Thank you for the response and clear instructions .

Few things-

As of now I have 25+ plugins installed under the wordpress while as I can see in the screenshot http://screencast.com/t/RZLIOPUNdqh , there are almost 10 plugins whitelisted under TDbooster.

Does it mean that having any other plugins other than these 10 plugins will automatically disable the TDbooster even if it is activated under the plugin dashboard. Right?

But then on my “system status “dashboard ( see here : https://i.imgur.com/rpcyRvM.jpg ) why it’s showing only one incompatible plugins even though there are 15+ plugins which are activated but not whitelisted under the tdbooster plugin? Or is it because under the “system status” it can only show one name, no matter even if other plugins are also causing compatibility ?

Now about the workaround solution:

1. Can I whitelist the incompatible plugins ( in this case the one plugin name “adminise” shown under system status ) If yes then what code should I write there under the TDbooster .php file.

2. The second method you said is to remove ( or commenting out) the code which causes the restrictions on incompatible plugins and hence I should remove the codes shown here http://screencast.com/t/RZLIOPUNdqh .

And you somehow missed to respond on the point no-5 in my previous comment where I tried to detect the JS/CSS files but couldn’t achieve the desired result. I am copying the same question here again:

but then I compared it with my blocking JS/CSS listed under Pagespeed ( look here: http://pastebin.com/EH2uS3Pz )

But the problem is, almost none of the JS/CSS files listed under Pagespeed is matching with the one I extracted from my sites using functions.php code. For example- As per Pagespeed, I can see that YTSubscribe and Facebook Login JS/CSS files are causing issues, but I can’t find it under the extracted list.

Please take your time and help me to achieve greater speed and performance of my site. I am worried because just few days back under my old themes, I used to have 97 Pagespeed score and 90 Yslow scores but currently it’s too bad 🙁 ( Have a look at my speed scores on 20th august 2016 snapshots: https://i.imgur.com/JbnKtAO.png )

benefit of WP super Cache is that its built/managed by same team who build WordPress, so it’s generally the “most compatible” and works best with themes plugins optimized for latest version of WP and normal use-cases of WP installs and WP 4.6x compatible plugins.

Various other caching plugins work, too, but you need to experiment as to which settings (avoid minification settings and similar!) work for your particular server setup, plugins, hosting account, storage space, etc.

So you don’t have to use WP Super Cache — it’s your website — but you should consider using similar settings in your cache plugin as those recommended for WPSC.

Weird. Our issue was totally due to Visual Composer, and not the theme.

Also as a tip for system overloads:

a) disable xmlrpc
b) install the “limit login attempts” plugin.

Please make sure that you update the plugin according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ also try to deactivate all other plugins then try to install Visual Composer again.

Guys, under the preload tab within WP Supercache there is no option to select “preload all post” as in this guide

How do you get that option?? because it seems like the plugin isn’t caching without it. I checked one of my other sites and there too the cache contents are empty…and no option to select “preload all posts”

I have installed Wp Super cache after your specific recommendation. But I’m not satisfied. W3 total cache is 1000s time better all-in-one plugin than Wp super cache. In comparison to W3 total cache.. Wp super cache plugin does nothing.

If you don’t need Visual Composer then is not necessary to install it, the theme will works fine without VC, just make sure that you update the theme at V 3.1 as I’ve indicated above.

Please note that the plugin is still ion beta version and there is a change to not work as expected on any wp configuration. It may conflict with one of your plugins so try to deactivate them all, then try to use the plugin again. It’s best to test it on a test install, not directly on your live site, just to make sure that there won’t be any issues.

I dont and never had Visual Composer installed

The browser will cache it pretty agressively.

Make sure you delete old favicon files in your root folder, then go to your site and refresh browser. Delete browser cache, obviously (history, in chrome).

Upload new favicon.ico and Apple precomposed files to your web root.

Make sure none is specified in the theme panel when you do switcheroo, obviously. Make sure one is NOT in the media folder.

Usually works. Went through this recently myself, actually. Had to reinstall site after server crash, from backups, and the default Plesk icon was stuck there for a bit.

To anyone considering this plugin; it works very well and we’ve been using it for years, although in a slightly hacked version. 50,000 installs and counting on the repo.

The trick is to use to rotate ads randomly on view which is default behavior and NOT try to set funky schedules to have ads rotate every xx minutes, which is wrong and will overload system and violate most ad networks.

if you READ THE FRIENDLY MANUAL for the plugin; it’s designed to ROTATE ads; meaning each time a page is loaded, a different ad is served. This violates no ad terms; so you can serve an AdSense ad one time, then house ad the next time, in same ad spot, very simply.

Put another way, knowing the terms of use for any ad service like AdSense is important if using that, whereas loading your own ads off your own site you can do whatever you want.

AdRotate does NOT work like an animated GIF ad server.

Traditionally it has been used to “randomly” load ads from a set ad group which you can define, and you can put any ad group into any widget or ad spot you wish.

Only you can be responsible for knowing the “rules” for any ad network to which you participate and act accordingly. An ad server plugin is only a tool, it’s not making choice for you.

And reading the instructions properly, helps too.

@Chris: How do I update the plugins?

The way I’ve been doing this is put the Newspaper folder (previously a zip file within the Newspaper-tf zip) into my WP-Content folder via FTP. Then go back into WP backend and ‘Activate’ it.

@Catalin: I had to restore a previous version of my site when the FTP upload failed to correctly install. I’m working on that first thing this morning and will post as soon as it succeeds/fails. 🙂

When I upload and activate the newest version of Newspaper, should the VC and Soc.Ctr. plugins also automatically update through this FTP process? Thanks!

Thanks Bogdan! Yes, we’re not familiar at all with your product. We’d lunched our 110 page website using a completely different set of products; tools & templates, having to re-educate ourselves on your platform has been a challenge and detailed info is very helpful. We’ll follow your instructions and hopefully will not have to ask for further clarifications.

One pesky problem, the weather widget that ships with the template is useless for our location – always off by 10-15c. I’ve contacted the provider over a month ago and they are aware of the problem but have not corrected it. I attempted to install a different widget that we use and has proved to be very accurate on our existing site but it does not show up as an available choice for the sidebar. Am I doing something wrong?
