Hi,
Display the category in blocks work with normal posts but not with custom taxonomy.
Here is what I did as a easy test:
1. Create a normal post with “Category” : news
2. Upload and active your “td-custom-post-type.zip”
3. Create a new book with a new “Genre”, example: horror
4. Create a new page “BOOKS”
5. Edit with “TagDiv Composer”
6. Add a new “block 12” section
7. Change “Post Type” to include “td_book, post”
8. Save
9. Verify you have these settings in the Newspaper theme
Block setting -> Category tag on Modules/Blocks -> Module 11 = ON
CPT & Taxonomy -> Books -> Category Spot Taxonomy = Genres
10. Go to your new page “BOOKS”
The category “news” is shown on the normal post, but the category/genre “horror” is not shown on the book post.
Am I missing anything or?
Hi, I am having a problem, when I insert a block below the Big Grid 2, it appears an extra post below the Grid.
Any ideas on how can i fix this or why is it happening?, I attach the images from the Visual Composer and of the Grid itself
Thanx!

I tried to add the following CSS
body.home ul.products { display: none; }
..into the store page’s Visual Composer CSS container, but it doesn’t have the desired effect.
Hello,
I need help with several small issues I am currently facing with Newspaper, but I’ve decided to group topics because it’s easier for me to follow and I’ve also discovered a lot of helpful stuff with your search engine. No need to clutter.
I’ve made Newspaper main page with TD Composer and I am facing two problems.
1. How can I add sidebar to TD Composer created page?
2. I am using Big Grid Slide as a main slider.
a) Is there a possibility to only make biggest image slide and let other images be still?
b) I’ve made Big Grid Slide slide , but it changed position, moved from center and aligned to the left – it overwrites all CSS padding. How can I center it again?
c) Is there a way to change dimensions of Big Grid Slide and/or its elements?
Thank you kindly, more questions inbound when I’m done with this.
Hi,
If I understand correctly the image was displayed vertically in the post page. I have not heard about this issue before, could not say what is causing it. I believe the image is originally like that, from what I can see this is the original image used
– https://i1.wp.com/jazko.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/DSC_0322.jpg
WordPress has an option to rotate the images after uploading them in the media library
– https://www.screencast.com/t/WbasznpouK5
Or you can process the images before you upload them, in a photo editing program for example.
Images should not change orientation once uploaded the intended way. I have not heard of this issue before, but every day is something new.
As I understand there are multiple options to implement that verification code. The easiest way would be to add the code as mentioned, in the theme header file. That will be sufficient. The file is located in the main theme folder, on the server you are using. They can be accessed by FTP
– https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/wordpress-theme-files/
– http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/beginners-guide-to-wordpress-file-and-directory-structure/
Or you could simply use the default WordPress editor, like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ET50xtubPbKo
Regarding the page issue, from what I can see it is not displaying correctly at the moment. Edit the page with the tagDiv composer and make sure all the elements are placed corrector. You could simply remove the block with issues and add it again.
The easiest way to implement additional sharing would be to use sharing plugins. The alternative is by code modification only and manual implementation. I could not say if or when more sharing options will be added in the theme by default.
Thanks
Hello bishwa,
Most likely, you have active both page builders. Disable the TD Composer, clear all the caches and check the results. The VC functionality should works as expected again.
Thanks for the message!
If you still have issues with the composer, please send us an email at the above email address and provide a link to your site and wp-admin so we can login and investigate. It’s also a good idea to make a back-up beforehand.
Thank you!
Hi,
All there is to know about the steps you should take preparing for the update, and the actual update process through different methods is mentioned in this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
The FTP method is the most recommended in this matter.
The theme activation is a one time action, you don’t have to activate the theme again
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-6-how-to-activate-the-theme/
The activation key will be stored in the database after the theme is activated.
The tagDiv composer plugin is a required plugin and will automatically be installed and activated when the theme is installed or updated (starting with version 8 of the theme)
Both tagDiv composer and Visual composer are provided in the theme package. If you want to use Visual composer for your pages, deactivate the tagDiv composer.
You do not have to activate Visual composer, simply disregard the messages
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Worth mentioning that future theme updates will include more features and options for the tagDiv composer only. That should be taken into consideration.
Thanks
Hello fquiquet,
Yes! If you want to change this style you should add the above code which I gave you above directly in style.css and then you can customize each block header from the composer.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
Please edit the page with the tagDiv composer and there you will see all the elements that the page contains. Simply click on the block or element you want and customize it. More information about the tagDiv composer here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Also here are all the available block settings and options
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
Thanks
Hi,
That could be caused by insufficient resources. Please take a look at the theme system status, check if the WordPress and server parameters are set according to this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You could ask your hosting for assistance or ask them to make these changes for you. These parameters are recommended to be set as mentioned, becasue the theme and theme plugins are affected by them.
After they are set, check if the composer works properly. Let us know if there still is a problem.
Thanks
There is issue regarding the responsiveness of the visual composer. I am trying to hide the column in mobile and smaller devices by marking the check box in column responsive option but the column still shows up.
Hi,
The news ticker can be placed in any location of the page, using the composer
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
If you want it under the header simply place it as the first element on the page

