Note that the Speed Booster plugin disable itself when an incompatible plugin it’s installed. We added this measure to avoid conflicts with the plugins that won’t allow to move their CSS/js resources at page bottom. So Bogdan, it seems it’s not a Jetpack problem, or any other plugin problem, or a proportion problem. And no, the problem in my case was not any alignment. The problem persists no matter alignment I use as it was told to you in my last posts. Actually the problem persists the moment I install a fresh WordPress installation, I install your theme and I upload the first image. Just by uploading it, the 640px problem arises.

“Our theme does not use any thumbnail for images inside the post content. It will show them in full size if it can or it will shrink them to fit the container.”

Hold on… shrink? If we upload high definition images with 6 Mb the theme doesn’t use the thumbnail and uses them and scales them? It means that if we have a post with 20 pictures like this the post will take more than 120 Mb to load?

Also , I haven’t installed “Font Awesome 4 “plugins as suggested by you above but still these icons are working here perfectly. How?

well, the theme update was the thing that messed up the website, especially mobile theme, due that I’m losing 95% of the adsense income!

I’ve updated the “updated” 7.3 as well, reinstalled mobile theme plugin, cleared cache.

the mobile theme looks to be working now and then, but after refresh I see just normal site on mobile, so obviously it’s not working right, and the poor adsense income proves that.

if this is not fixed soon, please advice how to revert back to 7.2 as obviously this one comes with crucial issues.

Yes Torgut… we both have same problem.. I tried 3 times with clean wordpress installation without any optimization plugin like you did. (actually with no any plugin). this problem comes with theme.. photos are very important for my web site (travel blog) so i want to use my own settings..

Again.. Someone please i need help.. (it seems WE need help)

Ps: To find solution,

1) i tried Image Regenerate, image sizes panel, simple image size, and kind of media library management plugin.. but it didnt help..
2) I changed td_wp_booster_functions like tagdiv said before in somewhere… but it didnt help..
3) I created new media size like 850×0 and make it available in post screen… but it didnt help (it automatically turn 640px again..
4) I tried to change ratio scale of image which fit my images.. but it didnt help stil 640px..

my codding knowledge is very poor.. but i believe that newspaper codders can find solution for this..

I even made a clean installation, no plugins at all, I witch between default WP theme – all is good, to tagDiv theme, where the issue occurs immediately. Perhaps I am being just blind but of it was a proportion thing, wouldn’t the default WP theme present the same problem?

I just want to have an image size corresponding approximately to the width of the post contents area.

Don’t know how to automatically delete old thumbnails; I was actually looking at best way to do this myself recently.

One thing you can try, is have your host make a gzip of your entire website, save out as backup on local HD; then try something like this plugin:

Not sure it will help. Have not yet tried it.

For a clean install I went through and found the 5 sizes we use and turned the rest off.

In our case we have tons of images from old theme over 10 years, then tons from the new theme of past 2 years.

Somebody is going to make some moola if they develop a plugin to somehow logically scan the media dbase and smart delete based on sizes after building index — e.g., delete all images with size of 423xN if no longer used. Shazam.

I’d pay $50 for that right now.

FYI just noticed that not all the categories in the WordPress install show up inside the theme panel>Categories

What would cause that ?

Im uploading 1200 px images, im not using photon, or any optimization tool..

1) I setup my wp, media settings and image size as (Large; 850×850,) (Medium;650×650,) and (thumbnail;450×450)

2) I upload my images

3) I import my posts and start to place images (with no side bar)

4) While placing images, there were no problem and i can add my images as i arranged like (Large; 850×850,) (Medium;650×650,) and (thumbnail;450×450)

5) I install Newspaper Theme

6) I write new post and try to add image but image sizes are changed.. New image size are; large is 640px, medium is 640px

I didnt do anything, I didnt install any plugin except visual.

7) I checked my settings again in settings-media.. and it shows that my original arrangments..

My Problem: when i try to add images to post, I cant see my preferences like (Large; 850×850,) (Medium;650×650,) and (thumbnail;450×450)

Please i need help..

Like I have already described I have two installs running on a local environment. One with the demo content installed which I have just replaced the logo image, I then have another install where I was trying to recreate that feature. I have gone through everything side by side to make sure the setting are the same (which I believe they are), however I feel I may be missing something obvious but just don’t know what??

Could you shed any light on what I am probably doing wrong??

I am really sorry if my question frequencies are too much. I have just changed my website theme from My MyThemeShop SociallyViral theme to NewsPaper theme. My website is https://tomatoheart.com . I have done 100s of customizations with the help of MyThemeShop developers but since now I have to change the theme I have to do everything again. 🙁

Please let me know how can I give you my website login credential so that you can internally look at it. I am still continuously learning and changing things and exploring all available threads here for help.

I don’t find any reason ask you basic questions like how to install theme or plugins so all I want is little customizations help. I am very well aware that you won’t entertain any huge customization requests and hence I am trying only to get small help from you for the minimum customizations that can be done in limited available time.

The rush of questions will be at pick for few days and then I won’t have much questions to ask for the rest periods of my support days.

Since I am not aware of CSS coding things. SO, I don’t know the difference between what is easy and difficult for customization. So, I am asking whatever I think I should change. Please be patient a little as I am very hopeful to make a high-quality website based on NewsPaper theme.

And yes, I am really loving this theme. Thank you for making it 🙂
