On two of our sites familyproof.com and toddstarnes.com the mobile menu will not open. Is there documentation on fixes here? We are unable to find the issue.

Make sure you are using the latest version of the theme (9.2.2). Download the latest version of the theme from themeforest.net then go to the newspaper>plugins on your WordPress dashboard and update the mobile plugin from there.

I’ve installed Smush and Autoptimize, but it’s not really making a difference. What can I do to improve this?

@adamshut Does it happen when you access the page to edit it with the composer, or while saving the page in the composer?
Currently there is an issue when attempting to save in the composer, it is caused by the mobile theme plugin. The issue is investigated and will be fixed.

They will be doubled if you set the latest posts as featured as well. The top grid will display featured posts, below it there will be latest posts. If the latest are also featured, then they will show up twice.
There are various solutions in the forum, such as setting an offset for the latest section by 3 posts, like you did

Did you have disabled from Theme panel from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/EvONOgrFL? You should activate this option and then, using a bit of CSS code, you can turn off for desktop and turn on only for mobile devices, using the @media queries.

I faced A wired problem. where the links dosn’t work in mobile view. In othe words it unclickable.

There is links that works correctly in Full view, but try to minimize the screen or view the post from mobile. you will notice that all links are unclickable and not work!!!!.

Hi. I realized that with the mobile plugin enabled, when I click a category page, the hamburger menu does not respond when I click it again to navigate to another section. I have to refresh the page for it to work. That is, like let’s say I click on category “money” from the homepage, then it opens the category, if click the menu again, it does not respond and I am stuck at that category, unless I refresh the page.

Thanks for your answers, very helpful. Unfortunately this hasn’t entirely solved my issue.
This is a short list of the current scenario:
1- My website uses self hosted ads/banners. No ad-sense ads.
2- I’m using AdRotate to manage my banners/ads.
3- I need 5 spots in the homepage to show 5 different ads.
4- Also I need 5 spots for the mobile version which uses a different size.
5- Newspaper only allows me to use 5 custom ads, so far good enough for item #2.
6- Raw HTML won’t help me render AdRotate’s code.
Am I missing something here? Any ideas?

After you created it, add posts in it as shown. These will be displayed in the top mobile grid. Should be no problem.

I don’t quite understand what is this window slider you are referring to. Are you using a plugin? maybe there is a setting in the plugin for it.
Or maybe it is not designed to be responsive or doesn’t work properly on mobile devices.

If there is no Featured category the grid should not be displayed, but it seems to appear. I have added this on our list and it will be investigated. Sorry for the inconvenience.
In the meantime you could create the Featured category like this

I test your website with my mobile and all it looks like to be good; maybe I do not see your problem, or maybe is not appear on all mobiles, please provide some screenshots with the problem, in this way I will be able to provide you a better answer.
On iPad is set off the sticky widgets, because is not a good comparability ( the sticky option if is active on ipad will break your layout of website on this website)

Sorry for the delayed response, seems the topic was unintentionally overlooked for some reason.
1. There is currently an issue when selecting the latest articles template for pages.
While the latest articles template is applied after being selected and the page published/updated, the settings for it are not displaying.
We are working on a fix for this issue however, it will be provided as soon as possible.
2. Between actual modules displaying posts is not possible by a theme setting. With cloud templates you can place ad boxes around the post loop (above it, next to it, below it)

Each can be imported (and modified if needed), there is also a blank template in which you can design your own templates.
3. The best way to place and ad below the pagination is to use the post loop elements instead of the latest articles section for the template. It is basically the same thing, but the loop can be positioned wherever in the page content, with other content around it

4. There was a problem with the theme lazyload in the previous version, it is now fixed however. If you have not already, please update the theme, then clear all caching including browser cache. The problem should be fixed.
5. Usually this kind of issue is caused by caching plugin. I have seen before plugins like total cache creating the problem. We tested the mobile theme with WP Super Cache and it works as intended. But some other caching plugins or settings from them can cause the mobile theme plugin to load for desktop users or various other issues.

I have an issue on the mobile theme with the sticky menu. When I scroll down, all is ok. When I scroll up, a black line appears briefly then disappears (or doesn’t disappear, it depends). I tried with other phones. Same problem. I deactivated all the plugins without results. I don’t know what to do. If it were a white line, it would not be visible but black is ugly.

I have another issue with the sticky widget. It is not sticky on my Ipad. It is on my iphone and my desktop. In the builder, the widget are sticky.

If you are using mobile theme, then you can not change the layout of the mobile.
