Hi,

1. Yes it really should not show the login section if it’s disabled from the theme panel http://screencast.com/t/yroFZJjOunV
Once I disabled the login on the mobile theme settings it did not show up anymore. You probably have a strong cache enabled so the option was still served from the cache. Please try again and clear cache afterwards.
If you still have issues with the sign-in/join on the m,obile theme please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and rest cdn files. Then test again.

2. If you do not need the login at all on your site, you will have to remove those lines from the code as the theme panel only hides the options but does not remove the code for the login. Please follow this topic to see how you can remove the login tags:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-remove-the-invisible-login-from-bots-view/

Thank you!

As for the second request, please try to only use the specified way of adding an avatar, not any extra plugins. Make sure you clear cache after you set the avatar. If you still have trouble with it, please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can login and check ti out.
Thanks.

Also super important:
a) delete old themes you no longer use!
b) delete plugins not being used or planned to be used.
c) make sure you have full dbase backup, site backup, etc.
d) look in your plugin folder for any weird php files you didn’t put there or included with theme;
e) reset/refresh CDN, clear cache, resave permalinks, clear transients with wp-optimize.

======
consider doing CLEAN install of WordPress and *all* plugins!

Thank you, Bogdan and Chris for the reply.

I use following ad networks or tools for tracking.

1. Google Analytics
2. Tynt
3. Google Adsense
4. Content.ad

Though none of these “redirecting files” are related to these tools or networks but for precautions, I checked by disabling each of these from my site and turned off all ad modules.

Cleared the cache, turned off the CloudFlare after purging everything and also cleared the cache from the server side.

Even after doing all these things. I am still getting these files as the redirect chain.

Though I am aware that Pippio.com is supposed to be a ad network and redirects to https://arbor.io/, Linksynergy redirects to http://marketing.rakuten.com/affiliate-marketing and adbrn.com is http://www.adbrain.com which is also an ad network.

But I have never signed up or used any of these ad networks ever on my site. Also, a simple Google search shows that pippio , linksynergy and adbrn.com are mass reported as malware for computer.

For example: http://www.sitealyzer.net/en/p/sb/remove-p.adbrn.com/
http://www.exterminate-it.com/malpedia/remove-linksynergy-com

I have also scanned my WordPress with Anti-malware plugin and in the result, it shows some files from Visual composer and Contacts form 7 plugin as a potential threat which I hope is a false positive.

Kindly see if you can show me the right direction to look for.

Thank you.

Hi tagdiv,

1] After having updated theme to latest v7.5 , i installed ,activated the Mobile Theme plugin for the theme ..made the appropriate settings & disabled the “show log in” under the mobile options page of theme options..the theme still outputs the “log in menu” on visitor end on the mobile devices…
It shouldnt happen like this ? if the option is disabled it shud not show up in the visitor end ?
I have cleared cache of caching plugins too ,despite that it was showing it..

For now have disabled & removed the Mobile Theme plugin…the plugin is cool & i really want to make it work

2] Also i noticed this weird thing in my google alerts today, the mail link was one of our new tags. but the description which was showed by google below the title of our tag included these lines – “A password will be e-mailed to you.”

I visited that tag link & on checking its source code i found this code –

==============================
<div id=”login-form” class=”white-popup-block mfp-hide mfp-with-anim”>
<div class=”td-login-wrap”>
<i class=”td-icon-modal-back”></i>
<div id=”td-login-div” class=”td-login-form-div td-display-block”>
<div class=”td-login-panel-title”>Sign in</div>
<div class=”td-login-panel-descr”>Welcome! Log into your account</div>
<div class=”td_display_err”></div>
<div class=”td-login-inputs”><input class=”td-login-input” type=”text” name=”login_email” id=”login_email” value=”” required><label>your username</label></div>
<div class=”td-login-inputs”><input class=”td-login-input” type=”password” name=”login_pass” id=”login_pass” value=”” required><label>your password</label></div>
<input type=”button” name=”login_button” id=”login_button” class=”wpb_button btn td-login-button” value=”Login”>
<div class=”td-login-info-text”>Forgot your password? Get help</div>
</div>
<div id=”td-forgot-pass-div” class=”td-login-form-div td-display-none”>
<div class=”td-login-panel-title”>Password recovery</div>
<div class=”td-login-panel-descr”>Recover your password</div>
<div class=”td_display_err”></div>
<div class=”td-login-inputs”><input class=”td-login-input” type=”text” name=”forgot_email” id=”forgot_email” value=”” required><label>your email</label></div>
<input type=”button” name=”forgot_button” id=”forgot_button” class=”wpb_button btn td-login-button” value=”Send My Password”>
<div class=”td-login-info-text”>A password will be e-mailed to you.</div>
</div>
========================

As u can see that 2nd last line ,those words ..exactly what appeared in google alerts..i am wondering why ? bcoz we dont use login system for members..also in theme settings “Show sign in / join” is disabled
And that code is present in all pages, now that i carefully inspected all…

what files do i need to edit so i can totally remove those divs coz never really gonna need that log in stuff,dont wanna cause any security compromise…

Awaiting reply
Regards

Hello,

1. We do not have any reports of any slow down with our theme. We have lots of installs using the current version of the theme and we have no such reports from our users until now, so I think it;s safe to say that it is something on your end that is causing the issue. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test again.
Also make sure you increase your system status parameters like so: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Let us know if you still have trouble with the admin panel

2. This is a wodpress issue that started from the latest update. WordPress will not allow you top delete any theme from the WP dashboard. You will have to use ftp. It’s a wordpress bug, not a theme bug.

Thank you!

Hello songhy,

Please ensure that you have properly installed the theme, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. Make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme which comes bundled ith the latest version of required plugins. If you are using some untested ones, try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer and install only the plugins that come bundled wit the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins. Also, after installing the theme, you should check your system status to have the right value for all parameters in order to achieve best results, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Clear all your caches and check the results.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the message!

