Hello,
Page speed is a very personal thing Optimization has to be doen on your site to achieve better speeds. Please follow this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
1) We use softlayer – http://www.softlayer.com/
2) We do not have retina images enabled on our demo.
3) We do use cdn (cloudflare) and we recommend these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
4) We did not activate the mobile theme plugin on our demo.
5) We do not have speedbooster enabled on the demo.
Thank you!
hello,
We do not recommend using max cdn as it is not tested to work with our theme. We recommend cloudflare and these settings:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
As for caching: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Thank you!
Hello,
Please use these guides:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

Thank you!
My website (https://goo.gl/KDTa52) is alone on VPS and deployed on LEMP. I have used fastcgi for page cache and browser cache.
And for other cache type, I used W3 Total Cache plugin.
Page Cache – Disk Enhanced
Minify – None
Database Cache – Memcache
Object Cache – Memcache
Browser Cache – Disabled
CDN: AWS Cloudfront
Even after all this optimization site load time is more than 5 sec (gtmetrix). What else shall I do to improve site speed?

Well, if you check your page source, for a page like this — you have cocked up something as you have multiple <head></head> sections.
use “view source’ in your web browser for

Hello all,
I have a problem with my backgrond not appearing in desktop for any post. Example:
http://soutaoboa.com/maes-filhas-vinculo-cura-vinculo-fere/
The image is in the post:
<div class="backstretch"><img src="http://soutaoboa.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/maes-filhas-vinculo-cura-vinculo-fere.jpg" /></div>
But the original styles are still being applied:
.td-backstretch {
max-width: none;
opacity: 0;
transition: opacity 2s;
display: block;
}
Since opacity is 0 it’s normal that it won’t appear any image. I assume that there is some javascript that is creating this element and change it if it’s desktop, mobile, and so on… but i didn’t find any information about that in the documentation.
One important things is that this behaviour seems to have appeared after we activated cloudflare and browser cache activated also on cloudflare. It is probably related to it but I need to have browser cache activated…
Can someone please help me here?
Thanks in advance.
Hello Bogdan,
I have cleared cache, disabled all plugins except VC and removed all custom css. However, the issue persists. (I have also checked in different browsers.)
Please take a look at this page in the section “Options you have to enable on CloudFlare’s dashboard”: http://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/ . There are two screenshots – and they both stick out to the right in exactly the same way my images do. There are more examples of this on the same site.
In your release notes for 7.4 you mention a fix for unaligned images. Could it be this fix that is causing this behaviour?
Thanks for your help.
BR, Walther
Hello,
Please check the block settings and make sure you have the proper sorting option in place.
Also check your cache as changes on your site are affected by the cache we only recommend wp super cache and these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ if you use a cdn: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
If the problem is still there, please to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test again.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please disable both wp rocket and rocket loader as they are known to cause issues with our theme. the recommenced cache and cdn settings are these ones: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
If the issue is still there please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.
We have no reports of such issues until now so i think it’s a simple plugin conflict.
Also if you have any custom code added to the theme panel or customization done to the theme files, please also remove them to see if they do not affect the functionality of the theme. if you have a child theme, test the main theme also.
Thank you!
Apologies if this was asked again. I browsed through the forum and did not find anything relevant.
My website automatically scrolls to the top, when someone clicks on any of the arrows that load more articles, at any part of the website. I am not sure when this started, but I assumed this is a javascript related error, firebug (or the chrome developer console) however does not show any error. The only javascript notice I get when examining with chrome’s console is
My caching plugin is wp-rocket while I also use cloudflare. I have disabled javascript minimization on both with no luck. Also note that tag div speed booster is not enabled.
If you need a link to replicate the error, or something was not clear enough, please let me know.
Thanks,
Andreas
Okay, so I just took my site live. It’s hosted on WP Engine and I use the freebie version of Cloudflare. Right now, the load times are between 3-6 seconds. I previously used a Genesis theme with load times at 1 second.
What are some techniques and/or services to speed the site up to get close to where I was at before??
Hi,
The W3TC is not one of the tested plugins so I cannot make any suggestions, we recommend Wp Super Cache with this configuration – https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
For CDN we have tested cloudflare service with this configuration – https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Thanks!
HI
The theme generate a custom js for each block added on the page. You can try to use cdn to minify page’s html and the inline js. Please check our documentation fort m ore details in this regard: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Thanks!
This is the list of the plugins i use on that site:
AdBlock Detector
Limit Login Attempts
Optimus
Quick Adsense
Resize Image After Upload
W3 Total Cache
I have server with 2x Intel Xeon E5 2620 v3, 128 GB DDR4 RAM, 3×500 GB SSD HARDWARE RAID 5. It’s a cPanel server with Cloudlinux and Memcached installed. This server should be able to handle at least 5000 users online at the same time… I also had this problem on 2 other server that i tried last 5 days, so this is not the server related problem.
Most of the time i have more than 1000 user online and it’s working without any problems, average server load is 1.5. But sometimes i have problems when i have only 200 user online, server load goes to high and my website goes offline.
What could be causing this problem?
I have purchased this amazing theme a while ago because I was planning to build a community using Buddypress. However, today I had time to install Buddypress(which is not rocket science) and I discovered that Newspaper is not that compatible with Buddypress.