hi,
When I try to edit a page with TAGDIV composer, I can’t see how to scroll down through the options (i.e. I can only see down to block 13 and no further).
Thanks
Warren
1. Do I need to activate to update the Theme or
can I just download the latest Theme from Envato?
2. I have never updated the theme. If I download
from Envato and follow instructions is there a risk
the site will go down?
3. If I activate Theme in WP, as suggested, will new
updates of Theme and WPComposer be automatic then?
4. If I activate Theme in WP, as suggested, will
there be an identification between my WP-site and
my account at Envato?
5. WPComposer is a plugin that constantly, just as
activation, remind of registering and activate.
Should I delete WPComposer plugin?
Hi, Can somebody confirm if TD Composer works with Varnish. I have spent several hours trying to make it work with no success.
Thank you,
KrodiK
Hello TagDiv.
I am really happy with your Newspaper theme, but it would be nice if we will have more options and possibilities to change posts. Something like Elementor Builder aned Elementor Extras.
Other thing is that there are situations when I do not need side bar in post or article. Could you please make an option to switch on and off for sidebar for post and article too.
If your TD Composer would be like Elementor builder it would be big big win.
Likely because they are encouraging new first time users with v8 onward to use TD Composer and it’s part of the theme package; while VC is external bundled product and not ‘part of the theme’ and so is now ‘optional’ product.
You can try, but I think it will not work. The documentation clearly states (if I remember correctly) that it is not advised to use both at the same time.
I tried TD composer for few months, but it does not have back-end, and I prefer back end. I also had some issues which I never had with VC.
TD composer is still work in progress and at one point it will be superb, but not just yet. At least not for me.
Hi, TagDiv Cpomposer is great. I used it for some time but it wasn’t working the way Visual Composer does, which is super fluent and easy.
I would suggest for you to try Visual composer instead.
If you still want to go with TagDiv composer, then try deactivating all other plugins, and then try and see is the blank page still there.
(ps. I prefer back-end so VC wins for me)

Hi
I have read in the Newspaper theme that once transitioned to TagDiv Composer we shoud delete Visual Composer.
However, I have been using Visual Composer for creating blog entries in the past. And TagDiv does not work for creating new blog entries.
Is it possible to use TagDiv composer for pages and maintain using Visual Composer for Blog Entries?
Thanks
Manuel
Can you please help?
I just see blank page

Hello fquiquet,
This can be set for each block from Td Compose or Visual Composer from Block settings, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/yT6m6c1s
Thanks.
Hi,
That is the current functionality, the tagDiv composer will be activated after updating the theme. This is not a problem for the users that are actually using this composer. If you use Visual composer simply deactivate it.
From theme version 8 the tagDiv composer is the main theme page builder. Visual composer is an optional alternative.
Thanks
Hi,
The tagDiv composer does not yet have a similar button element as Visual composer. It might be available in a future update however. Sorry for this inconvenience.
If you should consider this a solution, you could use a text element and create the button that way and add a link to it