Hello soithong,

Make sure if you are suing the latest version of the theme and only the version of Visual Composer which come bundled with the theme packet. I recommend you doing a new clean install from scratch and install only required plugins, clear all your caches and check the results. You should update the theme and the plugins only via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard in order to bring best results. For more information in this regard, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Notice that the Visual Composer is fully tested and compatible with the theme and until now we do not have any bad reports in this regard.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Well if the mobile theme plugin isn’t working, that is not a css issue at all. It does not allow the mobile theme plugin to kick in and css has nothing to do with this. Just one more thing that could affect this. Did you try this method with wp super cache as it;s the only know issue regarding the mobile theme not loading: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-theme-problems-3/ It’s just a thought
Since this is the only report of such activity with cloudflare, we cannot say for sure if that is the actual cause or just an ‘accomplice’. We will investigate and come back with the results if we find anything unusual. We also use cloudlflare on our end but could not see any such issue yet.

Thank you!

Hello,

Please disable all plugins except visual composer clear cache and rest cdn files if you use it. You seem to have a plugin conflict going on that affects the menu. Please also check for any customization and switch to the main theme if you use a child theme to rule out any custom code from there.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.

Hello,

The minify options provided by plugins or most tools do not do the job properly and break the theme js causing the lazyload animation to break and not allowing the images to show up anymore.
Please use cludflare for any minify options https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Ad for the rest of the page speed notificationsL: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
For a cdn we only recommend wp super cache and these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

Thank you!

Hi,
I have successfully solved this issue with previous version of Newspaper and it was working well with Cloudflare even on mobile theme for my site www dot tomatoheart dot com . But with the recent update, I again started facing issues when cloudflare is on

If CloudFlare is under development mode or off, Everything works fine. I saw regular homepage on desktop and expected mobile theme based homepage on mobile ( it looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/XMXRHeG.jpg)

but when I enable the Cloudflare, mobile theme plugin for homepage stops working, and it starts showing the responsive mobile version of the desktop theme ( like this: https://i.imgur.com/hthWfRd.jpg )

Ironically, there is no issue on any other pages or posts except the homepage. I tried various settings under CloudFlare like disabling CSS minification or disabling Rocket loader, but nothing is working.

PS: I have just cleared all the cache. So, you might be getting the expected mobile version on mobile ( https://i.imgur.com/XMXRHeG.jpg) but wait for sometime and this issue will arise again on homepage.

Please help. Thank you.

Hello hadharm,

It seems to be a caching problem. If your caching plugin is too strange it may occur this. Try to clear all your caches, purge CDN files and check the results. First of all, please ensure that you have added your code to the correct section and also, make sure if the style has been successfully added to your panel.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hello morpheusfp,

I have inspected your website and I saw that the color value working fine, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/nJWoIM7aa It seems to be a caching problem. Try to clear all your caches, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system and check the results.

Hello r.schlutter,

In most cases, all of these issues come from untested plugins. I have inspected your source page, and I saw that you are using some untested plugins which can influence the theme behavior and cause a lot of unknown issues. Please try to disable all of them, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. I noticed that you are using the mobile theme and the menu is not working. The theme is fully compatible with the mobile theme and until now we do not have any bad reports in this regard. If you are using the CDN system, you should purge all your files, clear all the caches and server caches and check the results.
If the problem is still there, you should try making a new fresh install from scratch, only with the required plugins and see how it will work.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hello,

Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Also remove any image optimization tools such as photon.
Most images appear fine. Only the ones that are too small do not position properly in the grids. You must make sure you upload images that are big enough to fit in the grids as the theme will not enlarge images. It only crops them.

Thank you!

Hello capitano83,

Please ensure that you have updated your social counter with the latest version of it which come bundled with the theme packet. Clear all your caches and check the results. Notice that the Social Counter is fully tested with Newsmag 3.2 and everything seems to work as properly.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hello Dannyn82,

Please keep in mind that the W3 Total Cache plugin is not tested with our theme and can create a lot of unknown issues, like this. Please try using our recommended caching plugin which is WP Super Cache and check the results.

I’ve added the below css to the custom css section, and the mobile section, however it is never added to the page. The category tags I am trying to hide are still shown. I’ve cleared the host and the browser caches. Can you advise? I’ve added other custom css for desktop and it works fine..

@media
(max-width:767px){
.td-post-category {
display:none;
}
}

The page that I am testing is churchleaders.kinsta.com

Thanks

Hi Catalin,

We have gone through all the plugins as advised, we found that the CDN was the issue, when the CDN was de-activated through W3 Total Cache the site issues went.

How can I reactivate CDN without causing problems ?

Thanks.

Hello faris,

I have inspected your source page of your post and it seems to have an og:image active for this, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/UDhRcTvRdn Also, I have inspected with sharing debugger from Facebook and I get this error -> http://screencast.com/t/6bzIfnvfs Notice that until now we do not have any bad reports in this regard. Try to make a sub-domain for your website, create a new post for testing and check the results. If the problem is still there, please try to make a new fresh and clean install from scratch and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme, rule out any additional customizations made by you, clear all your caches and check the results.

Hello Randykim,

I have checked your website and I saw that you are using the Newspaper 7.4 which is the previous version of the theme. Update it to the latest version of it which is Newspaper 7.5, use only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins. Clear all your caches and check the results. If you are suing the mobile theme, the layout of mobile will look like this -> http://screencast.com/t/wTdiOGvMXu and if you did not like this, you should disable the mobile plugin and theme will be automatically switched to the general responsive mode, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/PEvPTNRDVK2L
For more information about mobile plugin concept, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
