Hi,
I don’t think I fully understand what you are asking. If you choose to install a demo it will display just like in the live preview. The demos can be seen here for example
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/select_demo/select_demo_newspaper#demos
The imported content may be different, but the layout will be the same
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
Please correct me if I misunderstand and provide more details if possible.
Thanks
Hi,
If you mean the mobile menu/search background image, the theme demo uses an image if this size for example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/NfE59bYor
You can try experimenting with an image like this, or make some tests with different sizes and see which are best to be used as background.
Thanks
Hi,
The latest version of the theme is 8.1
– https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
You can install the theme using these guides
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-wordpress/
The tagDiv composer is specific to the theme, and it will be installed and activated by default when the theme is installed
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
The demos can be previewed here (right of the page)
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
You can install the demo you want from the available ones
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
Visual composer is not required anymore, you can use the tagDiv composer for page building. However it is still provided in the theme package. Please let us know if you have any further questions, and we will try to help you as soon as possible.
Thanks
Hi,
Full width header logos can be achieved with the theme. Please note that not all header styles have a limit for the header logo (header styles 9, 10 and 11 do not have a required logo image size)
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/logo-favicon/
For example in these demos, header style 10 is used
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_cars/
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_craft_ideas/
In pages there are Full big grids that can be used
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/
Also rows containing page elements can be stretched to full width, when designing the page
– https://www.screencast.com/t/0Q7tu3xm73M
Category pages can only be customized in the theme panel at the moment
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-category-settings-work/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/category-top-post-styles-2/
Thanks
Hi,
If you mean access to the Visual composer template library, I believe that feature is available only for purchased plugin licence. Not for the bundle version provided in the theme package.
You could use a Homepage post element, somewhat similar to the post template
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/homepage-one-top-post/
Or a Full Big grid
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/
Or even the Revolution slider maybe
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_politics/
There is no exact element like that post template is designed at the moment, using the tagDiv composer.
Thanks
Hi,
If you mean the theme panel settings, those can be exported and imported
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
If you uninstall a demo, the process will remove the theme panel settings that were imported and the dummy content (posts, categories, sidebars etc). Your own content will no be affected.
Thanks
Hey there,
I currently run the Gadgets Demo of Newspaper theme but have run into a few problems:
1. There seems to be some trace of LayerSlide WP from the theme (eventhough the plugin is deleted) and it is causing some errors with other plugins.
2. Guest authors using Co-author plugin. Can you please tell me where to paste the code for this plugin just for the Guest Author capability? I know the multi-author is a little more complicated but I just want to know how to integrate guest author just like any other author in theme. (where to paste the necessary code).
3. How do I update the theme without loosing all of the customizations on it? I read your tutorial but when using the envato market plugin it says the theme file already exists. Using ftp, I will loose all the customizations of the theme. Can you help?
It’s a boxed layout, vs wide layout; doesn’t have some of the different demos; NP has some additional bloat as the “big gun” for TD sales. Newsmag is a little more focused on publishing a magazine vs being anything for everyone as NP is.
There is a comparison between the two themes around here someplace.
Hello again,
For CSS i see today that it’s no work also.
My code on wp-content/plugins/td-speed-booster/td-speed-booster.php for move the style on footer it’s like that but still the same message on page speed test: Your page has 12 blocking script resources and 13 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page.
I realy don’t understend what it’s wrong!
function css_mover() {
//if ($this->td_theme_name == ‘Newspaper’) { }
// wp 011 – Newspaper 6
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘bbp-default-bbpress’); //bbpress old
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘bbp-default’); // bbpress
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘contact-form-7’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘simple-payments-css’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘rw-site-rating-css’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘usp_style-css’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘td_live_css_frontend-css’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘google-fonts-style-css’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘rw_toprated-css’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘rw_recommendations-css’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘td-theme-css’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘td-theme-demo-style-css’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘social-logos-css’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘open-sans-css’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘jetpack_css-css’);
Hello
I’m using the demo…
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_health/
At the top left there is Login link but there are no Register link!
How to create Register link
Thank you
1)
I have newspaper 7.
Didn’t use it till now. So I a new here…
2)
Is it possible to get the new demos (I don’t see business demo for example).
3)
Should I install tagDiv Composer?
And how?
Is it a plugin? I can’t find it in wordpress.
If not, I get this message:
There is a new version of WPBakery Visual Composer available. View version 5.2.1 details. Automatic update is unavailable for this plugin. To receive automatic updates license activation is required. Please visit settings to activate your Visual Composer. Got Visual Composer in theme?
So what is the license to updat that plugin?
e.g., try inspector on any of the demos
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/discover-the-10-best-hairstyles-according-to-your-face-shape/
640×428 apparently
also, in Chrome inspector, in right box, there will be at very bottom an “illustration” of the image and padding div, showing the dimensions as rendered.
I had an existing site using the Newspaper theme and I just added the plug-in Tag Div Composer and Deactivated Visual Composer. Then I downloaded one of the demo sites called “health & fitness”. (And I see that my old blog posts are showing up which is good).
since I am using your demo site. Do I need to totally recreate the site pages with Tag Div Composer?
