Hi Bogdan,
Since updating to PHP7, Google Webmaster Tools is showing critical errors in AMP (9 pages with critical errors) and Mobile Useability (192 pages with issues). We’re using the standard mobile theme (not TagDiv mobile theme).
My server company WP Engine says it’s a conflict with a plugin. We have narrowed it down and think it’s a conflict with the theme or visual composer or revolution slider.
Can you help please?! I’m going round in circles.
Hello,
I can’t control my Widgets from the dashboard, I have even switched to accessibility mode, it was working for a while, but now it saves my edits, but I can’t see it so I can’t modify it in the future.
Would it break the theme if I unregistered 75% percent of the unused widgets as they are also being used in Visual Composer.
By removing them I might be able to use again the ajax drag and drop version of the widget editor. I use 1024Mb Memory already.
Could you please advice, I couldn”t find them in functions.php? Thank you in advance!
Hi,
At the moment I see you don’t have the mobile plugin activated. A possible solution for the problem you are having is to deactivate all your plugins except Visual composer and the mobile theme, because this could be caused by a plugin or plugin conflict, clear the cache and purge cdn files. Then check to see if the problem is still there. If not go ahead and activate the plugins one at a time to identify the one causing this issue.
Thanks
Hi,
Well if it is in chronological order, meaning sorted by latest posts (blog) a newly published article should appear on top of the list of articles. If you want to use a static page as homepage use this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/ and create your page using Visual composer – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/ Here is a tutorial on the blocks used to create your pages – https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Thanks
Hello dukai1011,
Please notice that our theme is fully compatible with the Rev Slider and until now we do not have any bad reports in this regard. If you are using some untested plugins, you should disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. It is possible that your untested plugins to interact with your theme core files and cause a lot of unknown issues. This can be a reason in this regard. If the problem is still there, try to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way, install only the plugins which come bundled with the theme packet and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
I do not see any problems with your sidebars or footer sections. You can add content to the footer in these locations – https://www.screencast.com/t/KlYPnsPpHMe More information here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/ You can add content to the sidebar the same way if you use a widgetised sidebar – https://www.screencast.com/t/D4fhQlzJF or in Visual composer page structure if you use a split row sidebar – https://www.screencast.com/t/MRwBn0HBDVX
Thanks
Hello tsuba2020,
I recommend you doing a new clean install from scratch via FTP way because this is the surest method in this regard. Also, if you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflcitng pluigns. Check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!

