rather than our desktop version while on their desktops. I’m using firefox (standard version) and see the site completly fine. Do you know why this is occuring or how to fix this issue?
Once again, thank you for all your help! This has honestly been the best support service I’ve ever recieved!
All the best,
Greg

Hi Vlad!
I made a mistake when describing the problem, the issue is not that I don’t have a responsive version, is that after I chose to create a Mobile Page of my Home Page, even after deleting it all the changes that I did to my Home Page are now lost and I would want to know if there’s a way to rollback it, to make it equal as the other ones (for example the header/footer on post pages, see link: https://streamable.com/ofp1x8), because on the past it was like that and it lost its format after I clicked on the Mobile Page.
And btw since I’m here, you maybe asking yourself “why he is trying to rollback, if the header or footer lost its previous configuration he just have to configure it back again in responsive mode”, but that’s another problem, my responsive mode is not working as showed here (https://streamable.com/3mum2c)
So with that in mind, do you have any tips on how to solve this responsive mode issue, cause the lack of configuration could be easily fixed if I have access to this mode again…
Hi mouthing off magazine,
I think that you are using the redirect to amp option for mobile version -> https://i.imgur.com/kdfRG8P.png therefore all the mobile users will be redirected to amp version that is using right now the mobile theme plugin.
For the last problem you can use the responsive version -> https://i.imgur.com/HQc9RcE.png, but you need to know that if you are using the “Redirect mobile visitors to AMP” this will not work.
Thank you!
Hi,
That code need to be set in functions.php, if you are using the mobile theme plugin, then the code need to be set in the file from this path -> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/functions.php
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
