Lots of folks have it turned off, or they are using a cloud provider who expects the end user to manage everything. Some folks have “stuck” to older version as some plugin won’t work with 4.7x. But, WP is the one thing peeps need to always check to see WHY it got updated, not just because it has more spinning logos 😉

Hi. I’ve installed the Mobile Theme Plugin, but homepage mobile not shows the ‘predefined mobile’ page but just the same desktop page, like if no mobile plugin were installed. I’m using WP Super Cache following the instructions at https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/. I’m also using Cloudflare and MaxCDN and, yes, a few plugins.

Thanks.

Hello,

This is a caching issue so please disable any at all caching . contact the host and have them disable any hosting side cache, clear cdn files and temporarily remove the cdn and clear cache from the cache plugin and disable that also. Then only use wp super cache and these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ and if you use a cdn server, https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/

Let us know hot it goes.

Thank you!

Hi there,

I removed all the lines mentioned in the screenshot, double checked, uploaded, double checked. Cleared cache and cloudflare but the author tag still displays on Facebook.

I debugged several different URLS but they all still display the author tag on Facebook. In the previous theme version I only needed to add two “//”

Looking forward hearing from you!

Hello

This could be a hosting issue. Please contact your host and have them disable any hosting side cache as it can cause issues with our theme.
Next, only use wp super cache with these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
If you use a cdn server, then please disable it temporarily or use these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/

Thank you!

Hello mdegnan,

Unfortunately, the WP ‘Tag Cloud’ widget is not tested with our theme and we have no idea about the theme behavior with this type of plugin, sorry! Also, we cannot provide support for untested plugins.
Provide more information about what type of tags you are referring to and also, give me some useful screenshots so I can identify them.

Thanks for the message!

Hi,
I would like to use a tag cloud, and have added the base WP “Tag Cloud” widget to your sidebar using the Configurator. I’d like to adjust the default colors for the tags, but am having trouble identifying the specific CSS elements to adjust (I’m not 100% fluent in CSS). I would also like to have this new color match the Theme Accent color.

Two questions:
1. Could you please share the CSS elements that I need to overwrite with custom CSS?
2. What setting should I use to change the Tag bgcolor to inherit the Theme Accent color?

Thank you,
Michael

Hi,

how can we disable the meta author name for Facebook link sharing with the new theme update? A couple weeks ago I’ve been told.

“Try to comment the author meta line inside Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_wp_booster_functions.php – http://screencast.com/t/Uyy9AS74ULZR”

But it doesn’t seem to work with the latest update.

I added two // on line 577 of my td_wp_booster_functions.php

//echo ’<meta name=”author” content=”’.$td_post_author.’”>’.”\n”;

After I cleared cloudflare/wp cache and debugged my links with the facebook sharing debug tool multiple times. But the author tag is still there.

I tried the previously provided steps that worked with the theme version ~4 weeks ago three times carefully, but no results.

Kind regards!

Hello wisnuwr,

Please keep in mind that issue is not theme related, sorry! Our product has been tested with Cloudflare which should have to be implemented according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/ and also, with WP Super Cache like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Regarding the cache on the server, we can not give any reference because it varies from server to server and is not a problem related to the theme.

Thanks for your understanding!

I’ve reinstalled WordPress once again(I thought that might fix this issue) but still having the same problem
Here is what I’ve done.
1. Uninstalled the WordPress and freshly installed.
2. My website is already linked with the Cloudflare so I unlinked it completely by changing the Nameservers on the Domain Registrar
3. Installed the Newspaper Theme (7.6.1)
4. Registered the Theme, Installed the WP Super Cache Plugin and Change the WP Memory Limit to 256M according to this guide “https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/&#8221; & “https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/&#8221;

http://prntscr.com/e3gi09

http://prntscr.com/e3gwtx

5. Cleared the Cache (WP Super Cache Plugin)
6. Finally when I try to upload the logo and the same thing happened.

Hi Catalin, Thank you. I actually went through the steps to set up cloud flare I believe that helped a bit. I believe the problem is I am on shared hosting. I have a Managed WordPress hosting plan with Go Daddy. I have never has a dedicated server. Also I cannot get those caching plugins because my hosting plan already has a caching feature that comes with it.

Hello,

We have not encountered this issue before but we have not tested cludfront either. For e cdn server we recommend cloudflare https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
If you do not want to switch cdn servers you should take a look at the settings and test to see if there is one that affects the theme settings.

Thank you!

Hey guys,

I’m missing my social media icons (Twitter, Facebook, G+) and Google Fonts when using Cloudfront as my CDN.
Any idea how to solve this issue?

Don’t know if thats normal…
Use cloudflare cdn to reduce server load. Free plan is good.
Use Cloudflare page rule to cache everything of your website including html. (Google how)
Use cloudguard plugin to prevent server resource usage by stopping requests to server from hack bots at login page.
Be advised that plugins such as wordfence use high resources for scanning your website.

I am not using a CDN such as CloudFlare. Is it still advisable to use WP super cache? Or its of no use without CDN?

This is what I did today and it works so far,
I already had the latest theme with Visual Composer v4.9, I deleted the plugin and install the plugin from theme panel to get the latest version of the plugin. Then I clear all the cache including cloudflare and images are showing as expected. I did this before too but not sure why did not work before. I will closely monitor in coming days and will provide additional info if the issue shows up.

If you are still having problems after Bogdan’s suggestions it is, when you preview changes, what you are seeing when the changes isn’t showing is a cached copy from your browsers cache (Chrome, firefox etc), it caches the preview URL for your post. You need to clear your browser’s cache to see the changes. It can also come from your CDN’s cache like Cloudflare, if you are using Cloudflare temporarily place your website in development mode when editing posts to prevent the cache copy from your CDN. You might need to purge the CDN cache first.

Hi,

Rocket loader is recommended to be deactivated as this guide states: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
As for the mobile theme issues using wp super cache, please use this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-theme-problems-3/

Thank you!

Hi Catalin,
Thanks for the answer. Looks like it was related to cloudflare.