– It keeps on displaying the default sidebar
(I looked up in the theme panel: Buddypress section, page section and even tried to point out my own sidebar pages individual. I cleaned cache, cloudflare cache and browser cache too)
– Login/Sign up menu option would be useful if it collaborate with Buddypress.
Please advice,
Thanks in advance
Hello apollosk,
If you are using the CDN service and the rocket loader module is active and it could cause issues of the theme functionality. It is specified also in the CloudFlare tutorial – https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Please try to disable it, clear all your caches and purge your CDN files and see how it goes.
Also, you could set the CDN service in development mode(so it will not be active for few hours) or disable it and see if the issue persist. Please disable the Rocket Loader like it is specified in the CloudFlare tutorial, even it is not the cause of this issue, it could create other problems for the theme’s functionality.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi Team
Great theme and great functions, thank-you so much. I’ve had a character encoding issue that I’ve been tying to work out for the last few weeks and just can’t figure it out. The weird characters are not in the database and they’re only appearing when viewed from mobile devices. We’re not posting from Word into the text editor, and I’ve checked (best I can) that all of the character encoding everywhere is utf-8. I’m guessing this isn’t theme specific as thee’s reports of this all over the place for WordPress, but I cannot find any that are specific for mobile devices. The symbols show up in embedded twitter posts also, which makes me think it is on the page rendering side.
I do not have the mobile theme activated as we want the content of the live site to show.
The link is https://ninetyminutesonline.com.
My best guess is some sort of plug-in conflict, but I’m hoping you guys may be able to help. Here’s the list of plug-ins installed:
-Auto Post Thumbnail
-Block Bad Queries
-Category Posts in Custom Menus
-Disqus Comment System
-Envato Market
-Feed Them Social
-Jetpack
-Share Buttons by AddThis
-Shortcodes Ultimate
-Slider Revolution
-Swift Mailer
-tagDiv Social Counter
-tagDiv Speed Booster
-W3 Total Cache
-WP Crontrol
-WP Missed Schedule
-WP reCaptcha Integration
-WPBakey Visual Composer
-Yoast SEO
Big list I know, but I doubt there are many thee that could cause an issue on the rendering side. We’re also running CloudFlare, however the issues existed before we added the CloudFlare configuration.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thx hadharm.
I’m doing this stuff. I’m in changing dns of cloudflare.
Lets see if it helps
Hello;
I have not received any solution to my last question. I’ve made changes in my .htaccess as you comment and now you can well see https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.trebol-apuestas.com%2F&tab= desktop The problem is that there puglins as you can see in “Specify Cache” that have no specified time. These are:
-http: //sumome.com/api/load/ (not specified expiration time)
-http: //my.hellobar.com/9a38405d83b6e120ddd87505ec8bf511b98bb4bf.js
-https: //cdn.syndication.twimg.com/timeline/profile -callback = __ twttr.callbacks.tl_i0_profile_TrebolApuestas_old & dnt = false & domain = http://www.trebol-apuestas.com & lang = en & screen_name = TrebolApuestas & suppress_response_codes = true & t = 1640026 & with_replies = false
-http: //load.sumome.com/ (10 minutes)
http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js
As I can specify cache for these html headers. I already use cloudflare if necessary for this action.
Hello,
I have tested the mobile theme with the latest version of speedbooster (4.5) and it seems to work properly. Please make sure you use the latest version of speedbooster (found in the main theme package) and make sure you disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it.
For cloudflare we only recommend these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/ and these settings for supercache: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
I have alsop check ed your page speed on google and you seem to get a pretty good speed: http://screencast.com/t/Gwr48qvLWi
We did not see any score of 63.
The resources you mention are nowhere to be found.
As a note, the plugin works fine but there could be external interference that can make page speed slower. Page speed customization falls beyond what the theme support can offer you.
Thank you!
Hi,
It happens a strange thing
I activated all solutions to improve the speed of Page Speed.
While on the desktop everything it is ok and I have a score greater than 90 (93)
the mobile score sometimes is very low (63) in particular for
This JavaScript code that blocks the view:
http://ajax.googleapis.com/…s/jquery/1.11.1/jquery.min.js?ver=1.11.1
http://www.site.com/…s/cookie-notice/js/front.js?ver=1.2.36.1
http://www.site.com/…spaper/mobile/js/tagdiv_theme.js?ver=7.4
http://www.site.com/…cludes/js/comment-reply.min.js?ver=4.6.1
http://www.site.com/…wp-includes/js/wp-embed.min.js?ver=4.6.1
I Use mobile theme with cloudflare and supercacher, speedbooster is active
I tried to delete the cache, but the problem remains, among other things,
not every time i make the test, but often …
Any advice?
Hi there,
I am testing out this theme for my website, http://www.disabledveterans.org. The site itself is just a blog for me. Nothing fancy. I host using WP Engine and have the DNS routed through Cloudflare using the free version. It presently loads under 1 second most of the time.
What are the top load times you have seen with this theme? I tried testing some of the showcase sites using Newspaper on Pingdom but the speeds were generally not below 2 seconds.
Recently I searched this: https://www.google.co.in/search?q=site%3Atomatoheart.com&rlz=1C1GIWA_enIN627IN627&oq=site&aqs=chrome.1.69i60j69i59j69i57j69i60l3.2831j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#q=site:tomatoheart.com&newwindow=1&tbm=vid
and there is no result 🙁
Even Google webmaster is showing 176 indexed video.

The only new thing, I did recently is that I switched to KeyCDN from Cloudflare . What’s wrong? Please help
Hi,
I’ve installed Newsletter template and minimize all options on theme, plugins and more
to get a website faster and a good score on Pagespeed,
but it is not good.
65/100 on mobile speed – 98/100 user experience
80/100 on desktop
I have a cloud server dedicated very very fast.
If you can chat or talk on Skype, I can send you my admin username and password on WordPress so you can check it and other plugins.
Waiting your reply.