Hello,
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
If this does not fix it, you can try to reinstall the theme as a faulty theme install can also create such an error. Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Thank you!
Hi,
Using Visual composer – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/ you can create your own pages with the elements and the structure you want, and then set a static page as the homepage – https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/ Here is a tutorial about the blocks used to create your pages – https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/ to help you understand their functionality. For example you could create a page with a big grid on top – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/ and latest articles below – https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/ if you would like to keep the blog look.
Thanks
Hi,
I would suggest updating your Visual composer editor to the latest version – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ and check if that fixes the problem. You should also try this after deactivating all the plugins except Visual composer because a plugin could be causing the issue, then clear the cache and purge cdn files.
Thanks
Hi,
I suggest to disable all the plugins except Visual composer, clear the cache and purge cdn files if you use it. Also try to deactivate your child theme to rule that out, and check any custom code you may have added to the theme files. If the problem is no longer there activate the child theme to see if that is causing this. If not, activate the plugins one at a time and check to see the effects. Here is an tutorial if you decide to update the theme to the latest version – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Thanks
Thing is – i havae about page etc – pages. just read they do not auto input into the mobile theme
Page builder elements – The “Mobile theme” is designed for users who want to optimize the page content for mobile devices or they want to display fewer / different elements on mobiles. For optimal performance we removed the page builder (Visual Composer) dependency; this means you cannot use the page builder elements for the “Mobile theme” pages. If you want to display the same elements on both mobile and desktop, don’t use the mobile theme, the main theme is already capable of this with it’s responsive design for mobiles.
this is unfortunate
Hi
Is there any way I could get the youtube player to use the maxresdefault.jpg as poster image instead of hqdefault.jpg when using the visual composer video player module?
Thanks
Hello press15,
I have checked your website and I saw that you are using the mobile theme plugin. If you are using this plugin for mobile viewport, this is normal behavior because the Mobile Theme does not recognize the Visual Composer shortcode.
I suppose that you do not understand very good how mobile theme works, right? So, please notice that this theme concept intend to display a Big Grid feature at the top of homepage which shows the posts which are included in Featured category, then will show a text which you added in Mobile Editor in Visual Composer from backend and at the very bottom of the page you will bring the Latest Articles module. Please keep in mind that the Mobile Theme do not recognize the Visual Composer shortcode and that’s why you did not get the demo style for mobile theme. So, for more information about our mobile theme, please check the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ If you are unhappy with this layout, and if you want to have the similar structure with our demo mobile, you will simply turn off the mobile plugin and the theme will be automatically switched to the general responsive mobile mode.
Thanks for your understanding!
Maybe you have a plugin conflict that is preventing the load more button to work properly. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please check in the post content for these style properties – https://www.screencast.com/t/L41nVY7aBK9E Maybe the style comes from there – https://www.screencast.com/t/wAF6QlYT4l The font seems to be coming from somewhere else then the theme. If that is not the cause, this could also be caused by a plugin, so please try to deactivate all the plugins except Visual composer, clear the cache, purge cdn files and check to see if the problem is still there. Maybe check any custom code you may have entered in the theme panel or added in the theme files as well.
Thanks
Hi,
It seems that you or a plugin is inserting the code in the post excerpt field – https://www.screencast.com/t/pIh5hHMaS The excerpt field should contain a summary of the post content, not for video links, they will be displayed as they are and not interpreted. This could be caused by a plugin since not all plugins are compatible with the theme, so please try to disable all your plugins except Visual composer and check if the problem is still there. Also update your Visual composer plugin to the latest version – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thanks
Hello ffarci,
You should create your Sidebar on pages, using the Visual Composer -> Widgetized Sidebar, like this ->. For more information about how you can use the Visual Composer, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/ -> https://www.screencast.com/t/wfNAHJo7X
Thanks for your understanding!

Hello,
Well since the plugin is not tested, there is no solution we can provide for the async javascript. As a workaround, you can try to disable the theme lazyload animation as that is the first to break on a js error. Your images will appear again but you will have to test other parts of the theme that will not work properly because of the js error the option creates. You will have to check the site and if you encounter any other errors, you should keep in mind that the async option is on and try to disable it if anything else occurs.
As for the news ticker, you can add it on any at all page as it;s a simple element found in the visual composer element list.
If you want to add it on posts, you can do it from the theme code for every post at one. You will have to add this code:
<?php echo do_shortcode ('[td_block_trending_now tdc_css=""]'); ?>
Add the code on each of the post templates that you use (each post style has it’s own file):

Hello cobaltica,
Please keep in mind that you do not use the right version of Visual Composer and that’s why you bring some errors in your console, sorry! You should use the version which comes bundled with the theme packet and wich is Visual Composer 5.0.1. Try to update your plugin via FTP way, remove the old version, clear all your caches, purge all CDN files if you are using the CEDN system and check the results. For more information about how you can update your Visual Composer, please consult our guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello and thank you for your reply!
Like I mentioned in the previous post at point 3, I only had iThemes Security, BackWPup and Visual Composer activated, and I disabled all of them, including Visual Composer, just to see if it might be the problem. So, I checked with all plugins disabled. I don’t use Jetpack (I usually delete it from start), a caching plugin or a CDN at this point, since I just installed WordPress and the theme, and I can’t really move further with the project since I can’t upload images.
Thank you!
Hi,
This could be happening when the complex visual composer elements present on your page, make multiple ajax requests under heavy visitor traffic. You should try to reduce the number of requests, like block pagination, ajax filter etc. from each of the block settings – https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/ Also make sure you have updated Visual composer – along with the theme update. Alternatively this can be caused by a plugin, so you could deactivate all of them if possible, except visual composer and check the results. Here are some guides to help you configure the WP Super Cache plugin – https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ and optimize site speed – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Lastly please make sure the server meets the theme’s requirements – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ Hope this helps and let us know how it goes.
Thanks
