System Status for Newspaper V 6.6.3 – - topic

I installed a fresh copy of Newspapter 6.6.3.

In the System Status tab, it states:
Speed Booster v4.2 – Disabled – incompatible plugin detected: revslider/revslider.php
SpeedBooster detected an incompatible plugin, to avoid any possible errors the plugin automatically disabled itself. For more info about this please contact us via the forum – https://forum.tagdiv.com/

Please help.

Hi

I bought this theme months ago but don’t know much about WP so it took some time for me to get into this.

In the “PAGE” section, it doesn’t look anything like the YouTube tutorial here:

Any ideas?

Hi,

Please make sure you use the latest theme version 6.6.3 and you update also the Social Counter plugin so you will be able to complete also those fb details as it is specified in the guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/

Unfortunately we did not tested this plugin so I’m afraid that I cannot make any suggestions as this needs time for installation and debugging and unfortunately we are not available for custom services at this time, sorry! Hi,

You don’t have to activate the Revolution Slider, it comes bundled within the theme files and you can find it in the /plugins folder – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-install-revolution-slider-v5/

@capitano83 – As Chris S said try to remove all plugins (Visual Composer, Social Counter, Speed Booster and Rev Slider) and install the new ones from Newsmag -> Plugins – http://screencast.com/t/MjPANfW3W

Also try to disable the rest of the plugins and see if the issue is still there. If the issue is gone enable the plugins one by one until you find the one which causes this issue.

Looks like perhaps your directory is not writable or a server mis-configuration at hosting level. Theme doesn’t manage plugin install, WP does.

Best way to install plugins is actually download from the WordPress.org repo, then install via FTP on your site.

Hello,

I have Newspaper Theme v6.5 installed on my website.

URL : http://www.naukrinama.com

I want to do the following thing :

a. Enable Comments at the bottom of my Category Pages.

b. I want to add “Last Updated/Modified DateTime” to the Category Page meta’s which will contain the time of the last post added to this category.

Please let me know how can this be achieved.

Hello,
This maybe has to do with your WP install. Please check if you installed wordpress properly and try the same thing on a wp default theme. If the problem is still there on another theme then it’s WP causing the issue and it needs to be reinstalled.

Hello Bluehacks,

Please ensure that you have the latest version of the Theme (6.6.3) and this was released on 23 December 2015. This kind of issues were caused from WordPress 4.4 and not from Yoast Plugin. After you have updated your theme, please try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer and SEO Yoast (tested plugin), clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and try it again. It is necessary to do this because in that way you can rule out the plugins in conflict which can cause some errors in theme.

Hi, on a new latest WordPress installation. I installed the theme and after clicking to the plugins link in the dashboard ( in the left side bar ) it opens the main front page i have set , only the editor option works( however the link is still http://chloesdeals.com/wp-admin/plugins.php/ ) and not the plugins menu !
Any help ?

Hi

I’ve tested the comment system on my side and works fine: http://screencast.com/t/u4D2iKFW6 I am not sure why this happens on your side but you can try to deactivate all plugins, leave just Visual Composer active, clear all caches and test again. You also can try to make a new local install on your computer, with the latest version of WordPress, the current version of the theme available on themeforest, V 2.3.4, and Visual Composer plugin, then check how it goes.

Thanks for your revert !

I am currently on v6.5 and there are certain mid updates that I have missed as per what I can see in the theme documentation.

Hence a direct movement to v6.6.3 is not possible.

Can you share with me the Patch files and the final theme files of the latest version so that I can step wise move to the latest installation of the theme.

I am dropping you an email as well from my ID referring to this conversation.

Please let me know once you have sent the necessary files on my email !

Install from just the theme folder zip and not the “all files” zip that has things like photoshop file, docs, etc.

Hello,
A few month’s ago I bought and installed theme ‘Newspaper’
I have all the time the same version which i installed first time.
I received 2 e-mail about update theme to new version.
I have never done this before, but I considered it important to do so fast.
I done backup database, update wordpress and plugs but i dont know how i can update themes.
I do not want to spoil.
I tried do update in Newspaper – Theme panel after logging in wordpress but I got error :
Import script started:

> Newspaper 4 settings not found in database! td_008 – not found
> Quiting!

I waiting for answer.

I’m trying to install and am getting this error message. Please help us get the theme installed!

Hi

First of all make sure you do a backup of your current theme/wp install and database also: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups and in case something goes wrong in the update process you can always go back to the previous working version and try again. Then you have to edit the indicated file on your computer using a text editor. The file can be found in the folder that you downloaded from themforest here: http://screencast.com/t/cjbjlEbbDqW After you make the changes upload the file via ftp on your server.

Hi

Please make sure that you updated the theme according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ deactivate the child theme, empty all caches, deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer and test again. Also you can try to make a fresh install on your computer, only with WordPress, the theme and the Visual Composer plugin and check if this issue is still there.
If the problem persist please address as via email and we will inspect it in shortest time possible.

"Front Page" Section Names - topic

Again, my website is http://www.diskingdom.com . I want to change the section names where you see “Lifestyle News” “House Design””Tech and Gadgets,” etc.

I’m using the default demo installation because I like the layout. I’m just missing how to modify those section titles. Thanks!

First, I just bought the theme and it’s great minus a few things I need help with. My website is http://www.diskingdom.com

I am using the demo theme layout and I noticed some code in the sidebar. I figured out that the tag div social counter plugin was not installed. So I installed that and the look is great. However, no matter how many times I try to update the Facebook, twitter, youtube, etc, it does not change. the twitter and youtube continue to point to the default evato pages. Any help on this?

To my rudimentary knowledge, it seems that the demo template has this information stored elsewhere from the widget in the sidebar which might explain why the code was showing in the sidebar before I had installed the plugin?
