The visual composer activation message appears on all sites that use visual composer, not matter the theme or domain. In our case, you must ignore this message as the Visual Composer does not require activation when it’s provided in the theme package. The plugin authors cannot verify this though so they could not remove the message to this particular case. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/

Keep in mind that the Visual Composer come bundled with the theme packet and this plugin is fully tested with the theme and until now, we do not have any bad reports regarding on its functionality with the theme.

I think you got seriously lost someplace.
When you go to ThemeForest, on the downloads page, you can choose multiple options including “all files and theme” or just “the theme.”
As stated, you need to download the main “all files” zip and then unzip that on you hard drive.
In there is a folder called plugins, which clearly contains
1) revolution_slider_5
2) js_composer.zip
3) td-mobile-plugin.zip
4) td-social-booster.zip
5) td-speed-booster.zip
I assure you it is there as thousands of other people here can attest.
You don’t need to ‘update’ the Visual Composer plugin just because an update is available; as it might not be tested to work properly with theme. So VC is only updated when the entire theme package is updated, unless you buy your own VC license separately. So once you install the version included with theme, you don’t need to ‘activate’ it with WP Bakery; but I’m guessing that is not your issue if you didn’t even locate the plugins folder.

Install via FTP
You can install the theme in two ways: through WordPress or via FTP.
The Newspaper WordPress Theme installable file is Newspaper.zip. Please see the following sections for each method and watch our video tutorial on how to install the Newspaper Theme.
Download the Newspaper files from your ThemeForest account. Navigate to your Downloads tab on ThemeForest and find Newspaper. Click the Download button.
On your local computer extract the ZIP folder called Newspaper-tf. After extracting files you will open the folder called Newspaper-tf where you will find more folders (child-theme, documentation, licensing, plugins, psd).
Locate the Newspaper.zip in the Newspaper-tf folder (this is the theme you want to install).

long time i cant update visal composer i got message :There is a new version of WPBakery Visual Composer available. View version 5.0 details. but i cant find that in theme update 🙁
TIP:
you can create multiple “pages” to test layouts, then choose the one to actually make live as static home page. Just make each test page a draft and not published.
This was how I learned to suffer through the learning curve of VC 4 years ago.
In my case, I switched to the beta TD Composer, which is simpler and had all the modules I actually use.
If you import a “demo” then you can edit the different modules in VC from the page holding those elements. Little bit of trial and error to sort of the menu for each element in the grid, but it can be done.

And when I try to update plugins. An error occurred while updating WPBakery Visual Composer: To receive automatic updates license activation is required. Please visit Settings to activate your Visual Composer.
And visual Compsers says that to activate visual composer I need to pay more money. WTF is going on? I paid almost 100 dollars for theme and now I need to pay for required plugins one by one again? What sort of scam it is?

Visual composer doesn’t appear to be working. I can’t add any elements to the page builder. When I click on the visual composer icon it sends me to a link to buy visual composer.

This will not be enough, sorry. I can only guess what you are saying without a link to your site or a screenshot. i guess you are using a wp categories element in your sidebar and only want to show a few categories? Ort are you using a block to show posts from these categories you mention? I can;t say for sure.

disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

1. All of the menus are found in the wordpress menus area under appearance: http://screencast.com/t/yBdMSLtJtU
2. The pictures are posts from your site, not simple images. This is a block that is added over a row that has a background image set to it. It can be edited on the homepage using visual composer. You will have to learn how to edit pages in visual composer and then learn how to use the theme block and their settings in order to filter posts: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
3. You do not have to add a youtube viudeo to your server. You can embed a video into your posts or pages. It can be a featured video: https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image-or-video/, a standard embed (copy and paste the video url into your post content) or a video element in visual composer: http://screencast.com/t/z1dnNwPCD
Here are a few refference tips for a starting out with wordpress and themes.
1. You will have to learn how to use wordpress and how to create posts, categories, pages…etc. There are loits of online wordpress tutorilas that provide this info

3. Learn how to use the visual composer plugin as you will need it to add or edit content on your pages.

insert photos in posts is working.
but i can insert photos in pages. when inserting photos, media library works well. when choosing a photo and click insert, nothing happens. the media library windows just stay there.
and this also happened in Slider Revolution plugin.
tried to disable Slider Revolution plugin and Visual Composer plugin, the problem still exists. And tried to switch to another theme, inserting photos in pages worked again. so I think it should be some bugs to the theme.
