Unfortunately, this error could come from a big number of problems. I believe it happens due to a server configuration which is not responding, it could be due to a delay or it could also be a temporary issue so you can try this a few times and if you still get this error please contact your host provider and let him know about this, ask them to unblock our demo in order to retrieve the theme data. It could also happen due to your wp install or other plugins might also cause this. Also, make sure that your permission for the upload folder is set correct. You can check this by trying to upload an image in the media library. If the process succeeds then the permission is okay. If not you can use the c-panel to change permissions (set them to 777) or if you do not have access to the Cpanel, please contact your hosting provider.

Hi,
The sidebars can be added in 2 ways in our theme. The first way is through the widgets area. You can add a custom side-bar and add widgets to it and then set it to categories, posts or pages. Please follow this guide to see how this can be done: https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/
The second way of adding a sidebar is through visual composer and it only applies to pages. You can split the row in 2 sections and add elements to the split section as our demo pages are created: http://screencast.com/t/Obnzo8lyh2Fa

Hi,
the background color for the entire body can be changed but it requires a bit of customization. The easiest way to do it is to simply install the black version demo (without content) so the style of the demo will be installed on your site. If yu do not want to install the demo, you can maybe replicate the css found here: http://screencast.com/t/Y6iShobX

You can try to install the blog demo again in newspaper 7 to see if the css was changed. I see a width of 500 px added to the logo that does not come from the theme’s style.css that affects it’s position. http://screencast.com/t/Zfk0Xzx4z
Based on the code I assume it’s an optionr from jetpack. Please remove this option.

I really love the Black Version of the theme and I want my website to look exactly like this. When I try importing only the settings, it gives me the look of it but apart from that there is nothing there.
Is there any way, that I can import the demo content and edit them as my own? Or, is there any other options available for the same?

In your Night mode theme, you have labels like World News, Travel Guide, Tech, Health, Sports.
Plus, in between of the demo theme, you have five different categories with icons, Fashion, Sport, Music, World and Lifestyle.
I want to know:
1. How to rename the labels?
2. How to rename these categories that I mentioned in the second line.

Thanks for the follow-up emails, much appreciated. As instructed I have deactivated, deleted and reinstalled both plugins from Newspaper\includes\plugins folder. And have activated both. Additionally I have copied the code from the stack and inserted it into the htaccess file.
Unfortunately nothing has changed. Social icons still remain confabulated. The good news is that I opened a new page and successfully used the Visual Composer to place an element.
As for the message else, a rss or another plugin and id does not create the main body classes needed for the demo. I cannot find the single or page classes anywhere on your site. I have no idea how that has occurred as I used only your theme. I have absolutely no idea where to start to rectify the problems

Hi, thanks for your reply, I made a new wp installation within a sub-domain (with only the visual composer plugin active) and it works fine with demo content, now, what does it means? I can not re-build all the site in this new installation, it will cost days of work. How can i fix my old site?

Update: I think I understand what has happened, because i have activate “mobile theme” showing for some reason the mobile version as the primary. There is no way to work with normal theme & mobile
About demo content i am ok now. But i have problem about mobile theme & normal theme when is both activated

After updating the theme, please also update visual composer: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ and also the social counter plugin using the same method. You need to have visual composer version 4.11.2 and social counter version 4.0
The icons in the top menu and the footer have the issue described in the topic I posted above. Please add the code in the htaccess file as the topic suggests but do not copy the code from the forum. get it from stack exchange.

The mobile version should not display in the desktop version as you can see on our live demo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/.
Please disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test your site again and let us know if you still have issues with this.

Hi Bogdan. With all the issues surfacing all at once I’ve become somewhat jaded and frustrated. I have methodically followed the tutorials and nothing happened. Eventually I manually downloaded the new theme unpacked into a folder and then uploaded the Newspaper folder via FTP to then overwrote the appropriate folder on my server. Have eventually updated theme to 7. Set about changing look to Black Demo. More issues (It just has to be something I have configured wrong – dammed if I know). Still have issues with social icons not displaying correctly. Background black color not displaying at all. Web site is http://pigsfly.info. Following tutorial to create page and then use Visual Composer. More issues clicking an item does not install that item into page. Bob

Please try to uninstall it or install a different demo and reinstall the dark theme.

The black version does not require a white background though. If you install the demo and leave it to default, you will see that the header and footer are full width and not boxed: http://screencast.com/t/BzhxghiHdA

So there is no need to worry about a white background on the black demo.
