I bought yesterday a theme via themeforest.net, I want to use this theme for video blog (vlog), I want to install demo theme video, just to replace with my own links (vidEo) can you help me ? but concept will stay same as a demo.

Thanks Chris – no, it wasn’t that, since we haven’t upgraded to WP4.2 yet. Turned out to be a problem with Visual Composer which we’ve just re-installed. Gggrrrr…. !!!! Plan to upgrade to 1.71 newsmag soon – but will wait a few days to see how it goes with others first 😉
Likely because your site got updated to WordPress 4.2 for the security fixes.
You might try
a) clear all your caches, especially in your browser
b) reinstall the theme with “latest” 1.71B version from Themeforest.
I got mail from envato about theme update. I installed envato plugin and set API key.
There was options to update theme. So, I update it.
But when I look on my blog I see this version: Version: 444

Is this last version? Or plugin doesn’t work as it should be?
Could you please check your sites with BuddyPress installed. See the:

You can find the zip file that you need to install in Newspaper-tf folder from files that you have downloaded from themeforest, so please make sure that you unzip the downloaded file.

I’ve used this theme before but after moving that website in to another system I’m now trying to set up another site using this theme. So far it started with creating a serious issue on the server. (which is to technical for me to understand) it doesn’t work with regular ad code that I’m using on other sites etc. I’m now chosing a theme from another provider but do wonder if these are common issues on a fresh install of wordpress?
Yes, install correct zip file. Install the “theme file” not the “all files” zip. 😉

note to all having this issue … not a new “theme bug” per se;
this actually caused by install of WP 4.2 and *not* the theme update
… one of my sites running 1.6 which I just updated to WP 4.2 now has this same issue with just the “categories” widget — none of the other widgets affected I’m using (might impact other ‘default’ widgets; but not impacting tag cloud …

My problem is not with your theme, wich is amazing and I’m proud of using it, but with the ads.
I’ve tried a lot of solutions and your help is my last hope.
I work with a company for a few months with another website, wich is not wordpress builted and the ads works perfectly well. But we are having problems with the ads on the site that I’ve created with your theme. According to them, the ads are shown on the site but they are rejected by the advertisers. Our opinion is that, somehow, the codes the company gave to me are not identifing correctly the site. There is also the bots question, but we have 3 different protections against bots: a wordpress plugin, clouflare and a robots.txt.

I just bought the Newspaper theme, and installed it on my site I’ve never used the Jetpack plugin before, but as it was recommended, I installed it.
There seems to be a ton of features to choose from, my only interest is making the site as fast as possible. It seems like some would override the existing theme features like “mobile theme” for example.
So far I’ve just activated “Photon”, I wonder if maybe you could recommend which others I should activate, and which to avoid?

Help is requested regarding how to get rid of render blocking Javascript and CSS. I have gone through the pagespeed guide and all 14 pages of sticky post titled Pagespeed but could not figure out how to achieve this.I have speed booster plugin installed and have retrieved registered scripts and styles using the code provided in pagespeed guide.
Render blocking scripts and styles are different than registered scripts. so,
1. How can I register unregistered scripts
2. Where to place ID’s on speedbooster plugin
I need little bit of guidance.

Wait for tagdiv to provide help on editing the big grid module to load image at 100% width and hide overlflow. Of course if you set percentages, that might not work consistently unless all your images are same size. And 100% width wouldn’t fill both width and height ….
Installing the plugin simplest thing. It’s tiny. We use it on all our sites. Only “best solution” to your issue.
If you downloaded the theme from a “warez” site they often have malware.
If you bought the theme from ThemeForest, and you look at the installer on your hard drive and it has a virus you may need to scan your system, but also contact ThemeForest to double check the downloads are not infected in some way “all of a sudden” — when did you download the files?
If the virus is ON YOUR DOMAIN in those folders, your site may have been hacked. You should change all passwords, and delete and reinstall your WordPress files, delete and reinstall all plugins and themes RIGHT NOW.
None of our sites running these plugins have this issue.
Has anyone here ever had a problem with the text editor in newspaper? mine hasn’t shown up since I installed it.
I bought the template but there is no demo content.
I installed the demo in “Theme panel” –> “install demo” but the menú only shows 2 items (Hme pages and Contact us) and there isn’t any image.
How can I have de original (as shown in the themeforest web) template and content?

Based on the error some database tables are missing. What version of the revolution slider you use? Please try to remove the plugin then install it again from the /plugin folder that was provided within theme’s files.
Let us know how it goes and also let us know if this is a rev slider plugin fresh install or if you had it installed before and if you are working locally or live.

I’m trying to get it working and thought being double-sure the theme is the latest version I’ve downloaded the theme again and tried updating it. But I got this:
