Salutare Nicolai,

http://screencast.com/t/YkPt8zfN

In documentatie gasesti mai multe detalii despre folosirea visual composer https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/ si detalii despre block-uri https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/, precum si multe alte detalii referitoare la tema.

O zi buna.

This was my reply:

Hi,

Please use our theme’s documentation on this how to import/use theme’s demos: https://forum.tagdiv.com/introduction/https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
If you just need to setup the homepage, use the codes and guidance Alin given you on the forum and build the page using the page builder of the Visual Composer plugin. You can find a tutorial on how to use the VC plugin here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/

Not sure what you mean by: “Seems like i have to use a plugin for header and footer scripts?” so please give us more detail on that. You can find more details on how to customize header and footer sections in our docs: https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/http://screencast.com/t/hfWaYdOeu9Srhttps://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/

Please use those docs then let us know if you still need additional informations and give us specific details of what you need/want to do.

If you’re still not familiar with the theme and how to sue it I suggest you setup a testing wp install then import theme’s demo and using theme’s docs go trough its settings. Would help you in your site’s development. We also provide video tutorials on YouTube so my advice is to watch them here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7JSltCqpCI&list=PL6CsDkMaejhrfEuAth6JVYLPmFwFzNFwY

Thanks for the message!

Hi broadstone,

Sorry for delay! We answer to the most oldest topics so if you add new replies we get later to your topic.

The theme comes with some plugins that you can use if you want(you can find them in the /plugins folder from package that you downaload from themeforest), but only the Visual Composer plugin is required for the theme, the rest of them are optional. So please make sure that you install and activate Visual Composer from here – http://screencast.com/t/kndfWQPa so it must solve your code issue on front-end.
If you install the demo with content, it has some predefined articles, pages, menus to help user to make an idea about what they can achieve with the theme and how it works.
Please go through documentation – https://forum.tagdiv.com/wordpress-information/ and also there are available some video tutorials on our youtube channel – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgWqozuqmJk

Hope this helps!

Hi,

Please provide a link so I can inspect this, also try this without any plugins active, leave just Visual Composer active, clear the cache and check if you still have this issue.
Do you use the tagdiv gallery in a page(text block)? We have on our list this issue, it must be customized to be used in a page. It was designed for post content.

Thanks!

Hi dabiathlet,

I have checked this using 4.6.3 version of the theme and Visual Composer 4.4.4, but I did not found any issues regarding “Text with title” block on my side – http://screencast.com/t/89NlCGsxX Also note that I use WordPress 4.3.
Please disable all your plugins, leave only Visual Composer active, clear cache and see if you still have this issue, maybe it is caused by a plugin.

Thanks!

Hello iamkingsleyf,

When you install a demo, it will set the demo’s homepage and content (categories, pages, etc.)
The pages can be configured with visual composer (where you also find the blocks): http://screencast.com/t/HrZ22rwt.
Make sure you access the back-end version of visual composer: http://screencast.com/t/HrZ22rwt
And the you can see and configure the blocks: http://screencast.com/t/zgUXVAvMCVY
We reccomend reading the doccumentation on how to configure your theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
If this is not what you mean, provide us with more details so we can better understand the issue.

Thank you.

Hi,

I also checked this using the version 4 of the theme but I did not found any issues using post limit 5.
Please disable all your plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and create a test page add some blocks and leave the limit by default(5 articles).
Also what version of Visual Composer do you use?

Thanks!

Hi,

Please disable all your plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and purege your files if you use CDN, then check if you still have this issue. Also it could be a host issue, it may block the access to the admin-ajax.php file, please check the browser console for errors while the “save settings” process it running. If this is the case you have to contact the host administrator and inform him about this.

Thanks!

Hi,

I have checked your post again and the counter doesn’t work proper. These errors may cause issues, they are still there. Did you tested without any plugins active except of Visual Composer? Usually these errors are caused by plugins, also please disable any js/css minifications. Try to refresh the page when your are not logged in(in a incognito page) and see if the counter increments.
If the issue persist please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-access so we can take a look, also paste a link to this topic so we can know who you are and what your issue is.

Thanks!

Hi

There is no ideal size for the feature images but in order to fit the thumb container it should have at least the sizes of thumb’s container, because WordPress doesn’t enlarges images. If you already use bigger images and still have issues with them, try to clear all caches purge cdn files also deactivate the plugins, leave just Visual Composer active, and make sure you regenerated the thumbs after theme’s update, then test again.
Let me know how it goes and if the problem persist please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your sites login details and we will inspect this issue, also include a link to this topic.

Thanks!

Hi

You just needed to regenerate thumbs: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Regarding the VC plugin I noticed that the blocks stop appearing after the raw html: http://screencast.com/t/LBKe1OzNDiU so please check if the code you added it’s correct, because seems to affect the plugin functionality. Also you can check the browser’s console fro errors, or try without plugins, leave just Visual Composer active

Thanks

Hi,

I have checked your site and you have some errors in the console – http://screencast.com/t/HNR4L7tm
From what version did you updated? Version 4 of the theme? Please make sure that you update the theme properly using this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ Always make a full backup of your site. Also update the plugins that come with the theme files form the /plugins folder.
If the issue persist please disable all your plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and purge your files if you use CDN. After this disable CDN and all css/js minifications.

