Hello,
In order to show a custom post type in the standard category taxonomy you will need to create a custom category page template using the cloud library plugin and create content block that can show other post types besides the standard ‘post’.
Please read this guide to learn how a block can show other post types: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Thank you!
Yes! I always use chrome inspector to make style changes in WordPress. But remember the code might not work if, for example, you switch to cloud templates (the single post templates have, or allow you to insert, a WordPress comment box with similar fonts styling to those in the theme panel) https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/.
Hi,
First you can check our documentation for newspaper ( https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-documentation/ ) there you can learn a lot on how to create your blog/wesite.
And yes you can create or chose a new template for post, page, author, 404 page, etc. ( https://www.screencast.com/t/KJkLmZf0B ), and you can change it wen you like it,
for this you’ll need to install an plugin tagDiv cloud library, after installation activate it, click on it and click on add new ( https://www.screencast.com/t/yVQrWUQF )
then will appear a window with many templates (), they have suggestive title; chose anything you like, click on it ( there you can preview to see if you really like it ),
if you like it click on create template ( https://www.screencast.com/t/ku5O7ef0w1S you edit it if you like then save it and use it very time you like it) , if you don’t like any of them you can create your own template search
for the Blank template ( https://www.screencast.com/t/UCrhvPhEmM ) .
You can have the same template on all of your post from Newspaper > Theme panel > Post settings > Default post template ( https://www.screencast.com/t/KHA2mywY4U )
or individual template on post, go on the post section, select the one you wish to set a different template,
and at the bottom of page you will find Post Settings > General > Post template ( https://www.screencast.com/t/BLxfDM0Af60x )
Also you can check your documentation for page ( https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/ ), post ( https://forum.tagdiv.com/post-templates-2/ )
Please lets us know if you have more questions.
Thank you.
Hi,
1. You can use Visual composer, or the tagDiv composer. We recommend the tagDiv composer however. Our front-end builder has a considerable amount of options, elements, multi-purpose features etc.
Also in combination with the Cloud library plugin it can be used to design/import beautiful templates (for post pages, category pages etc)
All of these are not possible with Visual composer in the theme.
2. Could be the most common mistake, maybe you are not uploading the image in full size. For example as a footer background
– https://www.screencast.com/t/IXxn8rfOkA
– https://www.screencast.com/t/L5jPISPd
3. Can’t say about social login, I have no information about the status or progress made in this matter. At some point it may be available.
Please let us know of you have more questions.
Thanks
Hello jalewa,
Try to use the Cloud Template Library to create your own custom Category Template using the TD Composer. Please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/ Using this way, the theme functionality allows you to add some banners everywhere you want at your website, using the Ad Box element.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello heedozz,
Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such an option for this functionality, sorry! The theme has front-end editor for posts if you will use the Cloud Library but this task supposes to use the WordPress functionality. Check the useful guide from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
The predefined post template cannot be edited in any way. They will always look like they are designed to look.
Only the cloud templates can be edited. Check them out, for example cloud single template 7 is based on the template 13 you like
– https://www.screencast.com/t/EcqRmZpSQEk6
Import it and make the modifications you want to it, with the tagDiv composer. It will not be difficult to do it.
Cloud templates once imported will appear in the template selection screen, next top the predefined ones
– https://www.screencast.com/t/EuKWHvsa
We will try to add many more cloud template in the future
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Hello fredy,
Please notice that the sort order of the default category pages is the only setup by latest articles. Another alternative for you would be to use the Cloud Template Library and create a category page with your desired blocks which can be sorted by more options. Check the block settings. -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-block-settings-tutorial/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
You should use the category template and customize the page with TD Composer which allows you to add some ads everywhere you want on your category page. Check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Thanks.
Hi,
We recommend the tagDiv composer, this way you can take advantage of the multipurpose elements, the cloud library plugin and others more
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Use it to create pages, post templates, category templates, author templates etc.
WPBakery can still be used with the theme and it will be provided and updated, just that the new features will not be possible with it. When both composers are active there could also be issues in some cases.
Hi,
With the cloud templates it will be possible. Import a cloud template or create a new one, then place the newsletter element in it
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
The newsletter widget can only be placed with the tagDiv composer. This widget will simply add some style to the form. However most forms have design of their own, so they can be entered in simple text elements as well.