And do I delete the old version of the pages?
If I need to do this then how do I do this? I am not sure where to start.
(When I edit the page using Tag Div Composer I see red bars at the top of the screen that say Invalid Page Template)
Hi
we have been using retro dark,http://weareyoung.ng/
now my boss wants us to use lifestyle demo
unfortunately, we have gone far with building. is it possible for us to export our already built site settings and import it when we switch to lifestyle demo.we would not want to loose our settings
Thanks
well, check your site https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_magazine/category/world/
on Chrome. Whole site stay in same position when you click on different catgeory. But try mozilla or IE. whole site stay. Does not move at all. There is no posibility to fix this?
Hello MrOrsh,
Please provide your website URL and some useful screenshots to show me where exactly is the problem. Most likely, this issue happens due to your side because, as you can see in our demo, this does not exist, sorry! If you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of these, leave just only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and the plugins which are tested with the theme and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
Each Big grid has predefined styles that you can select. Those can be seen here for example for the grid you mention
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-5/
If you would like to keep the current grid style, you can try this code that will remove the shadow applied on the thumbnails
– https://www.screencast.com/t/G136zrY1g0nD
Enter the code in Theme panel->Custom CSS if you decide to use it
.td_block_big_grid_fl_5.td-grid-style-1 .td-module-thumb a:last-child:before {
display: none;
}
Thanks
Hi guys,
all magazine urls, and the shop urls, additionally, are in Cyrillic. I don’t want to change this. I never had any issues with this, so far.
Simion, thanks for your research and advice. I only can understand how to do the SQL command, which is suggested in your second link. However, I get an error before executing the command:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/obzy3nz3cqrorao/demo-1.jpg?dl=0
I made a print screen on the tables in the database where their encoding is visible. Maybe it could help:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/kiem8m5n1m987e1/tables.jpg?dl=0
Simion, one more thing – the suggested above editions change the url of the logo (even not properly), but when I scroll down, the url of the logo in the sticky menu changes back to the default url of the home page of the magazine. I guess there are some more edits needed in order to fix this.
Here are once again both files that were edited:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/6ok6oj1sh5s7vur/AAAS4ZSdT9TOW-EvEqD65Bysa?dl=0
As always – thanks for your constant support!
I have started experimenting with moving to the Gadgets template for my site. However I have encountered an issue where the Main Menu is overlapping the content on standard pages (like the homepage) that uses the default page template. If I change the template to for example “standard template + heading” the issue goes away. However I do not want to have a header (that says “Home”) on the top of my frontpage.
It is like the Main menu gets floated over the content. And that the content starts at the top of the page with the Main menu placed on top of it. Maybe a fixed position issue somehow?
What can be done about this? The issue doesn´t seem to be present at the demo page (https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_gadgets/). However I have a hunch it might have something to do with the fact that the top pictures are aligned directly with the menu (as seen in the demo). I.e there is no space (padding) between the menu and the beginning of the actual content.
Hope you understand what I mean. Can´t send you a link unfortanely since the test-site is only backend.
Hi, Today morning, I received an email from openbugbounty.org claiming a security vulnerability on my website. On further checking, I discovered that this issue was reported by user called “npuser500′ here is the link to the user, https://www.openbugbounty.org/researchers/npuser500/
On further research, I noticed that this user has also reported the same error on Tagdiv.com and demo.tagdiv.com sites as well.

The security reports can be read here : https://www.openbugbounty.org/reports/279730/
https://www.openbugbounty.org/reports/279729/
The reported security issue is called “XSS vulnerability” which can be used for ”
Cross Site Scripting”. It appears that this can be related to WordPress and hance affecting to all WordPress based site. Is this a real security concern? What should I do or what are you planning to do?
The reporter’s email ID is “sirujam@vivaldi.net” should we contacted him for resolution or we can resolve this issue by ourselves.
Kindly help me with this.
Thank you.
Hello,
The mouse over effect is only available for big grids though. You do not have any big grids on your site. You can see this effect here:
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
As you can see, just the top grid has a hover effect.
Thank you!
Hi,
1. By default the front page displays a list of your latest articles (blog). If that is what you want it to display, the module can be changed in the Theme panel->Template settings
– https://www.screencast.com/t/8VpT8n4gm8JK
That controls how the posts will look, an also allows you to choose a sidebar for the page.
However, you can build your own homepage with the tagDiv composer
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
More information about the composer here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
The available block settings are mentioned in this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
You can see how all the blocks, big grids and full big grids look here (check the features menu)
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
2. The tagDiv composer is a front-end page editor, so you can see how the page will look while building it. If you mean changes in the theme panel, those cannot be previewed. You will have to save the settings in the theme panel, and then see them on the website.
Please correct me if I misunderstand something.
Thanks

Hello d_alinus2004,
Regarding on page speed, please notice that thing depends on how well your site is optimized. Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services are not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit to our requirements. For an example, you should check our demo preview because this website is optimized.
There are multiple guides and tutorials here on the forum regarding speed optimization, that you can search for and read:
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Thanks for your understanding!