Thanks!

Hi

1. I am not sure why this happens, but you can check the the post loop settings to see if you have over 10 articles according with the filter you set. If you can’t manage to solve this issue, please provide a link so I can inspect it closer.

2. Please provide a screen from Visual Composer editor (Classic Mode) with your page layout or you can send the page content form back-end editor so I can duplicate this on my side, use pastebin.com for that.

Thanks!

Hello manoj.yadav,

I think you mean the top menu bar which stretches to 100% of the screen. In order to change this behavior you have to add a background image or color to your website from the theme panel like so: https://forum.tagdiv.com/bg-settings/
You can even set a white background color so nothing would change visually.
the result: http://screencast.com/t/ULvnmc4D

As for the background images, for best graphic results you could use a full hd image (1920x1080px), make sure you compress it, you don’t want a large file, it will slow page loading speed.
You can read more on this subject in this topic here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/background-image-is-driving-me-mad/

Thank you

We are using the Block 11- Popular Stories as part of the visual composer for one of our pages. We use it to show the most popular articles of the week for our site. However, the Block 11 has been pulling in stories from three weeks past and we are just wanting the top stories from the past week. Is there a way to dictate how far back stories can be pulled from?

Hi, an information please

1) At the bottom of the page, at “the latest news” I’ve lost the possibility to see my news in different page each of ten news…there was the possibility to click on numerated pages 1,2,3 and 4… but I don’t see anymore. Why?

2) On my site I see some blank space, but I don’t see unused blocks on my visual composer… why? I only see regular blocks

thank you

Hi,

Please make sure that you use the latest version of Social Counter. To make sure please deactivate and delete it – http://screencast.com/t/IBddMaEHhq and install it from – http://screencast.com/t/nChxmG4W6I I also checked your fb id and it works properly on my side – http://screencast.com/t/jdIKyTgN04http://screencast.com/t/UQrId3Y2Tw
Also check this without any plugins active except of Visual Composer and Social Counter, clear cache and see if you still have this issue. If the issue persist try to add a different id(fb, twitter..) see if the counter works then re-add your id so you will refresh it.
Let me know how it goes!

Thanks!

Hi,

I have checked your site and you have an empty paragraph there – http://screencast.com/t/T2OC34RgIYoL and the theme css for Newsticker is not applying there, this is the css when this block is used on first row – http://screencast.com/t/mpDd8mr6cT
Also you can check this without any plugins active except of Visual Composer and clear cache.

Thanks!

Hi lwweb,

I also have the “The Events Calendar” plugin active on my side but I could not recreate your issue, the event appears on category page as it should.
Please check this without any plugins active except of Visual Composer and Events plugins, clear cache and see if you still have this issue. Also if you use child theme, switch to the main theme and verify this.
If the issue persist please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com so we can take a look(provide more details, the page where you have this issue..), also paste a link to this topic so we can know who you are and what your issue is.

Thanks!

Hi,

Please check this also without any plugins active except of Visual Composer, clear cache and purge you files if you use CDN. Then disable any js/css minification(it may cause some issues) and also the CDN.
Create a test page, add a block with this kind of sort order and see how it goes.
I have checked this again on my side and did not found any issues.

Thanks!

Hi,
I am using the theme’s built in visual composer’s post grid functionality. On the front page, post grid initially displays 15 grids. Displaying additional grids requires clicking “load more” button. Browsers always load all contents includes pictures. This brings the loading speed of the website to a crawl as there are a lot of pictures / posts to load. The pictures and content which are not immediate displayed could be lazy loaded after it is visible to the user. Can this be done with Newsmag or via additional plugins?

Below is the code referring to the posts elements:

<div class="vc_grid-item vc_clearfix vc_col-sm-4 vc_grid-item-zone-c-bottom vc_grid_filter-item vc_visible-item zoomIn animated">...</div>
<div class="vc_grid-item vc_clearfix vc_col-sm-4 vc_grid-item-zone-c-bottom vc_grid_filter-item vc_visible-item zoomIn animated">...</div>
... (additional visible posts)
<div class="vc_grid-item vc_clearfix vc_col-sm-4 vc_grid-item-zone-c-bottom vc_grid_filter-item vc_visible-item zoomIn animated">...</div>
<div class="vc_grid-item vc_clearfix vc_col-sm-4 vc_grid-item-zone-c-bottom vc_grid_filter-item ">...</div>
<div class="vc_grid-item vc_clearfix vc_col-sm-4 vc_grid-item-zone-c-bottom vc_grid_filter-item ">...</div>
... (additional hidden posts)
<div class="vc_grid-item vc_clearfix vc_col-sm-4 vc_grid-item-zone-c-bottom vc_grid_filter-item ">...</div>

Hi Alma, Healthills,

You can chose the grid’s style from big grid settings in Visual Composer: http://screencast.com/t/pZgc5OGXXaB Notice that we added the new grids in version 2.1 of the theme, so make sure you use unless that version, otherwise try to update the theme at the current version available on themeforest which it’s v 2.2. Also check in Visual Composer settings if all blocks are selected: http://screencast.com/t/GkdCIwWZ

Thanks!