Hello,
You can use VC instead because the theme will work fine with only VC as well. You will not be able to use the cloud library plugin though. The plugin was designed to work through the tagdiv composer and not any other page builder. If you do not need td composer or the cloud library templates, you can use VC as you did before newspaper 9.
Thank you!
Hello,
That element appears on particular category template. Please select a different template from here: https://www.screencast.com/t/071wRppH
If you created the template in the cloud library plugin. You must add the “sibling categories” element to the template in the tagdiv composer.
Thank you!
Do you want to make or edit a post with td composer? Or are you only talking about changing the look (design) of the post? If you mean the latter, you can check out the new tagdiv cloud library plugin https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/ which can be used together with tagdiv composer. Make sure you have disabled wp bakery.
Hi,
That demo uses a footer page. That means that a page is displayed in the footer instead of a predefined template
– https://www.screencast.com/t/O4V5f1gJ0AXr
Now, if you want to keep using a page in the footer but with different content, edit the page and make the modifications you want
– https://www.screencast.com/t/j8SpgEVGm
Or remove the page in question, then the post templates will apply
– https://www.screencast.com/t/3bwnVM7iuHr9
There are 14 predefined footer templates – https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Through the cloud library there are 24 footer pages designed by us (you can modify these as well)
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Thanks
Hi,
Tagdiv Composer was not designed for posts. It works on pages.
But, if you use tagdiv cloud library you can create a custom post template using tagdiv composer and set it for your posts – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/ – https://tagdiv.com/customize-articles-with-single-post-templates/
Thanks!
Hi,
You could do that, but there could be problems. We don’t recommend Visual composer for posts, however some users still do this. You could give it a try if this is required for you, see if there are problems.
Why not use tagDiv composer for both? With the cloud library plugin you can now create post templates. You can have as many as you want and apply them to the posts you want
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Thanks
Hi,
You could create something similar with the tagDiv composer and cloud library plugin
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Currently the cloud library provides 45 beautiful post templates, maybe one of them is similar to it already. Check them out or choose the blank template and begin building the post template with the tagDiv composer
– http://prntscr.com/krksyk
Experiment with the cloud library and composer to create post templates.
Thanks
Hi,
The theme related articles section will always be at the bottom of the post page, only the comments will be below it when enabled.
That is where it is supposed to appear and defined in the post template files
– https://www.screencast.com/t/KFd4EJRg
Maybe modify the location of that code in the template, move it higher and see where it appears then.
Make the modification for the post template you want (Ex: post template 1 – > loop-single-1.php).
For the new cloud post templates everything in the post template can be rearranged with the tagDiv composer.
But for the predefined ones only though template file modifications it will be possible.
Thanks
As you can see in the screenshot, I’ve used tagdiv composer and cloud library plugin and im already editing a single post template, imported from cloud library of yours Simion and im not still able to see breadcrumbs as an element.
Lets please not spend unproductive time on this matter, it has already gone more far than expected.
Hi,
The theme container width is 1068px. A general width setting to chnage this does not exist. There are options to stretch the rows containing the content, for example in pages
– https://www.screencast.com/t/II6LCBDb5w
With the help of the cloud library plugin you can now use the tagDiv composer to design post templates as well
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
So you can import/modify cloud templates or create them from blank. The same stretch settings will be available.
Thanks
Maybe I am misunderstanding. The bottom line is that you have to use the tagDiv composer and cloud library plugin to be able to import post templates.
This is the only way to see the breadcrumbs as an element. With Visual composer this is not possible.
Hello,
Sorry but the authors box cannot show posts. it shows the author name and a few data about the author.
You can however change the content on the author page though. Use the cloud library plugin to change the content shown on the author template. Import a new author template and then use the tagdiv composer to add the content you want to show on that page. Then apply the author template in the theme panel under template settings.
Thank you!
Hi,
Some more details about what exactly are you doing and what is happening would be very helpful. If there is a problem with something we will fix it.
Actual posts cannot be edited with the tagDiv composer, only the post templates can
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Mention as many details as possible so we can try to recreate the problem and resolve it.
Thanks
Hi,
That is a screenshot of a cloud post template, which can be designed with the tagDiv composer and cloud library plugin
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
The old predefined templates cannot be edited with our composer, only the cloud templates. These can easily be imported and modified if needed, or you can start from a blank template and use the elements you want.
